    Everyone has probably heard of Enterprise one way or another…read more This is an international company that rents cars and vans to corporate and retail customers. What makes this company unique in the rental car market is that rather then having to go to their office to pick up a car they will come and pick you up from any location you are in. Handy or what? As you may know driving and I don't really go hand in hand so I can only tell you about the experience my girlfriend's Uncle had. He rented a Mercedes from this company for about £50-ish a day to use at his sister's wedding (this is where I come in). He arrived at the Church driving the wagon himself and had made it look all fancy with ribbons and stuff and chauffeured her and the groom to the reception. The car cost far less than hiring a chauffer driven one from these wedding fairs and did just the job. If anything, it was a lovely touch and quite funny to see, so it was well worth it. He said the service was excellent and he'd use it again in a flash, though how often you need to rent a Mercedes is unbeknown to me. But if you ever need a car or van for a day or two give this company a ring and you'll not go far wrong.

Easy to find, easy to park, car is full of fuel already for you to use, very simple. Would use again.

When you book ahead, Sixt usually offer deals competitors simply can not match, especially for the 25-30 age bracket. If you have any doubts in terms of what you need to bring or show (like the lady below), a simple phone call ahead of time will see this situation avoided. If things are not as expected, you can obviously amicably part company without any fallout, but that generally doesn't happen. From the first time I used this branch, they have and continue to operate a fair, pragmatic and efficient service, something which I value. For example, when I first booked, I was missing some things that were probably going to hold up the process upon arrival. When I explained this over the phone, the guys were more than accommodating and we ironed everything out. So upon arrival, I literally walked in and within minutes was driving up the road in my rental. If you have any concerns in terms of documentation, or absolutely whatever else, just phone the number and speak with an agent, its really that simple, and EXACTLY what I did. As a result of this, I rent from Sixt at least once, if not twice, a month when I am home for the weekend, and have no reason to switch. In terms of making everyones life easier; When landing, if you are only carrying hand luggage, its usually best to ring when you land or leave the plane so that the free pick up service is prompt. Otherwise wait for your bag. Essentially the pros are; If you are efficient and pragmatic in the planning stages this is a complete gift. Its cheap and cheerful and thus exceptional value Customer retention; the more familiar you become with the company let alone the branch, there's perks. Cons; Its not at the Airport. However, providing you plan appropriately, the length of time it takes for you to get to Sixt, get your keys and roll out onto the highway, is less than that of one of the desks at the Airport as there is a lot of due diligence at the desk itself in terms of documents etc and then some of the cars are about a 5-10 minute walk from the terminal anyway. The only waiting about you'll do is with the shuttle, because as you're signing documents, someone else from Sixt is pulling your car up for you. The flip-side of this is, going through a massive parking lot to find it yourself and then getting out of the Airport, all of which takes time and if the weather isn't so pleasant (which is often the case), then this will not be enjoyable. So, all in all, 5/5 use them regularly and continue to do so.

Ok I know a bit but not enough to have a licence. However my auntie and uncle have travelled from Canada and provided me with a lift back to Enniskillen so in that respect I can tell you a bit. Avis is located just up from the bus station as well as at both Airports and at the ferry port so upon entering Belfast (unless you parachute) you're probably going to find one. The renting is cheap (according to my knowledgable auntie) so in that respect it is good. They had no problems with the staff or the car so all in all it was fine. I'm not quite sure how you can have a 5 star rental place but Avis is good if you need a car

