Super good! We also got lots of cocktails and beers. The fries were chill and the nachos were chill, nothing to write home about. The cheese was good but not very melty and hard to disperse. We also got pretzels which were my favorite, such good fluffy bread!

Moseyed in on Wednesday night and there was live music and comedy open mic outside. Fish and chips were delectable as well as a raspberry lambic brew that hit the spot!

Came here for the craft beer. Was pleasantly surprised by the food -- it's pretty standard pub fair with some flare. The Tuesday fried chicken special was quite excellent. The beer is great -- definitely recommend the Chili Pepper Ale if you like spicy beers. Other bonus features: heated and covered patio that's dog friendly, lovely views, decent WiFi if you need to pop open a laptop.

I would like to start this by saying- the beer is the only good thing about this place. I showed up with a few ladies after work and sat at the bar to enjoy a beer and split some nachos.. the bartender was immediately VERY unpleasant, it was busy so I understood at first. But she continued to be rude and dismissive toward us..we waited a while to order but noticed she was helping people who came to the "ordering area" before us (even though we had been sitting at the bar 15 minutes.) So I went and stood in line- she then was also rude and told me that I needed to sit back at the bar and we could order from there, okay. Ultimately another server took our order, she was kinda nice, until she and the rude bartender started talking poorly about us in front of us.. the entire experience was extremely uncomfortable. It took about 40 minutes to get some nachos, they were not very good. They had almost no cheese and a weird layer of grease (the food isn't really the point of this post, as we didn't order anything besides the nachos.) As someone who has been a server/bartender/manager for 11+ years I was absolutely taken back by the staffs behavior. If I were the owner I would definitely consider taking a serious look at the people you have working front of house. Their behavior was entirely uncalled for and honestly was disgusting. We will never return and I will be sure to let people know not to come either. Very disappointed.

The brewery restaurant that has an open view of the great Pacific Ocean over the busy Central Avenue in horseback riding town of McKinleyville just north of Arcata sits on top of the expansive knoll. There are multiple TVs and pool table in the back and the background music is ok. However their beer is flat and bitter. We tried both Lady's Hazy IPA and Pale Ale on tap. Pizza with extra cheese was way too salty. The thin crust was ok. Due to the fact that the two different toppings pizza was so unreasonably salty and beer flat and bitter, I am giving solid three stars. The service was ok.

We loved this brewery! In fact, we liked it so much, we went two days in a row during our stay in McKinleyville. The beers here are excellent. I especially liked the Redwood Rye Bourbon Barrel Grand Cru and Macadamia Nut Porter. We made sure we got some to take home. You can get any beer on tap to go in a crowler can or growler. The food was also excellent. The pizzas are especially good. We LOVED the sweet heat pizza. The jalapeno poppers were also good, with the same sweet heat habanero jelly as the pizza. Salad and burger was also good. We did not have problems with the service because we went on weekdays, but I can see how the line can get long quickly when it's busy. It would definitely deter me from ordering more when I see that it's a long wait. It would be nice if you can order from the table if you're eating in. We will definitely come back every time we're in town!

Can't speak for the beer but the food is not amazing and overpriced considering the quality.

I don't recommend the French dip, the meat tasted old. The last few times having their food has not been anything to rave about!

Love this place. I used to go every Friday and meet my son for beer and nachos. Highlight of the week. You must try the Sasquach IPA.

Under normal circumstances I would have just walked out when I saw/heard the place, but we were at the end of our rope in finding a place to eat and we were very hungry. When my wife asked about a quiet place, the greeter kindly offered a place behind the activity and asked if that would be ok...then offered to turn off the music to the section that we were seated in. The waiter was professional and helpful. The fish and chips, and tacos were excellent, and I got to try a beer flight, so I'll know which of their beers to buy where I live. Usually my wife and I differ on the size of the tip, and she started to try to talk me into a lower tip, but stopped herself and said that the greeter was so helpful, and the service so good that she agreed that a larger tip was warranted. ...I almost decided not to come here at all because I was irritated by learning about the 3% fee they add to your bill...but I'm really glad that I wasn't so close-minded.

This is an exception Pepe was the best waiter that we've had anywhere in the longest time. Excellent suggestions excellent service and really listened. We wanted to add something extra to our item that we ordered regardless of how much extra it cost and we express that we wanted a lot of it. Not only did he pass that on to the kitchen absolutely accurately they performed what he asked for. He was the first line of connection and communication so I give him credit for sure and special things to the kitchen for performing the exact. I know that sounds strange but it was kind of a big deal and it was really a big deal that it came out perfectl

We arrived at 5:45 and our food order arrived at about 7pm. There was no warning our food order would be late until at least 20 minutes after we ordered. Then we were told the kitchen was a little behind, and about every 10 minutes after that we were told our food would arrive soon. When the food arrived my mash potatoes were cold at the center. When the waitress checked back with about whether we liked our food I told her it was good but my potatoes were cold. Of course the waitress apologized. The restaurant reduced the cost of my entree by 20%. Although the kitchen got behind I believe this was actually a failure of management. If the kitchen was understaffed they knew it and should have reduced the number of tables being served, or spaced out seating more customers until the kitchen caught up. I also noticed that as tables turned over newly seated customers were warned the kitchen was behind, but never told how far behind. I hope Gallagher's improves.

We were not disappointed. Jordan was our server and he took very good care of us. He was friendly and attentive. We all got the Captain's Platter. The servings were generous with enormous scallops and shrimp and beautiful big fish fillets. None of us could eat the whole meal so we took it home and air fried the next day. We considered this a good value because we actually got six meals for the price of three. We were served quickly and enjoyed the oldies played in the background.
