Tried this place for the first time for dinner- it was phenomenal. Service is so fast- take a sip of water past the half full line and someone is there to fill it back up. Sigh and say you're just too full? They come over immediately with boxes. Service was phenomenal. Everything we had was good- although the medium korma was a bit too spicy for my partner who can handle some spice. Mango lassi was a great start, mango kulfi the perfect end. The appetizer sampler had spinach pakora, fried cauliflower, potato samosa and fried potato as well as the crispy cracker with mint chutney. So yummy. The lamb in the korma was tender and the biryani with raita was so flavorful. We will be back again!!

I am always looking for a good Indian restaurant. The pale yellow building with a glass entry way has an unassuming posture in the neighborhood. The parking lot accommodates the amount of customers it has for rush hour. The parking spots are nice and wide for big trucks which is a plus for me. Sitar offers a buffet 7 days a week which is advertised. The menu for the Buffett basically stays the same except they do rotate the vegetable dishes and on Saturday they offer a goat dish. The buffet is located on the left side as you enter. The appearance of the set up is dated, but you can tell the heaters are working to keep everything at proper temp. I personally would suggest more shallow pans and maybe the quarter size instead of half size pans to make the food look not dry out and make it look more attractive. That being said the food is still tasty and I only judge that by the amount of people eating from it. I also ordered some food from the menu that was represented on the buffet. The menu as you can see has a lot of variety. It took me a while to decide.I was served first my yellow Dahl lentil soup that was brothy and not thick which I enjoyed. It came with the house specialty which I chose and was the right amount given. Then came the appetizer I ordered which was a crunchy Pakora that was served with a tangy tamarind sauce ( my favorite). Followed closely by chicken Tandori blistered perfectly with a wonderful red hue. It was a little dry, but tasty non the less. I enjoyed the vegetable korma in the medium creamy read sauce. The lamb Josh was tender and served with the same sauce as the korma. I chose medium heat which was pleasant, but I should have chosen hot. The naan was late git And I could have eaten that all day. I did order Piswari Naan to go and it was stuffed with coconut, raisins and cashews. It was my first time eating this type of naan and it didn't disappoint. I had a sweetness but not over the top like a dessert. Finally the big impression is the gaggle of waiters ready to help you with just eye contact and a nod waiting in the front of a very clean and organized dinning room with friendly colors. The bathroom was very clean also, important to me. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely come in for a meal.

Wait we was a little bit long. The atmosphere at ambience was also pretty nice in here. I'd like to see some little bit more arms service was a little bit slow, but he gotta do it. There is pretty much happening

We came here as a large group (20+ people) on Wednesday for lunch buffet. Parking was fairly easy. The ambience is fine. All the serving staffs are nice and quick in terms of collecting plates right after people are done with one round of food. The food there was not bad, but flavor and food options could be better. There's only one meat option which is the chicken. Been to many Indian buffet restaurants and usually would expect lamb or prawn. But I guess because of the inflation, it makes sense considering the price. Was just a little disappointed my favorite dessert kheer and my favorite drink mango lassi are not there, which I saw from other people's post. And they could have more paneer dishes such as palak paneer or kadhai paneer for my vegetarian friends and us. The naan was a little bit soggy, could have been much crispier.

    Food!!

The Vegetarian Sambbussa got a very different flavor comparing to samosa, and we all loved it! We got one vegetarian platter and one meat platter with lamb. I was very impressed by the split peas (Kik Alicha) and my friend really enjoyed the lentils (Misir Wot and Misir Alicha). After I started digging more into the meat ones, I realized how impressive it is for their chicken (Doro Tibs). I haven't had such great chicken for too long. The lamb and beef are also cooked to perfection with perfectly balanced taste and tenderness. The Ethiopian bread (injera) that comes with or under the entree was so special. I initially took some time to adjust to the taste but towards the end I got obsessed with it and couldn't stop eating. After we saw the date cake on their menu, we decided it's a must-order. Although we had to share, it is soooo good. I do wish they add a little bit more dates in there though. Overall, great experience, good service, awesome ambience and amazing food. If you have never tried Ethiopian food before, you must stop by Gosh.

