His images capture the spirit of our events and eliminate the contrived photos that are typical of awards ceremonies and outdoor events. He is extremely professional, and non-intrusive while interacting with guests. He captures the moment at our events in so many different ways we can't quite figure out how he got from here to there in that amount of time - but its impressive. And he provides our photos quickly so we can send them out to our community in a timely manner. Thankfully, Jason had a lot of great ideas for posing and I already knew the photos would turn out amazing! I adore these photos, but as his third birthday approached, my heart was searching for something different. He's not a "sit and smile" kinda boy. He's wild and colorful.. a rainbow that injects creativity into my life. His personality is hard to put into words, but I can SEE it, and I wanted someone to capture *that*. Kelly was the photographer who captured his rainbow blur. Before she arrived, she already had a vision in her head.. a couple of times, I heard her talking through the ideas she had thoughtfully written down. I'm curious as to when those ideas entered her mind.. I dunno! But that's the beauty.. she's clearly inspired by her own lens and life, and she injects that perspective into her fine art photo sessions. She has a plan and a vision, and you just know you're in the hand of an artist. During the session, my son would not sit still. But that's ok, there wasn't any pressure for him to do so. I felt beautiful throughout, even as my body jumped back and forth from strength to defeat as Bruno ran wild.. and despite the intermittent chaos, Kelly took the time to gently guide me into random patches of light that looked simply ethereal in the final edits. Without knowing it, she captured a photo that contained a photo of my late father in the background.. so he was there, and perhaps he was in the light, too? I dunno, but the photos represent more than a happy morning with my son.. they encompass our dance and our blurs and the push-and-pull of our hearts and bodies moving together. They are art. She was AWESOME! During our engagement shoot, she was so patient, down-to-earth, and flexible, and made us feel so comfortable. And our engagement photos were breathtaking. My…read morethoughts are similar to many others here - frustration with the online dating process, love-hate relationship with the apps, not finding quality men, and having a bit of occasional writers block when I did actually connect with someone. So when I decide I am actually going to do something, I tend to move quickly. I setup a phone consult (right from the Yelp app) and talked to Ladan the very next day. We then had a face to face meeting three days later, and another within the next week. She was able to setup a photo shoot for the very next day to supplement some of my existing photos with additional casual photos (shout out to photographer @emilyjoangreene - she was awesome too!). And voila - we went live 24 hours later. Fast forward to 8 days later (today) and I have already received more "likes" than I had in all my previous online dating adventures. Three upcoming dates confirmed, and this is FUN, not frustrating anymore. Ladan moves at your pace, helps you showcase the best of YOU and doesn't try to make you into something that you're not, is accessible for those silly follow up questions, and basically just downright amazing. She loves what she does and it shows.

A $500 loss, but privacy is more important…read more We feel played so please Be AWARE! If you value privacy of "your" photos do not use Robert Knapp. DON'T BE FOOLED - It maybe in writing all over his website, "you own the rights to your wedding photos", however that ownership gives no control over his use of the photos. As soon as we realized his contract gives him full authorization to use the photos he takes we were mortified. We tried to reason w/him for the opportunity to review photos of people/ kids only before he posts them to social media, websites, or shares otherwise and he refused - the photos are his. More worrisome - his website has so many photos, so many private moments kids, family. We are paying for our entire wedding. Working with so many good people and so confused and devastated that paying a photographer a premium to photograph all that we paid for to build our day, to share w/friends and family - he can take and reuse for his purposes. Robert should be paying us to model, the flower lady, the cake lady, because there is no photo w/out the subject! So here we are - foolishly paid the $500 deposit to reserve the date and within a few cold winter days of receiving the contract and going back and forth there was zero progress. Given there would be no peace of mind for our privacy, we refuse to sign the contract and even though Robert had invested only a couple email - he refuses to return any of the $500. Don't miss this statement in Modern Art Photograph's contract, "Unless otherwise specified, it is understood that any and all rights to proofs, final or sample prints, thereof shall remain the property of the studio and maybe used for advertising, display or any other purpose thought proper by the studio."
