It is right in the Rosemount area so it's pretty convenient if heading into city centre. We stopped in for a cheeky chipper lunch before doing a bit of shopping/wandering around town. The place is immaculately clean, almost sterile seeming with it's polished steel surfaces and digital menu. While not a cosy place to sit and enjoy your chips, (there's only a couple stools anyways) it's definitely better than some of the grimy chippers you find on late nights out.. The prices are right about standard, and I got the jumbo haddock dinner, it was about 8 pounds or so, and it was seriously jumbo. A lot of fish and a lot of chips, so it was a great deal for the amount. I probably shouldn't have eaten it all myself, but I couldn't resist. The fish and chips were piping hot, fresh out of the fryer, and even when we took our boxes away and walked to Union Terrace gardens before eating we still had a very hot lunch waiting for us. The breading on the haddock wasn't too greasy and had just the right amount of crispiness to it. The fries were firm and not as greasy as some chippies make em, but if they weren't greasy at all, you'd wonder what was up. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Aberdeen. Until then, I need to find a way to get fresh, hot, salty, vinegar-spritzed fish and chips in the US for a reasonable price...

Despite the late hour and the staff just wanting to just close up and go home, they happily took my order and cooked the fish fresh, about a 10 minute wait. My food came out hot and soo delicious (though I was in an extremely food deprived state so probably anything would have been delicious by this point). Ample portion size, food cooked fresh and the shop is clean, I know this because I spent the 10 minute wait time watching them clean up the shop. Highly recommended, would return again.

Its not a fancy restaurant but the decoration is nice and interesting. The one issue we always seem to have when going there is deciding on what we want to eat. There are just so many interesting options we want to try. Their cocktail menu is just as extensive. We've tried many of their drinks and enjoyed them very much. We find it nice that waiters there then to crop down when talking to us so we don't have to look up at them. Our waiter this weekend was very nice and patient with us. The steaks are good and we really love the Jack Daniel's sauce, the Nachos are also a good choice.. and you cant go wrong with a burger.. whatever your taste is you are likely to find something suitable. we haven't tried the desserts yet as we usually fill up on entree and mains.. but one od these days we'll get to it. overall.. pretty good. but maybe a little on the price side.

I was super excited to try out some quaint little afternoon tea places and was super happy when I got to decide where to go when my companions all realized they couldn't just pop into a Starbucks for a quick double-frappa-mocha-hold-the-whip-achino. Treehouse Coffee Shop hit all the right buttons for me... The servers were upbeat, happy and quick to help, the tea and coffee were excellent, they serve all day breakfast (at least they were when we went on a Sunday), and the prices are fair. A couple next to us had ordered afternoon tea which looked amazing but I couldn't convince any of my companions to partake so I had to settle for a cheese scone... Oh did I say settle? My scone was savory flaky deliciousness on a plate, served warm and then smothered in Irish salted butter... Served with a pot of English breakfast... Ca you say yum! Even my American friends were super delighted with their breakfast sandwiches, bagels and coffees... Will definitely be looking for an opportunity to head back here before we leave!

They do a wide range of sandwiches including the usual favourites such as tuna, ham ect as well as soup of the days which range from broth to pea and ham and things like that. The only thing that stops them from getting a 5 star rating is the customer service can leave a lot to be desired. There seems to be a new face at the front counter every week and none of them knows how to smile. If they could put some of the people who do the food up front then they would be unstoppable.

We were quick to get our food and got several shareable meals to split between 5 of us, and still had food to take home after! It's an upscale restaurant, but very welcoming.
