I have been going to this location for years but last night it looked a bit different, some news menus on the wall that were different sizes, looked recently added. Makes me wonder if there is new management or owner. I ordered salmon and asked if the could cook it rare as I don't like it overcooked. He looked up at me like I just committed a crime and then said he would try. When I got my fish it looked extremely strange and smelled bad. I tasted just a tiny piece and couldn't stomach it. My wife smelled it and we both agreed to put it aside. That evening I was quite sick for several hours, needless to say I'll never go back to that place again. That was not a coincidence. read more

Walking into Sizzler is a blast from the past. From the way you're corralled into the restaurant and place your order to the placement of the salad bar and dessert machine, you're at ease and comforted by feeling like you never really left. Per usual, I was all about the salad bar. My husband ordered the six ounce steak with unlimited shrimp and sweet potato while our son had the steak kids meal with macaroni and cheese. The shrimp was pretty stellar though, it was light -- not heavy with oil, tasted great, cooked well, and came out hot. What really stood out was Leo, our server -- he was on top of it! It was lunch time on a Tuesday and he was the only server on the floor. He casually held conversations, greeted guests, wished others a great day, and kept the shrimp, drink refills, and bread coming without missing a beat. He had a way about him that was welcoming and warm. If he told me he knew everyone who walked in, I wouldn't question it. He was that great. The busser was great, too. Again, there was only one. Our food didn't disappoint; it was just as we expected. In a world where everything changes to quickly, it's nice to depend on Sizzler as one of those places you go when you're missing how things used to be. I also appreciate the newer/rotating items to jazz things up, but the foundation of the restaurant is food you can count on to be the same as it was. For instance, the chocolate pudding takes me back to kindergarten... popping open my aluminum can of Del Monte pudding during lunch. I never miss a chance to have a sample and retell the story to my kiddos. That story and the one where I thought I was big enough for adult moves then totally dropped the tray with the drinks all over the ground at the Sizzler in Oxnard, CA. read more

I've come here MANY times when I'm in the mood for a steak and baked potato so I don't have to cook! Tonight the service was EXCEPTIONAL! The kitchen was very busy, so my server, Tim, made sure I was taken care of! The manager also came by and offered to help in any way! In the past two years this is probably the best service I've had any place, including 333 and Kettner Exchange, which are both way more expensive! 4.5 (.5 deduction for manager/supervisor) Sizzlers is very nostalgic for my brothers and sister and I as we grew up with it being an after-church lunch kinda thing. But as we grew older, locations started closing down so we stopped. Fast-forward 28 yrs later...Celebrating the dad's 80thteen bday in Temecula for the weekend and we find out...THEY HAVE SIZZLERS!!!! And nothing, as far as the concept, has changed. You get in line, looking at the humongous menu on the wall, you go to the register, order your food and drinks, and find a place to sit ON YOUR OWN and they bring the food to your table. Because we had 23 of us, brothers, sisters, kids, grandkids, AND great grandkids :) we got there 20 minutes before opening. We know how the place works. Lol. Then ya gotta go to their wonderful salad bar that consists of the normal salad stuff PLUS 4 types of soup (go for the clam chowder and don't forget the crackers) , and pasta (son loves the spaghetti). We were ALL happy until...the food started coming out and there was just one wrong dish (no biggie) but oh boy, manager did NOT like that one bit and comes out to try and prove it but fails..tries to say HE took our order but unless HE was wearing a wig, I swear a lady took our order. AnyWHOO I get it but dang don't get all upset. If it wasn't for the saving grace of the delicious steak, lobster, Malibu chicken, potato, etc AND our waiter (he was soooo funny and pleasant) we would NOT have given the TIP we did for the BIG BILL we paid (btw, the prices are higher from 30 yrs ago lol) I wish we had a SIZZLERS by us AND their waiter. read more

Oh my gosh. Our server Hugo is the best of the best. Extremely attentive, has our refills before we ever have to ask. Makes sure our steaks are done to our liking before he leaves the side of our table. Such a kind soul. We ask where he is serving every time we come in just so we can sit in his section. Saturday, January 28th, 2023 2:20pm I came with a party of 4 and ordered 2 Classic Trios and 2 New York Strips. The classic trio was the Sirloin, Malibu Chicken & 4 Crispy Shrimp. Food taste great, just like when I first started coming to Sizzler in the 80s. This review is for the most awesome server that made our experience excellent. We had a older Hispanic man, I wish I asked for his name. He was on point with our order and made frequent trips for us. My dad forgot to order a coffee with our initial order, and he brought a coffee for my dad I definitely will be coming back to this location because of the great and welcoming customer service. It's been years since my last visit to sizzler. It's not from lack of trying though. It's the fact that a ton of their locations are now permanently closed.Out of the boatload of times I visited sizzler I've only ordered the Malibu chicken with the dipping sauce. Which was just as fire as I remember it. This time around I ordered a bunch more different items as well, including the salad bar. All of the food was good. The staff were all friendly. The waiter was attentive and the restaurant in general seemed to be immaculately clean and sanitary. It was a very enjoyable dining experience with zero complaints. FYI at sizzler you pay BEFORE you dine & receive complementary mints at the end. read more

Five stars because it's everything you want a Sizzler restaurant to be. We chose the buffet/salad bar. Which was very clean and continuously stocked. They offered Every salad vegetable choice you could want plus other prepared salads, like broccoli and seafood and macaroni, etc. Food options on the bar were spaghetti, tacos & fixings, potatoes wedges, taquitos, chicken wings and soups. Cokes were fresh, crisp & bubbly. And the garlic cheese toast is fab. It has a trendy point-of-sale counter and the overall restaurant seemed very clean. It is spacious with lots of seating options. We took our son to dinner for his birthday and because he was student of the month. The boys got steaks. I got the ribs. Everything was cooked perfectly Our server Hugo was so attentive, funny, and helpful. We love a good old-fashioned walk up and order joint. We had the all you can eat salad bar. There were so many choices and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Along with salad fixings they had a nacho bar, soup bar, chicken bites, dessert bar, and ice cream bar. The salad bar is fully attended and kept clean and stocked. Our server, Tim, was delightful. He had a great attitude and promptly got our drinks and scrumptious cheese toast to the table. He checked in as soon as a glass was emptied or empty plates set at the end of the table for pick up. The dining room was nice. It was bright with colorful flower arrangements set all through the restaurant. It wasn't too loud either, which we appreciate because we could hear our conversations without having to raise the volume of our voices. read more
