There are also some look out posts for keen bird watchers. It used to be an old mining area so the tracks go through the reserve. Lovely area to walk around and absorb the beautiful scenery.

I loved the trail rides the most - just watch out for the horse flies! -They had an amazing summer camp program where kids stay over at the stables and learn everything about the horses - mucking out stalls, feeding/grooming/care, riding ... it looked really amazing, but there was a very long wait list, and I was only there for a few months. The one and only eh - but a very fond one: These ponies have a mind of their own and will cut into the corners of the ring during the lessons/exercises. I remember getting scolded by the instructor for letting my horse slack off. They really are stubborn and smart! I'm still very much in love with my favorite Fjord - Rocco. You're probably in pony heaven now, but I miss you buddy!

The very best place for having lunch is the Hüttn at the top of the Gondola lift. So go there and enjoy but don't tell everybody ;-).

S4 has certainly the best location in Fieberbrunn village, located right in the middle of the…read morepedestrian/skier traffic between the gondolas. The shop is well stocked with top brands and all the usual small and -- befitting the location -- last-minute items (hand warmers, socks, gloves, lip-protection, goggles, etc.) you might need for a day on the slopes. All the fast-moving articles are located conveniently next to sliding glass entrance doors. The only thing missing for this skier would be a selection of Swiss chocolate. The S4 also has a full rental/ repair shop and ski-school. I haven't had the occasion yet, perhaps on a future visit.

I visited once when I was young to go ice skating, which, although exciting at the time, was rather…read moreuneventful. The skates for rent were hockey skates only. After asking for normal skates, they told me they had none. The ice rink was good, the ice was steady. The second time I went was today, for bowling. IT. WAS. AWFUL. Firstly, it was impossible to locate the bowling alley, and after 10 minutes of searching, we were lead up a stairway if a restaurant into a small dirty room. Calling the alleys 'bowling alleys' is an overstatement. The alleys were just wooden strips with rubber in the middle, and the pins were held up on strings. The scoreboard did not work, making us write the scores on a chalkboard with an inch-sized cube of chalk. We later went to the italian restaurant inside the centre, which was good, but the wait was long. Overall- don't bother going bowling there.
