Great place to go skating. The floor surface is INCREDIBLY smooth and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that whole place can feel a little cramped, depending on how many people are there. If multiple birthday parties are going it can be hard to maneuver around in the non-skating area or to find a place to sit down. There is barely room for two people to walk abreast from the door to the skate rental area because you have to navigate your way through the tightly-spaced snack bar tables. There is no good out-of-the way spot to help a beginner. But they do have PVC "Skate Mates" for rent that kids can use like rolling walkers to help get the feel for it. Even the floor feels a little small, but it makes up for it in quality. My daughter, a beginner, got scared that people were whizzing by her too closely and some even bumped into her. She prefers the much larger, but substantially less classy, Skate Zone in Winter Haven for that reason alone. For all other purposes, Skate World is superior. Go on a slow day, and your experience will be darn near perfect. Go when it's busy, and you'll have to tolerate being in close quarters with a bunch of other people wisely looking for the same perfect experience there. read more

The experience is good but come on the right day because the employees suck,they watch you fall don't even ask if your ok and just moves on, it's cheap tho, they don't enforce the rules good, and here's the cherry on top, there was a employee that was taking away skating buddies or trainers away from kids that kept on falling and was just yapping away to a skater who doesn't need help!! read more

We've been many times, but I tried to go yesterday with my family and couldn't get in. They updated their policy recently where they want to collect a bunch of personal information like date of birth, phone number, address, etc before even getting in. It felt very invasive and I questioned how good their security is and how safe my data would be. Their platform was also glitchy and didn't work right. We ended up just changing our minds and left without skating. I won't be back until they reverse this new policy change. Too bad. read more

HORRIBLE service the employees are rude, they are horrible at updating their website for when they are closed for the day and the New rule where there are no drop off two girls came in who drove and I watched them get thrown out, and me I am 18 bringing my 17 year old niece here and we can't get in because I'm not her guardian? Or artistic daughter LOVES Lilo and stitch. Skate world advertised that on July 4th 2025 there would be a stitch meet and greet from 7 to 10pm. We show up up at 8pm and skate world is closed. I took my 3 kids to the Spiderman event tonight. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out we had a great experience. The staff was very helpful with everything. I had a sweet staff member offer to help me get skates on my kids and then she helped 2 of my kids get started skating while I went to get 2 more skate mates. Another staff member and the owner helped check on and comfort my daughter (and get her ice) when she fell one to many times until I could get over to her. At one point I couldn't find my 3 year old and several staff members helped me locate him quickly and I am beyond thankful for that. We will definitely be back soon but I will also make sure I have another adult with me next time I take all 3 kids lol. read more

Just left there from having my daughters 10th birthday party. We did the mega bash/private party. This was definitely a party to remember. My daughter had a great time absolutely blasting one of the employees who casually joined in, it was the greatest. the bizarre part was that he went by Dustin Scipio and would not answer if I just asked for Dustin. First it takes them forever to pay to get in. And they don't start to let you in until after 6. Then when you get in it takes forever to get your skates if they have any. Common sizes run out after ten minutes. We paid for a training triangle and they ran out and refused to give us a refund for it. They we're already telling people to take their skates off at 7:30. All in all the kids maybe got an hour of skating in and we left with them owing us about 25 dollars because most of the games were out of order with no signs I recommend going to auburndale there's a very nice skating rink out there and for the people that don't have transportation I'm sorry that y'all have to deal with that crap I wouldn't waste my money if my life depended on it going back there I would give it zero Stars if there was a choice read more

do not waist your time or money here it is dirty, the staff is rude and it is a complete rip off. If you want skating lessons this is not the place. I recently took one and the instructor didn't teach anyone anything literally I was ignored and left to skate around on my own which I can do at home for free. I have taken my daughter here a couple of times early on a Saturday morning and it was fine. Last week we decided to try out "family skate night!" That was a huge mistake. The group of individuals was rowdy and inappropriate. There were a handful of teens skating with a bunch of kids and they were pushing each other. My daughter actually got caught in a human pile up bc one of these little trash monsters decided to pull his friend down and cause a bunch of kids to land in a huge heap. The staff was apologetic but they are kids themselves and ill equipped to handle said situation. They even have cops on site which only makes me further dislike the place. Can be fun but be prepared its not a nice crowd. read more
