I went with a friend and we ordered takeout. The place is small inside, but it was clean. The staff was very nice. We got a lot of food. The wait time was not bad for the amount of food we ordered. The food was pretty good. I love that we got a lot of vegetables, especially with a duck dish we ordered. The food wasn't salty, and the portions were decent. I'm not one to eat out often, but I would order again from here again. read more

That's exactly what I said the first time I had their red curry, and then again when I had their pad Thai... also, their spring rolls are a great ratio of vegetable to noodle content, the veggies themselves are so good, the taste, their size in meals. Every single time, they blew me away. Oh man don't get me started on their Tom Kha, I had plenty of Tom Kha from thai spots in the city and my fav spots in jersey and Brooklyn, this flavor is not one to beat. Tried red curry here for the first time. Absolutely delicious. My throat was on fire not just because of the spices but because of the flavor as well! LOL. I have been dying to try, but anytime I see pad Thai on a menu I just can't resist. This time, I did and it was a breakthrough moment. The red curry has red bell peppers, onions, string beans and some other non-American veggies that were all delicious. The curry itself was spicy and just so flavorful. It comes with a bowl of white rice that the curry compliments so well! I also got a Thai iced tea here. MAN that was the bomb! So sweet so even when the ice melts, it's still very tasty. The shop is very small. Only two tables. But they have takeout through different apps. For management, I would recommend that instead of having two tables oriented in series with the entrance, maybe it should be oriented parallel to it and use the wooden benches along the wall as seats. Their Thai food is delicious! My husband and I love the Pad Basil (Tofu and Chicken) ($10) so much that we haven't tried anything else. The Pad Basil is a vegetable stir fry with your choice of protein all in a savory and slightly spicy sauce. It's sooo delicious! The veggies are always crispy and very fresh. I can tell and appreciate that they don't use frozen veggies. The dish comes with white rice. Cash only! The food is prepared very quickly. I've never waited more than 10 minutes. Their prices are affordable around $10 for most non-seafood dishes, however the portions are definitely on the smaller side. You can order delivery via GrubHub, Seamless, etc. Also, the chef is such a sweet and talented woman who is actually from Thailand (Chiang Mai) so the food is fairly authentic. The curry is a no go. I'm not sure how they prepare it, but it's not done properly. Whatever they use separates into a chunky "curry", not a smooth curry. food is okay - i love thai food but this place is mediocre at best. i've been here ~dozen times and every time it's been a mild disappointment. whenever i order the basil or pineapple fried rice it's incredibly bland. i end up seasoning it when i get home which i find a bit ridiculous, considering thai food is usually very flavorful. I should also mention that the past two times i've ordered from here, i've found plastic in my food. i ordered pad thai to go and found clear plastic the size of a quarter halfway through my meal. i'm glad i noticed bc if i had actually ingested it, my day wouldn't have ended well lol. second time was in some fried rice i ordered. it looked like it had broken off from the to go box, but the fact that this happened twice in a row was enough for me. I shouldn't have to sift my food for plastic. i really want to like this place, but the food kinda sucks and staff seems negligent with packing orders. would not recommend, there are plenty of other amazing thai spots in the city. read more

Awesome small little spot. Just walking around the area and happened upon here and so glad we did. Inside there's 2 or 3 small tables, so not much seating, they do mostly take out it seems. Very kind and nice people to deal with though. My girlfriend got curry of some sort, it was really good and I'm not an huge curry fan. I had the Thai fried rice with chicken and it was wonderful. Had a girls night and we order Basil Fried Rice, Pad Thai Noodle ( chicken), Pad Thai Noodle( veggies), Spring rolls and Summer Rolls. The came in a timely manner, about 40 minutes which is not bad for a delivery to the Bronx. Food was great, it was our first time eating Thai food and we were not disappointed. Basil rice had a bit of a kick. The noddles were great. Spring rolls were delicious. We didn't rave over the Summer rolls ( wasn't much flavor, just tasted like lettuce) which is not our favorite. I generally don't like to leave negative reviews but reading the two recent below was enough for me to give my cents. I hate confrontation but I had to speak up. I really used to like this place, I've visited a couple times and the pad Thai was delicious. However next time I came wasn't so great. I mentioned I cannot have onion or garlic and any other Thai restaurant I've been to has been super accommodating. I began eating my food like normal and felt sick, I didn't know why, but considering I'm super intolerant to garlic I could taste it but thought I was having a sort of hypochondriac moment. No-- I dug through my food and found a piece of garlic. When I called the restaurant, they tried to say they asked the chef who said there was no garlic in the food. I told them I have it in my hand and I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'm looking right at it. So they ask if I want a replacement. No-- once a restaurant messes up my food and especially tries to say I'm wrong, I don't want anything else, plus I felt sick after eating it. I took the piece of garlic, went back to the restaurant and showed it to them, and they seemed a bit embarrassed but didn't really apologize for the mishap or make me feel any better about it. America is the only country I really know that is so nonchalant about allergies, it's crazy to me. After seeing someone get food poisoning from here and some else see a roach in their food, on top of my own experience, I'm done. Please do better. read more

I recently ordered some crab fried rice and some other food to go with it off seamless... when I received my order, there was no crab meat at all in my order. Not even a little bit. And when I called to inform them of this the lady quickly cut me off telling me that it was in the egg. But in this order of crab fried rice there was hardly any egg in it either . And no crab meat. Just carrots, a lot rice and a few cucumbers. The lady even told me no refund. I wasn't even asking for this. I just wanted what I ordered which came out to be $30. A tiny little Thai restaurant in Hamilton Heights - - and a great addition to the neighborhood. Maximum four people maybe could eat here at one time and the delivery service is not quite up to snuff, yet so what you want to do is get there early for a table or take it home. All that said, the food is absolutely fantastic and probably as close to homemade Thai food as you're going to get in this part of New York City. We ordered takeout from here for the first time last night after coming back from a long flight. It definitely hit the spot and the food was delivered promptly. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have a beef pad see ew option, but the chicken was still cooked well. Fried chicken wings and crab rangoons were bomb. I felt like the crab fried rice was a bit under seasoned..even a kick of black pepper would've helped. The mango sticky rice was a bit firm, but the flavors were on point and the mango was deliciously sweet/ripe. Would order again to try their curry options. read more

Second time ordering from Sita and it did not disappoint!!! I ordered the curry puffs (again) and they were delicious, and then I ordered the red curry, and it was fabulous- it's a big portion and so nice and warm, perfect for a cold night meal. I also ordered the Thai style fried rice and it was a refreshing taste, not oily, but served with fresh cucumber and lime, and the cooked onions were cut in big chunks and still crispy, just how I like it. So glad this came to our neighborhood. Take out and delivery always comes hot and fresh. My husband and I debate over whether we should just pick up the fried chive pancakes for a weekly snack because they are SO good.
