Shrimp pasta, great al dente pasta!
    Vincent N.

Limited options in the International departure level for dining, so pretty much this was best option closest to my flight gate. All good, the 2 dishes ordered were delicious! Especially the roast pork plate with potato dumpling and cabbage. Service was great and there are electric chargers at the side tables...in case of looong layover and you need to chill for a bit

    Munich breakfast

Restaurant at the Munich airport. Interesting breakfast menu. Breakfast dishes based on cuisines from different cities. They had a japanese breakfast, chinese entree, etc--wish i took a picture of the menu. Drat--forgot to. I opted for the German breakfast which included veal sausages and a sunny side egg on grilled meatloaf. (see pic) Veal sausage were not bad. Took some getting used to the white color. Don't eat white sausages much but that is the color of veal from what I understand. Also their German meatloaf is totally different from an American meatloaf. Their mealoaf was a lot like luncheon meat. American buyer beware. Holistically, flavor was OK. Just wanted to fill my tummy with something before the 12 hour flight. A busy airport, this eatery does not stand out as somewhere you go to for a delicious meal. More a place that will solve your hunger pangs. I would pass and see if you can stumble on to something better.

    Currywurst, Pommes, Sauerkraut and Beer
    Amanda M.

Oh yea. I got the Currywurst which comes with Pommes and Sauerkraut. The currywurst was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pommes were nice and crispy. Sauerkraut was not sour, served warm with a savory finish. A nice German lager to wash it all down, very satisfied customer right here.

We came to this restaurant at the Munich airport while waiting for our flight. We sat at a table for a while, and no one came to help us order so my partner approached the guy at the counter to ask if he could order. The guy rudely shouted "SIT, SIR, SIT!", and then continued to ignore us for the next 15 minutes. We left and got our food elsewhere. The restaurant wasn't very full, but they seemed very disorganized. I think even if you are busy, you should try to remain polite to people. The waiter's rude attitude was simply not acceptable.

Most elegant meal I've had at an airport, ever

The nicest meal I've ever had at an airport. The place was so pretty and the food was amazing. I had pasta with prawn and the hubs had roasted pork belly. Both were amazing! Such a nice place to eat and relax during a long layover.

    Salmon Caesar take out

In the international departure area of Munich airport, there is much less options than their inter-Euro level. Sissi and Franz offers a take out option in addition to sit down. It is a lovely open spot and it's one of the rare spots that offer easy take out food. For a Saturday morning, they only had the one area open and though I was dying to get a coffee from them, I learned it's from an automatic espresso machine so there's no way to get almond or soy milk. Oh well. That wasn't so good, Their take out offering is pricey but it is freshly made with decent ingredients and fair sizes. There's no option for vegetarians but for those who do like meat ... lots of different sandwiches on croissant or rye bread. I grabbed a salmon Caesar and a fruit cup. Overall, it did add up to nearly $17 Canadian but seeing how it is that or plane food, this was much better. I wish they offered vegetarian salads and coffee drinks with alternative milks. Overall it isn't bad but kinda limiting.

    Crispy roast pork with sauerkraut

Food wise it is better than a lot of airports but it's still not great. Gate G area has much better food in general. The crispy pork had crispy skin but the meat itself was a bit dry and the bottom was totally dried out. The potato ball that comes with it was good, think sticky rice from dimsum type texture. The sauerkraut was a bit too soft and mushy, like babyfood, but flavorful. Overall a 2. I don't rate on service but the waitress and food came fast enough for me but I'm sure results vary based on time of day as there is only one waitress for the restaurant so if you're trying to make a flight better to go down to k gate area or even better in g gates.

Our WORST experience in an airport. We arrived today at 6:45 to this "restaurant" and waited and waited and waited and waited. Only one waitress. When she finally came to our table she mentioned that the kitchen was closed. Beware. In an airport you are supposed to be served very fast. They DON'T understand the concept.

The kitchen with wonderful waitress Schelle

For an airport restaurant The food was very good the prices were reasonable and the service was extremely friendly. Schelle was a wonderful waitress with prompt service the food arrived within minutes of being ordered. Very much enjoyed my experience here in terminal L of the Munich airport.

It's a chain that trades on its age old reputation but delivers ordinary food at its restaurants. The deli on the other hand is fabulous but the restaurants not so. The menu here is mostly traditional Bavarian fare with some daily specials and smaller dishes like a soup for smaller hunger. The service is quite ok and the drink choices are also quite ok. The waiters kept dropping glasses of their trays just behind us and in the time we were there at least three glasses and bowls shattered right behind us. I had the potato soup with sausage and it was too salty for my liking. The pretzels were nice but only arrived later. My aperol spritz was also quite ok. It's a reasonably expensive restaurant for what it is. It's at the airport and you get what you get. I will probably come back here again.

There are outlets around the bar seats everywhere it appears! Charge up all your stuff before you go-go.. My wife would love the cute coffee cups they have with ladybugs. :-)
