My girlfriend and I go there almost every weekend because they seem to add new things every week. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I am a big collector of vintage video games and consoles and have bought many for reasonable prices. We went there this past weekend and sadly there were no consoles but I did find a Play Station One controller. Nearing the end of our visit I noticed in their glass display case attached to counter some sort of Bayonet. I have been going to the store weekly for about two years and this is the first time I saw anything like it. I asked the staff member managing the register if I could take a closer look. After further inspection I could tell that it was defiantly older than WWI (early 20ty century). The price tag was $25 and the bayonet itself was in good condition so I took it for a reproduction. Even if it was a reproduction they usually run for around $60-$70. I bought it and then took it over to a small Civil War museum in my hometown and the curator told me that it was an 1873 trapdoor rifle socket bayonet. The best part is that it was authentic. He also told me that it must've came from someone collection for being in such great shape for an item 142 years old. He valued it at $500-$750 so I made a great deal and it'll be a great edition to my militaria collection. read more

Love,love,love me some sister thrift. I have such great pieces of furniture and the most I spent for one was $14.99. Clothes and decorative pieces are so inexpensive you can't pass them up. The workers are so friendly and on occasion they have a sweet old dog who rests on the floor while you shop. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business. read more

I love this place! It's a giant yard sale, with constantly changing, mostly used goods, and you never know what you might find. Whenever I need something in particular that I don't want to pay full price for, I check in here, and more often than not, there it is. A small chess set, $3.00 or pots for my houseplants; fabulous books are all $.99 even for big, beautiful coffee table books; designer-label clothing in excellent condition; and just a plethora of cool things to browse through. I always spend at least an hour here, and I check in often. And the staff here really is very friendly. read more

Take a trip on Pleasant Street with an hour to spare ... on the way home from Russo's Market! Fantastic place in terms of staff and inventory and parking! There are hundreds of small gift items which are second-hand, authentic and lovingly cleaned and displayed! Definitely recommend driving up to the place -- you will walk out with much more than you planned to buy! Found gift presentation items for my host on an upcoming trip -- a lovely handled basket, tea towel, classic tea tin and a pair of Boston Bean Pots (all for $5!) Also scored lovely woven chair throw with classic lighthouse scene for $4! And a ceramic basket and New England scene tin for $4! I was going to give it a 3, but it gets a 4 from me. I didn't actually buy anything, nor did I talk to the girls running the place, but their enthusiasm and general kindness towards customers that I experienced in my brief time browsing there, coupled with how nice the place was setup (for a thrift store), warranted a decent rating. If I was more into collecting eclectic doo-dads and the knicks and knacks of this world, they'd get my business. read more

The place is pretty small and they have a lot of items so the place is pretty crowded but you can find some good stuff if you look hard. I found some really great items and the prices are bit better than at Savers. The staff is very friendly. read more

Always have great little pieces of furniture! Purchased a beautiful dresser for $14.99. Little dated looking so when I got home I spruced it up and refurnished it to new. Everything is extremely fair in price and they have a card when you spend $20 you get a punch which ultimately gives you a percent off your sale after so many punches. Great cause also! read more

I am here at least 3 days a week! the staff is FABULOUS, I work right across the street, I have got such good deals, I just bought a thomas the train toddler bed for $20!!! in excellent shape! I loved going to this place, but one day the girl manager was very mean and since that day I have not gone back anymore.

i have been in this store2 times, first time i bought electric rollers.the girl that waited on me was very friendly,we talked about the rollers as sometimes 2d hand electrical items dont always work properly. she suggested if they do not work bring them back,just dont take off the green sticker they need that if i want to return the item.the rollers took about 40 minutes to heat up,way too long and really not adequatly hot. so i brought the item back to the store the next day. i couldnt find the receipt,but had left the green tag in place on the item. the same girl was not there but there was an asian woman at the rigister,so i explained the situation to her. she appeared put out and not at all friendly,and said i could not return anything without the receipt.i explained to her that the girl of yesterday said just keep the green tag on it. she said no refund without the receipt. i asked to speak to the manager,and she said she was the manager.still no refund.just then another girl walked back of the counter ,she had heard the conversation,she said "thats not the policy, and we will straighten the other girl out". i said i was not happy with this transaction,and i left. when i went back to the car i kept searching for the receipt,i finally found it and whent back in the store. i gave the manager the receipt and she gave me the purchase price back with no conversation,she was not pleased. i said to the manager ,i wont come back here because of the way this was handled,she said to me , have a nice day! and i left. how rude they were,i will not go back there,and i love to shop at thrift shops,it is supposed to be fun,it was not. maryann c. read more
