Nice atmosphere with a few different rooms for the cafe goers as well as a seating area upstairs (we didn't go there). Decent selection of goodies. We had sticky date pudding ('kladdkaka') and cheese cake. Both were nice. read more

The owner cares deeply for the quality of the food and the service provided. This is not your run of the mill restaurant, but a place to take a break from life (as denoted by the no computers sign) and enjoy a quiet lunch or coffee. The owner is a wonderful human who puts the emphasis on taking the time to prepare and deliver a great experience for his patrons. We had two different pastas which were made fresh by hand to order and both were delightful. If we make it back to Visby, this will be at the top of our list of places to visit.

It was Delicious!!! The baguette was spot on - it was huge but I had no problem finishing it. My son for the pasta with shrimp, pesto, dill and lemon. That was amazing too! All of the flavors were so well balanced. We enjoyed a slice of the chocolate cake w fresh cream after - it was an excellent start to our Gotland vacation. I HIGHLY recommend going. The inside is tiny but we enjoyed our meal outside under the umbrellas.

After some truly random walking adventures we happened upon Torgkrogen which ended up being a delightful stop. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/torgkrogen-visby?select=0UlghrqOsch2dkm_tkWdfw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP The menu was pretty comprehensive, featuring dishes running the gamet from Seafood delights to yummy looking noodle entrees. I actually settled upon a delicious Cheese & Ham Calzone. It's looked a LOT bigger than I could handle, but it was due to being very puffy, and ended up being quite manageable! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/torgkrogen-visby?select=uNPcGh69DSweiXEc8Y1ZWg&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w SPACE AND AMENITIES There was more than sufficient space for our large group of 16 plus, in part due to the fortuitous lines of dining room tables that let you merge one party with another as needs be. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/torgkrogen-visby?select=WUJRF0ryz9iErHYnk_Q03Q&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w After an hour or so, we were back on the road, ready to trek back to our buses. We finally managed to get a table for a late lunch and had an amazing meal. You order/pay at the counter inside, and someone will bring out your food when it's ready. I had a huge bowl of fish stew, which came with plenty of seafood and little gnocchi, as well as a delicious slice of bread. We also tried a lamb dish that was essentially cured meat, served with potatoes and a cream sauce. Both were simple, but sososo good and reasonably priced! As there is plenty of outdoor seating, this is a great place to enjoy a beer and watch the crowds go by.
