The food was excellent. I got the po boy shrimp taco. It was fresh and very tasty. My wife got the cob salad. There are enough interesting looking options that we will be eating there very shortly. The only downside is that the noise level is fairly high. read more

Street parking right out front. Came in on a Tuesday night for a business dinner and sat at the bar. Speed of service was very good until we had an issue. Started with the egg rolls. They were very good and solid sized portion. For the mains, we both ordered filets medium rare. When the steaks arrived both were medium. If it was a ribeye, I probably would have just eaten it but an overcooked filet is no bueno. So we sent back. The bartender/server returned with the steaks as the cook asked us to "cut in the middle." A perfectly cooked filet is cooked the same way throughout. But we obliged and yes, overcooked. This is where the problem arised. It probably took 20 minutes to get our new steaks. Can't help but to think this was done with purpose. But the second round of steaks were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I got the creamed corn for a side and it was flavorless. Do not recommend. I also ordered blackened shrimp with my steak. They were very good but lost some points as they were cold by the time my steak came back out. The steak issue was handled poorly. Place is quiet. May go back. read more

Honestly, it was our first time dining here and we were impressed. They able to accommodate our larger party (10) without a reservation, and made it seem like we were the only people there, even in a full restaurant - the service was that great! The food was also delicious! From the kids Mac and cheese to the liver mush croutons, everything was top notch. I highly recommend starting with the pork belly...that was delightful - cooked perfectly and the sauce on it was yum! Everyone at the table said their food was good and we would all come back again. What a hidden gem in the quaint town of Cramerton! Food was absolutely delish and service was great as well. I had the salmon over grits, a friend had a burger and another got the scallops. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It's upscale vibes without the ridiculously overpriced of paying for more of ambience than quality food. We got the sweet potato creme brûlée to share and let me tell you, that was the best thing ever! So velvety and creamy without being overly sugary. We checked out the newly opened Skillet Southern Bistro in Cramerton on a Friday night, and it's safe to say it's off to a strong start! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and enjoyed attentive service throughout the evening. The vibe was cozy yet lively and perfect for a relaxing end-of-week dinner. We kicked things off with cocktails, and both of mine were impressive. The cucumber basil martini was refreshingly crisp, and the blueberry lemonade martini packed the perfect balance of tart and sweet. For starters, we tried the coffee pork belly appetizer, and WOW! This was the star of the night. Rich, tender, and full of flavor, we'd come back for that dish alone. Dinner didn't disappoint either. The crab cake entrée was well-seasoned with minimal filler, and the shrimp and grits were creamy, comforting, and everything you'd want in a Southern staple. We had just come back from the beach and clearly weren't ready to let go of seafood season LOL. To end the meal, we ordered a strawberry balsamic dessert to go, which was tasty, but our server left us with a little food FOMO by showing us the banana pudding. Our couple friends joined us for dinner a few weeks ago and mentioned Skillet Southern Bistro. My husband and I had heard of it but hadn't been. We four met at Skillet for dinner and boy were we impressed! We sat at the bar and the bartender was skilled and friendly. He gave us kind and attentive service and made a delicious Cosmo. They have an appetizer of Livermush Croutons that our friend recommended. In previous experiences I have not enjoyed livermush in the slightest. Since our friend sang their praises, I tried them! I am so glad I did. They were mouthwateringly delicious. For dinner we ordered pasta and a filet, and the steak was the single best steak I have ever eaten in my life! I have lived in Texas and Kansas City, which are beef eating locations, but nothing there came close to Skillet's filet! The ambiance is a true bistro environment, bustling and a little loud, but it added to the fun we were having. Needless to say, we've been back already and will return often! read more

Met up with some friends at SSB tonight for dinner. Everything was SO delicious! Tried SSB for lunch today after several recommendations from friends and foodies. I ordered a blackened shrimp caesar salad and my son had a chicken sandwich and fries. Although a relatively new business, I was disappointed in the lack of attention to the decor on the inside. It felt cold and underwhelming. My shrimp was undercooked, but I did not really mind. The blackening was unique and awesome and the liver mush croutons added a unique soft crunch. My son raved about his sandwich, so I have to assume it was good as well. If the inside were more comfortable, I would've given it five stars . read more

Just moved to Cramerton, and this is for sure the best restaurant I've found thus far! Food was amazing 10/10. The service matched the energy and was great. The back patio was a great vibe and I can imagine I will like it even more when it is cooler outside. The inside was a little too loud for us, but i'm hopeful Skillet will work on this over time. We came for fried green tomatoes and coffee rubbed pork belly appetizers and they were delicious! Ribeye was good but honestly the risotto was even better than the steak. My husband and I stopped by this past week and the food was incredible. Service was amazing, to start. We decided on the fried green tomatoes and pork belly as the app. Regarding the pork belly...it was so good. To me, the fried collared greens stole the show on that, the flavor was absolutely delicious. Now...as for that burger. I got the Tilly's burger and Jesus CHRIST I am going to find a way to get another one as soon as possible. I'm a burger girl and the flavor of this burger is absolutely spectacular. I love when a chef isn't afraid to season a patty well. So many places rely on the rest of the burger to add the flavor but the meat patty ALONE was just awesome. Meat was medium so a nice pink center made the burger practically melt in my mouth. I took one bite and proceeded to moan after each consecutive bite after. I'm not exaggerating. This burger was that good. The bartender stopped by and laughed at how quiet my husband and I were, which is hilarious because looking back we literally stopped talking when our food came. Try as I might, I was full after half of my burger. Such a great experience. I will definitely be back. read more

We have been a fan of Casey since he was Skillet 3B food truck. Our favorite from the food truck was the shrimp and grits and any burger. Tonight my husband had the shrimp and grits with crab cake as his appetizer and I had the 6oz fillet with the red eye gravy and mashed potatoes. First off let me say the shrimp and grits were amazing as always, maybe even better than before! The crab cake was probably the best we have had since we have been to Baltimore. My fillet was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and with the red eye gravy (which, the steak came covered with pimento cheese and bacon) was absolutely amazing!!! The mashed potatoes were so rich and creamy, I could eat that by itself! The drinks were great and staff were even greater. The ambiance was great, laid back and comfortable but with high quality food! I couldn't ask for a better experience! Definitely worth the money and this will be one of our regular spots for sure!!!
