Probably the WORST massage I have EVER had. It was a chair massage which is what I wanted, the guy just focused on my neck and shoulders the ENTIRE time. Seemed irritated when I asked to please do middle and lower back which lasted a whole 3 minutes (I kid you NOT). When it was time to pay the total was $55 and I only tipped $5 due to the shitty massage (not my typical tip I usually do anywhere between $10-20 tip) and the guy had the audacity to ask "do you have more tip?!" The most detailed deep tissue I have had! Plus Jimmy gave me the option of having a combo of cups and deep tissue which I decided to do. It was just enough pressure and he asked me along the way if it was enough or too much. He intuitively knew where my tension in my back was. The second half of my massage I had the cups placed on my back. I have not had this done before and will see how it feels later tonight and tomorrow. I did wish I could have had water, so next time I will take alkaline water with me. So that was 60 minutes worth of deep tissue massage and the cups. I went to pay and then I asked if anyone was available to give a foot massage. Jimmy was available. The foot massage started with a arm and cranial massage while my feet were soaking in hot water. And then he proceeded with the foot massage. Again he was so detailed on the different parts of my foot. I felt so much relief and effect from the massage. The total cost of all this was $98 and I gave him a $20 tip for the detailed massage and being available when I needed. So many masseuses have wait times of days and weeks. I was completely dressed the entire time and was pleasantly surprised by how much relief and how relaxed I was during my massage.... This place seemed to be a good place to go because when booking the appointment, the gentleman was very professional. I booked a massage for 2 for me and my mom, and we arrived early to be on time for our appointment. This massage was something we needed and looked forward to all day; however, when we arrived, the guy at the desk said one of us would have to wait about 25 min because the person ahead of us arrived late. I then said we would both wait to get our massages at the same time. He argued that if I wait, then he would be late for his next appointment. He didn't apologize for the inconvenience he dumped into our laps, but proceeded to go to the back to tell someone (very loudly) that I refused to go in if we weren't starting both massages at the same time. He then came out and said it would be alright for us to go in at the same time, but by then, I was so upset. I told him that if his other appointment was going to be that late, they should have canceled them and not have made it hard on us. I didn't get my massage, but my mom did and she was very disappointed. She kept trying to communicate to the lady who was massaging her that she needed her to go deeper and tried to direct her on where to massage, but the lady didn't speak English. I did tell the guy who spoke English to tell the girl to go deep and that my mom had a sciatic problem. My mom said the lady just wasted a lot of time rubbing gently instead of working out the problem areas. Then, when she left to get the hot towel, she took a few minutes, and the massage ended 5 min early. I honestly felt it was a waste of money and our time, but I paid for the service. Then the guy had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to pay the girl after I paid him. He meant for me to tip her. I said, "No, we're good here." He asked me 3 times for a tip, then turned to my mother and asked for money for "the girl." It took everything for me to just bite my tongue. Other than being polite on the phone, a lot of training needs to go into being more professional with customers. The guy up front was nice, but you don't demand a tip (several times), especially when the massage was sub par and there were communication issues. My mom did not get the relaxing experience she needed and expected and we recieved no apology for our appointment being delayed. Everyone's time should be respected. I've been there twice already, I had real bad back pain the second time and was walking with a tilt in my hips. I got my first deep tissue massage here and found areas I didn't even know I was sore. I've been going to Skillful Hands for several years now . It's been consistently great. They are friendly, accommodating and clean. The massages they offer have always met my standards . There is one gentleman that is rather strong, but each time I ask him to ease up, he adjusts well. They offer both table and chair massages . Private room with oil or semi-private no oil. I've experienced both with oil and without and have always been happy. I believe their prices to be appropriate and I've never been pressured to tip any certain amount. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it's not as fancy as of some of the spas I've visited. But I truly don't mind it. So if you're looking for a good massage that's not overly priced and you don't care to have all the frills of a day spa, this is where I'd recommend. read more

