While the food and venue were lovely, the service provided was absolutely appalling. At my sister's…read morewedding, a man supposedly in charge of the servers attempted to steal tips from our separately hired bartenders and then proceeded to kick them out--all within the first hour of our cocktail reception. Over a mere couple $20, this individual caused a completely unnecessary scene, drenching the bartenders with water and shamelessly taking the tips they had rightfully earned. Nowhere in our contract with Glenda was there any mention of splitting tips between the servers and bartenders, yet her staff took it upon themselves to enforce this absurdity. The behavior of the back-of-house staff demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, caring only for their own gain rather than the success of our event. Glenda's decision to stand by these actions, which resulted in my sister--the bride--being reduced to tears, was an additional affront to the celebration we worked so hard to create. The utter disregard for the happiness and satisfaction of paying clients at such an important event is not only unacceptable but unforgivable. While the venue itself is aesthetically pleasing, the staff's greed and lack of decorum overshadowed everything. Based on the behavior of the staff alone, I would absolutely not recommend this venue to anyone. Their actions were nothing short of disgraceful and not elegant at all. Luckily our family and friends were able to make this day a memorable and happy day for both the bride and groom despite the less unacceptable services provided by Paradis.
