The base on my adjustable bed broke so I went to Jerome's where I had a bad experience. I walked out the door and saw that Sit n Sleep was across the street. I headed over there. After about 15 minutes in the store, I left and I was very happy! I was able to buy a new base at a phenomenal price. I told the salesman what I needed and he took me straight to the base that matched my needs. He gave me a phenomenal price. I was able to pay and head home in a matter of minutes. Delivery was set for today. The system they have is fantastic. I was able to track the truck on my computer so I knew exactly when they would arrive. The delivery men were just wonderful. They installed the base and put my bed back in place. They were extremely polite and they worked fast. They were in and out of my house in a few minutes and were very helpful. They left my room in immaculate condition. This purchase was very easy. The salesman & delivery men all deserve 5 stars. What a nice experience. read more

Mom needed a new bed so I brought her back to this particular store (I purchased my own bed, then brought my younger son in for his bed a couple of years ago). Mom wanted to buy from a major retail store, but I convinced her to take a look here at Sit 'n Sleep. She took the mattress "test" and after trying out six beds, she found one! The person who helped us was Kendrick Cole. He was very patient with my Mom and truly helped us find the right mattress at the right price. We also purchased an adjustable frame. He answered her questions patiently and with a great attitude! (Two weeks before we were greeted at the door by someone else 10 min before close and told we couldn't even come in to look!!!) The delivery window was 8-11am yesterday. Given it was a holiday weekend, I was expecting it to be late. To my surprise, the delivery crew arrived 20 min early, 7:40am! They removed her old bed and set up the new one in 15 minutes!! Mom usually sleeps ~4-5 hours a night. Last night she was so comfortable, she slept 8.5 hours!!! She loves her new mattress!!! This is Jerome's not Sit in Sleep. I needed a new mattress for an adjustable bed frame LS2000. The mattress I had from LS , was Under warrant , but after 4 years, the edges were giving. I discovered I needed to pay LS $100 for them to verify it was covered by their warranty. Also It would be prorated,, instead of replaced or repaired. I also would be charged for delivery and pickup of old mattress (4 years). I choose to put it on the street with over 4 years of warranty remaining. I visited 5 stores and 2 websites. I choose to buy from Jerome's after talking to Jenifer, an asst supervisor. Jennifer not only wanted me to buy from Jerome's, but buy a quality mattress for the purpose I discussed I needed. Jennifer is a asset to Jerome 's , by providing the best customer service,. She possesses people skills, with a willingness to satisfy the customers needs, while insuring both customer and Jerome's reach a mutual agreement, and satisfaction. I highly recommend this salesperson . I got the mattress home, and after the first night, I knew my investment and our selection was correct. This mattress has two hand straps on all four sides for lifting. That is the mark of a good design feature. Opulence IV Extra Firm 14 inch. , with no-give edges are a hard to fine item. I gave 4 stars, because I had to wait almost 50 minutes, for pickup. I spoke with service department that morning , to have it ready by 2pm. I told the person, I had rented a U-Haul pickup truck, and I was on a time schedule . I was informed , that would not be a problem. They had 2 days to have it ready. read more

One should buy their mattress elsewhere . They delivered the mattress but only had 1box of legs and it needed 2 boxes of legs . Delivery people left . The mattress was not placed just the base waiting for legs I presume . Communication isn't a priority who I spoke with named ,Casey . No one communicated if someone is really on their way to bring another box of legs for our mattress to be placed on correctly . I had to call back after I seen the delivery men leave in the truck . Apparently , customer service isn't a priority to this place . One man came to bring another box of legs and my husband ended up putting the bed together . It's Just not right ! Updated below Update :: sales person , Fred , came out to set up the bed . It really takes 2 people so my husband helped . They charge $45 delivery fee and we paid in full for the mattress and we had to help set it up . Kudos to Fred to take the time to come out to rectify the situation .But 1person can only do so much . I gave up on their mattress after 3 months trying to deal with these guys, but I definitely want customers knows what happened to me, maybe they can buy with more caution or buy a mattress somewhere else, online as I did. I sold their mattress at Offer Up for $30, as a old mattress. 