Roller Rink When was the last time you strapped on some roller skates and hit the wooden floor? If you are like me, it has literally been a few decades haha. Now that I have some kids, there is always the constant need to find ways for them to burn off energy that doesn't cost a small fortune - welcome to the Skate Factory. Located in Vero Beach, it is a bit of a ride for us, but worth the trip. This is an old-school skating rink complete with 80's music and disco ball! The floor is in excellent shape, and there are skates for rent for those in need. They have a lot of different themed days / /nights for all age groups - I have been there mostly weekend days because of the kids, but they have things such a free pizza night, adult night, Christian music night etc. - check their website for the rundown. Plenty of seating for those in your group who are there to watch, or don't feel like skating, and there is a small but functional food bar area that turns out some adequate snacks: Pizza, nachos, fries - the usual culprits. Food was very reasonably priced as well. For the beginners, there are "skate-mates" that you can rent which act sort of like a walker - gives the littles something to hold on to while they learn how to balance and move. We had no such thing when I was a kid and we ate a lot of pavement until we figured it out ha. Bring your own gear, or rent theirs- the rentals were all in good shape and got the job done. They have lockers available so you can store your more valuable items while you skate. Beyond the skating and food, there are some arcade games available and the restrooms were clean. This place was great! We were on vacation and my son, who is An amazing skater, has to hit every local rink we visit. He told me halfway through his session that this was the cleanest and nicest rink we've visited outside of his home rink in Charlotte (Kate's Skates). They do a great job at vacuuming the off rink areas and keeping the skate floor clean and shined. Price of entry was great and concessions were at a good price point as well. Spoke to the owner a bit and he clearly loves the sport/activity and it shows. Super knowledgeable and shared with us about all the rinks in Florida to visit for future trips. Was also the ONLY place we found that was open on a Monday, when most rinks are closed. Next time we are in Central Florida, will definitely stop by here again. Very impressed! read more

Great family fun! Saturday mornings are the best for beginners or younger kids. It was my Kids first time in wheels. We started with quads then switched to inline. They seemed to do better on inline. Ages 5 & 7. They just practiced walking on the carpet with them for a bit then went out to the rink. They had their share of falls but by the time we left they were cruising and loving it! I hadn't been on skates in 20 years and it brought back so many fun memories. Skate factory is clean and the young men/women coaches are super helpful if someone falls out on the rink. Hate to give this place one star, but I don't think it's right that my 1 year old twins each get charged an admission fee. They can neither skate or go in the bounce house. read more

The place is dirty, smelled like a really bad soiled locker room. The entire staff were extremely rude, but i guess they act like they see their owner/manager act. The owner/manager was extremely rude to a child that couldn't get their dollar in a soda machine. He was belittling the child for basically being "stupid" as he snatched the dollar from the kid's hand. Luckily a woman spoke up to the owner saying that it was uncalled for. I won't go back, and will never recommend anyone taking their child here. There are other skating rinks in the area. If you did go, stay by your child the whole time so they don't get verbally assaulted by a staff member. read more

It was my sisters 33rd birthday and an 80s themed adult skate. They told her she needed her ID then let the three people in front of me go in without ID and they looked like 17. The owner was rude people were stealing and sneaking in all night. My sister missed half the night because she had to go home to get her ID read more

We skated here once and enjoyed. Another time we stopped by but couldn't skate because it turned out to be senior skate (and we don't meet the age requirements). Staff members were really nice about it. It was worth the trip just to peek in and see the amazing scene. I'll be back for senior skate in a couple of decades. read more

My husband and I took our son and daughter ages 7 and 9 and they had a blast. The place was clean, the bathrooms were clean and smelled good. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and professional. They were very attentive to the kids and played lots of games with great music. The prices for Pizza, Chicken nuggets and Coke were reasonable. We really had nice time. I recommend this Skating Rink to anyone. Love this place!!! we will definitely be back. read more

We've been going here for several years. My 8 year old absolutely LOVES this place. He goes to camp when school is out in the summer and days off from school. The staff keeps the place as clean as can be, even though some people(all ages) make messes. Each night they clean all the carpets with a big machine. It's one of the only places in town to take kids, so sometimes is gets really busy and crowded. Some of the reviews were negative, but my experiences have been all positive. If you see something that bothers you go to Tim or Kevin, and they will take care of it for you. They try their best to keep things running smoothly, but every once in a while, they maybe unaware of something going wrong. I'm sure that we all that have businesses have a negative incident once in a while. We are very grateful to this place that it is open when school is out, and I hope they keep up what they are doing!!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS read more

Went to a birthday party Yesterday 19 March 2016 sitting at table server came and placed 2 pizzas in front of us. Not knowing took a few slices as I'm am just a guest thinking its part of the party. About 10 minutes later server came back stated that she accidentally delivered to wrong party. I told her we had already touched the pie and only option was to take it away and dump it or it's bad mistake and we get free pies oops. She leaves to talk to manager and comes back to tell us we have to pay !!! Well that was not gunna happen as we did nothing wrong and didn't know it was not part of party pack. So she preceded to take the 2 pies away, i watched her leave kept an eye on her she took them kitchen and waited I got up to made my way to counter as I watched another female employee grab the pies and mind you without gloves shove all those slices into the single slice sale display case to resell it. I'm no food expert or restaurant expert but I don't think that was very sanitary actually it was gross and as she finished she seem proud that she figured out what to do with those pies.