I…read morepre-paid for a rental in Belfast and had the car about 15 minutes before I clipped another car's mirror. I was told I needed to not only return the car immediately, but that Avis would be unable to issue me another car. The car I was driving had no damage, other than a scrape to the side mirror. On top of that, Avis wouldn't refund me the day's rental fee I already paid. Ultimately, I paid about $150 to drive a rental car for 15 minutes. The agent on the phone recommended I return the car to the airport (instead of the location around the corner from my hotel) since there were other agencies nearby and they might be able to rent me a car. All of the other agencies were out of cars, so I needed to spend an additional 10 euro on top of that to take a taxi back to my hotel. AND to add insult to injury, calling Avis to let them know I had been in an accident was roaming on my phone so the 30 minutes on the phone cost me another $10 on top of that. This was an awful experience and not only will I not rent from Avis again, I'll be recommending to my work that we no longer use Avis as our provider of choice moving forward. The littlest bit of courtesy would have helped here, but there was zero understanding or compassion on Avis' end. The day was saved by two strangers who let me drive up with them, and I've told everyone I've met how wonderful they were.... and how awful my experience renting from Avis was.

    : Truly awful service for disabled customers - avoid if you can…read more If you are disabled and rely on Motability, avoid Europa Car Belfast at all costs. Unfortunately, they have the contract with Motability for hire cars if your vehicle breaks down - but that "service" is virtually non-existent. They rarely answer the phone, and when they finally do, they lie. I was told a car would be ready for me in 2 days. That never happened. A week later, I still have no car, no update, and no way of knowing when (or if) I'll get one. I am disabled and live in a remote area with no access to shops or medical appointments without a vehicle. This delay has left me completely stranded and put my health at risk. The lack of care or urgency for a disabled customer's needs is absolutely shocking. Europa Car Belfast have shown themselves to be unreliable, dishonest, and completely unsympathetic to the needs of vulnerable people. If you have any other option, take it - because you cannot count on them

This chip was smaller than a 2 Euro and even 1 Euro. Which when picking up the lady told me not worry about it as it's smaller than a 2 Euro they will not charge for and it's so small. Pretty much I agreed it was very small. HOWEVER!!! when I went to turn in the car this is when the fun started. The guy receiving the car literally came out with a bottle of water and wash cloth. He squatted down an proceeded to polish the entire outside of the car from bumper to bumper. He found the minor chip and started asking me if I was in an accident. Please look at picture attached. You will see this in no way can be even considered an accident. Picture says it all. I told him no and he was saying I was definitely in an accident. I show him how its smaller than the 1 Euro in pocket and he is still telling me its major damage and he has to fill out an accident report. This guy is so off base it's not funny. He kept telling me not to worry about as my Amex will pay for all the damage. I'm not ok with one company just charging off damage to another large company just to bail them out of a financial crisis. I would avoid Europcar at all cost. It's clear they are taking their losses out on you the customer. They charged me $1500 for that. Crazy high amount for that minor little ding. To Europcar. I've tried for 3 weeks now reaching out via phone and email to help resolve this as I do not like just leaving negative reviews. I would have preferred you have reached me back so I could see if something could have been resolved and I could have upped my stars. However, it's apparent you're just in the business of taking money and not caring.

    I rented a car from Europcar UK in Belfast for one week. The car was fine, like any other hire car…read more The trouble started when I was wrongly charged for £4.94 for 4L of fuel that the tank was apparently short when returned. Despite me filling the tank before leaving for the airport (I have proof of this action in my bank statements) and also checking the gauge when I dropped it off. I was not informed of any issue with the car after my hire period by Europcar, they took the money from my credit card without asking or informing me of the reason. I only discovered the problem a month later when my credit card statement came. Meaning all receipts/evidence could not be found. Luckily I paid by bank card, and I have evidence of me filling the car up on my statement. It took me over a week to get any sense out of their customer care team, with one person completely getting all the figures wrong. I was informed there was a mistake made in Belfast, but not given any apology and they tried to claim I had already been refunded the extra money. After many emails and phone calls, I finally got the money refunded, without a proper explanation for what had gone wrong, but I did get an apology for the inconvenience. After basically demanding one. I have now just received a phone bill for over £10 for all the calls I had to make to their customer care line, as the person handling my case hadn't a clue what they were doing!!! I am disgusted that they have charged me so much just to sort out their own mess, and that they feel they can take money off people's credit cards without any prior notification, system of appeal and apology.
