Right from the start my email was answered and I received a phone call from their receptionist to assist in scheduling an appointment with MIKE. The very next day I had a meeting to discuss the numerous trees, shrubs, branches, and limbs that I needed removed from my property. Not only did the communication go well, there were a number of terrific suggestions made, to clean up my landscape/property , that I hadn't even considered. What a fabulous experience!!!! I can't say enough about the timeliness of the appointment, the professionalism and superior CUSTOMER SERVICE. Luckily, for me, the quote given was within my budget ...including access to a monthly payment plan. I was told the work would be accomplished in the next few days and that I would receive a phone call to confirm. Excitedly, the company communicated and put our project up the for next day. There was a full team of men led by RABI who worked tirelessly and professionally to cut, trim, and execute the very styling I had requested. Very bad communication. Mike came out and gave a quote on Monday (first the desk person told me he…read morewould just be calling in Monday to set up a time to come out, what I got was a call from him on Monday saying he would be at my house in fifteen minutes, that lack of communication should have been enough of a red flag). He then pushed for me to schedule for the job to be done that Wednesday or Thursday. I told him I needed to talk to my wife as the job was going to cost $4,000. He told me that if i agree to it, he will put it in the schedule, but I can cancel it if needed, no worries. I agreed but asked for it to be scheduled the following week instead of this week. On Tuesday Night, I looked over our finances and other projects and decided we needed to push this project out. I reached out to Mike on Wednesday morning and told him I needed to cancel and would have to look at doing this in the spring or summer. He pushed to keep the job, when I told him I can't do it at this time, he wanted to know what the other projects were and then flipped out claiming the work was scheduled to be done that day (Wednesday, two days after the quote) I never agreed to have work done this week, he never reached out about scheduling for next week, like I had requested or even told me he planned to do the work this Wednesday. He just planned to show up without my knowledge or permission to be on my property and start cutting down trees. Avoid this company at all costs.

John came out that day and met me after work and come to find out the 60-80ft pine tree was split down the middle to about 5ft above the ground level. John provided a fair price and due to concerns of the tree being split said he would have it down the next morning which they did. They did an awesome job and left the site immaculate. I requested quotes from several local tree services in our area. Curran's quote came in the middle…read moreof the prices received. The gentleman who came buy to find out the scope of work, to base the quote on, was knowledgeable about trees preservation and pleasant to work with. We chose Curran based on the price and company expectation. We were told they would bring their Spider Lift to reach the limbs we wanted pruned. The staff laid plywood across the lawn so as to not leave tracks in the soft turf and blocks under the legs that stabilize the lift. The crew worked well together and the foreman made sure our expectations had been met as to the scope of the work. The clean up was pretty good. A couple of branches were missed in between our hedgerow but nothing crazy. We did a rake to sweep up small bits that were missed, but all in all I have no complaints. No damage was done to the yard or other plants which sadly I have experienced with other companies in the past. Curran made sure when a branch fell, it would be out of the way of the hedges, nearby trees and fences. It's been a couple of months and the trees are doing well and look great. I would gladly use Curran again. They were all pleasant to interact with and made sure we were happy before they left. We paid by check and received a receipt before they departed. Took a couple of hours for two very large trees on opposite sides of the property.

Frank the owner came over to the back of our yard to check out our 2 tall trees, he gave us a estimate right then and there, they troubleshot a few areas of concern that might had been a problem bringing in the bucket truck, but we asked our neighbor if it would be alright to enter through her driveway, neighbor was happy to help due to fact no more trees branches falling on her garage. 3 days laters by the time we got home both trees were down. It was a mistake to try Simply Local Wood. I should have read the reviews. On the plus side, they…read moredelivered quickly. On the down side, Simply Local Wood only delivered 3/4 cord - but I paid for a full cord of kiln-dried. 395 plus 59 delivery charge for a total of 454. I sent them the below pictures and asked them to come take a look. They said they would, but then said they would not, telling me that the wood they delivered was "sufficient." I asked for a partial refund and they declined. Essentially Simply Local Wood screwed me out of $100. Other issues (kinda nitpicky): log length is not uniform. Ranges in size from 7" to 17". Most fell within the 14-16" range, but there were wayyy more shorties than 17s! The shorties were doubled up where possible, and used to fill gaps. Wood was not screened, so there were two trash barrels of bark and dirt left over on my gravel driveway. Pics are below. It's easy enough to do the math. The length of the pile is 20', the width of the pile is 1.333 and the height on the right side of the pile is 4.8'. The big gap on the left where the wood is missing - that is how much Simply Local Wood screwed me.

I have a whole cord that was given to me as a birthday present and I could barely make it burn had to keep throwing in firer burners in it to keep in going did that for 2 days. I stopped, I found Simply LocalWood and bought 1/2 cord of wood. I couldn't believe it. I put in a little fat wood a little paper I put in wood I got, it literally started blazing in about 15 minutes and it never went out til it died a great death. All I had to do was take out the ashes. I will be a Simply Local Wood customer as long as I can burn wood. I will tell everyone I know about this company and how they season their wood, they bake it in ovens to take the sap out of the wood and that is why it catches fire so fast and doesn't stop til it's a pile of ashes. I've been burning wood for over 40 years, never heard of baking wood but it's the best way to go if you don't want keep fighting to try to keep your fire burning. Give Simply Local Wood a try you won't be sorry. Really you will feel great knowing that you won't have to worry about unseasoned wood not burning again. I am now a customer for life. Patricia Perry