I got the mini combination and was overall underwhelmed. The flavors were not as intense and did not seem to mesh well. It seemed underseasoned. My…read morehusband and I shared the Rom's Fast Fix-A-Quick Delicious Small Bite with marinated beef, and it was fantastic. The beef was juicy and tender, practically melting in your mouth with every bite. The seasoning was spot on--flavorful without overpowering the natural richness of the meat. It paired perfectly with the rice, which was light and fluffy, creating a great balance of textures and flavors. The only thing that could have elevated the dish even more would be a little extra sauce to mix into the rice. That would have brought the whole dish together, but even without it, the flavor was still on point. Overall, it's a great spot for a delicious HALAL option, and I'll definitely be back to try more next time we drive through Knoxville. Food- 5/5 Service- 5/5 Ambiance- 5/5

There was only one guy working at the stall when we ordered our food so it understandably took a little longer to get our food but it was totally worth it. We ordered Rom's Bowl - which is chicken, beef, and veggies over rice. Then the bread is baked over the bowl essentially creating an edible lid. It was served with a side salad with a lovely salad dressing. I think it had sumac in it but don't quote me on that!Although this was my first time eating Afghan food, the food felt familiar to me. The rice dish was similar to biryani (but not spicy) and the bread was a cross between a pita and naan. I can't wait to go back!

Not only was the restaurant service great but the Owner / Chef AVI came to our table where 6 of us were seated for Dinner and spent time talking to us. When I told him we would love family style and some Vegeterian choices since 3 of our group were vegetarians so we will let you decide what to serve. First came the Vegeterian food - all very good but the Tomato Salad , Falafel and Shakshuka were outstanding which is an understatement. We are not big eaters but AVI insisted we try his selections and HE WAS PERSONALLY COOKING FOR US ! The next was Chicken Kebob platter really unbelievably tasty and we told them to stop since we were full but Avi's hospitality knew no bounds. The Fish ( Cod) melted in your mouth as did the LAMB CHOPS - I love eating out but have not experienced Mediterrean cuisine that good. Go try this place and you will truly enjoy the food. Thank you AVI ZENATTI

When we made a reservation on the website there was no mention of a pre fixe menu. Not on the website, and not with the reservation. We went intending to get light appetizers, but when we arrived we were told that the only option was a 55 dollar per person menu. While we were annoyed by the bait and switch we decided to stay because there was no chance of getting a table anywhere else. I'll start by saying that I Know that Valentine's Day is historically very busy, but over half the tables in the restaurant were empty, and I've been in significantly busier environments where I still received a high level of service. In this instance, saying that we were dismissed by the staff was an understatement. My wife was sat while I was parking, and when I joined her I wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. We asked one question the server who was dropping off the food snapped at us and acted extremely irritated that we even addressed her while she dropped the food off. We asked for tea because we knew that was one of their specialties. The response that was snapped back was "no tea tonight, if you want drinks go pay at the bar, it's separate." The table beside us seemed to clearly be VIPs as the were in fact served several pots of tea. All in all the staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience and they didn't want us to be in the restaurant. The exception was a very nice server wearing a light colored dress, she was very kind, which only made everyone else's disdain all the more evident by contrast. The food itself was just ok. Course 1: salads, it had fruit and fresh vegetables. It was excellent. Course 2: zucchini and eggplant with beef. It was well cooked but the sauce was extremely bland. Course 3: chicken stuffed with liver. This was gross, not even edible. Course 4: leg of lamb with rice. Once again the meat was well prepared, but it here was almost no seasoning. The rice that came with it was undercooked and kinda tough. Course 5: It was listed as braised beef brisket, but it was just an unseasoned pot roast. I expected Mediterranean food to be presented with a significantly more interesting range of flavor profiles. Course 6: Baklava, really great! The layers were crisp and the flavor was smooth. All that to say, it wasn't anywhere near worth the cost, I went for a light dinner and only had the option of buying a heavy 6 course menu. Other tables were given service and we were treated as an annoyance. The location was very convenient, so they have that going for them... which is nice.