2 days ago, they called me and sent me an email, after ignoring me for long time, to give me a third replacement, not a total replacement, just a partial store credit or a refund in my card 1/3 of what I paid and with the condition to remove my bad reviews from here and Facebook, Instagram etc., I declined it. I got a real nice mattress right now that I purchased online, finally sleeping well . The last thing I want is a 3rd mattress replacement from these guys that sinks down with days using and deal with their horrible customer service again, a nightmare. So I declined their offer, and they started to blocked me on Facebook. Good customer service! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. NO KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCTS THEY'RE SELLING. I know this review seems comical, but seriously, I would sue this store if I had the time and money. My wife and I have purchased FIVE mattresses from this store. You would think that after the first purchase, they would actually be concerned about the customer, instead of being concerned about making commission on a sale. Michael S. especially, doesn't care at all, he just tells jokes and gives a sales pitch. But I don't only blame them. I blame Sit 'n Sleep. They categorize mattress firmness based on some vague, arbitrary color system. I assume, the categories are based on a relative scale, rather than an absolute one. To them, the Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Soft mattress is considered blue which, to them, means medium firmness. It was the softest and worst mattress out of all FIVE that we have purchased. THE SALES REPS HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THEY'RE SELLING. None whatsoever. Nobody even told us that we can't use heating pads on our Tempur-Pedics. Guess what the "Tempur" stands for... temperature. Which means, added heat will ruin the mattress firmness, which made the softness even worst. It fell like we were sitting in bean bag chairs instead of laying down in a mattress. Went to an actual Tempur-Pedic Flagship Store, and they told me that mattress is one of "the softest mattresses they sell". In other words, it is horrible for people with bad backs. He listened to what I needed and we got started from there. I tested out a bunch of mattresses until I finally found the one I was the happiest with. The one thing I appreciated was that he wasn't trying to sale me the one with the biggest price tag. There is a variety of mattresses that are available in store for you to be able to test and find what you're looking for and at the price you're looking for too. Shopping during COVID isn't always easy, but from the moment my girlfriend and I walked into Sit N' Sleep we knew we chose the right place. We were greeted from the get-go by Kendrick who, like a character out of a holiday special, greeted us warmly at the door, answered all of our questions, let us test countless mattresses, and most importantly put up with our browsing for several hours. WE were by no means the best customers, of course, but we can definitely say that Sit N Sleep did an exemplary job in helping us find the things we needed for our new apartment. Sit N Sleep had resources to narrow down our mattress search in seconds, the staff was genial, and we were able to get a great deal on a comfortable mattress and several accessories. I put all of those details into my calculator and get a smiley face--couldn't have asked for better service. There's a lot of mattress stores in this part of Torrance, but only Sit N Sleep gave me this quality of service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TWICE - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. Visited this store twice over the course of several weeks while looking for a new mattress. Our first experience wasn't great - the salesman had a combative attitude and made several strange/awkward comments directed at my fiancée. He also told us they had a significantly larger showroom than the sit&sleep in Santa Monica (which we had also visited) and that just isn't true. We ultimately left without buying to continue looking elsewhere. A week later we had down selected to a couple of different mattresses, one of which is only available at sit & sleep. We decided to return given we live much closer to this store and we hoped we would have a different/better experience. We did not. The salesman had a similar attitude to the salesman we worked with on the first visit. Either way, I asked if we could price out the mattress and I was told the sticker price is what it is. This is 100% not true - mattresses have the highest margins of any retail product and the price is definitely negotiable. We left without buying and I overheard the salesman tell another salesman as we were leaving that "they aren't ready to buy". We were definitely ready to buy and not only will we take our business elsewhere but we will never return to this store. It's also worth noting that we were looking at spending $5k+ on a mattress and adjustable base so good luck to this store staying in business when they turn away folks ready to buy a premium mattress. read more