It's ironic that they choose to name their business "skillful hands" when they use their elbow and forearms during the entire massage. (I've been here twice). My 3 star experience are as follows.. Pros: 1. I've been here twice and have seen 2 different masseuse's and they've all used their elbows and forearms the entire time. If you're not into that, then this is not for you. However, though this is generally not as good as hand massages, they manage to pull it off quite well. After the massage,I overall felt pretty good. 2. The prices are cheap 3. They offer a clothes on experience and the standard massage 4. Clean and legit, it's in a quiet part of the mall Cons 1. If you read other people's reviews, they all complain about the same thing: the pressure can be painful and uncomfortable. I agree with those complaints, but for me, this isn't a problem. 2. Like any other massage parlor, they spend most of the massage on your back and not enough on your limbs. They may take 2 minutes tops on each arm and each leg, but most of the hour is spent on your back. After a while, when most of the massage is spent on your back using strong pressure, the relief turns into pain. 3. The customer service is standard and below. They're not rude or anything, but they'll put on a smile and promise you the world, but as soon as you make that payment and paid your tip, I've always had this, "Okay, you can go now" vibe. If you want a deep tissue massage for I reasonable price then Skillful Hands is the place for you. Keep in mind they do deep tissue massages that can sometimes be painful. I get a massage about once a week at Skillful hands and the staff makes every effort to get those sore knots in my neck and shoulders rubbed out. It dose hurt sometimes, but it's well worth it for the end results. My wife says these massages do wonders for the circulation in her hands. We both look forward to our massage here each week because they are fantastic, and always consistent. read more

Came here with my husband and two friends. My husband and I received the full body oil massages. These massages were so painful I felt like I came out worse than when we came in. My massage consisted with a lot of elbow, and way too much pressure. I had complained at least 4 times about the pressure and still the masseuse continued with the amount he was putting on me. I typically like A LOT of pressure when receiving a massage, but this was not a relaxing one. All I felt was elbow digging into me with the dudes entire body weight. Still going to Skillful Hands on a regular basis!! It is a firm massage, know that going in, but you can always tell them how firm you want the massage to be. I have always found them to be very in tune with whatever my issue is on a particular visit. If I mention I have a headache they focus the massage to help and sure enough, the headache is gone. Robert, Tom, and Jimmy are all amazing! I even find they locate issues I didn't realize were the actual source of my problems! Just communicate what your particular needs are before the session and it will go great! I do find if I wait too long between massages, I hurt more and for a longer period of time after the massage so I try not to go more than 2-3 weeks between sessions. I have a chronic condition and these massages have helped me tremendously. May need to try a couple people to find the masseuse that is right for you, but you will thank yourself later. Taking care of you is some of the best money you'll ever spend. read more

It's hurts so good! I had the 20 minutes neck and shoulder massage, and man did I need it. My right neck has been hurting for 2 days and I think it's been giving me tension headaches. So my fiancé and I came here, and he got the 60 minutes full body. I don't really like massages because I am ticklish, but my right neck was bothering me so much I had to give in and get one. At first I was hoping the guy would work on just my right side, but when he did my left, I didn't know that it was sore too. I would definitely come again. The first time I went to Skillfull Hands in their shop in the mall, a man gave me the massage and I actually liked the amount of pressure and for the fact that I was fully clothes and an additional sheet was placed over me like a dead body. So I decided to go back for another one. This time it was a lady. She gave my the massage and upon massaging my back, she continually rubbed right on top of my vertebrae, not even along the side, but on my bones. I even arched my back to hint to her it hurt but she did not stop. I then had to place my hands on the hurt area to show her where it hurt but she said something along the lines of there was something bad thee and she had to remove it or something. I even told her "It hurts, you're rubbing on my bone" and at that time she was pushing right on my tailbone. There were a couple other times where she also did the same thing on my thigh and made me slightly roll to the side to avoid her damn hands since she didn't understand my comment "it hurts."
