I wanted to post a current review since I couldn't find any…read more OH MY GOD!! Joy is a gem that's hidden amongst the rocks!! I'm surprised more people don't know about her! Well, it would explain why, she is a well kept secret! This woman is beyond amazing!!! I've been emailing her during the COVID crisis, and waiting for her to open up. I was running EXTREMELY late (about 30 minutes) and I called Joy and let her know. She was very kind and let me know to let her know when I was there so she could let me in. I was a bit skeptical because of the location. I noticed she worked in a shared office space. Nonetheless, I felt comfortable and follows Joy to a small room where she was set up. When I say this woman explain EVERYTHING from top to bottom! Everything!! From the history of electrolysis, to the machine she uses to how electrolysis worked for her, and even with her hair type. EVERYTHING!! We spent a good chunk of time talking, and let me tell you, I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE COMFORTABLE AROUND A SPECIALIST, THAN I DID WITH JOY! She explained to me that there was no money in the business, but you can see the dedication and passion for what she does. This woman is no backyard electrologist! And please don't be fooled by the lack of Razzle Dazzle you often see in most commercial places. I rather be comfortable and get EFFECTIVE results than go a commercial place than practically be pushed out the door after payment was received. Joy even explained to me about laser hair removal and how it's permanent hair reduction, not complete removal. And even though electrolysis takes time, it is permanent, the only FDA approved way. Joy explained very well, that it takes time and money of course, but that the sooner I quit waxing and plucking the better as electrolysis needs those hair follicles in their current growth stages. The hair root is literally being cauterized to prevent further growth. I was told scabbing may occur and it's very normal. This is true, as I already know when skin is "attacked" like that, scabbing is a normal part of the healing process. Joy explained the three methods of electrolysis and after doing a consult and let me say FREE TEST TRIAL we found the perfect system for my skin type as I have put my skin through HELL trying to remove hair. Just a tid bit about me, I am a 26 year old Black female with the course kinky curly hair, very prone to ingrown hairs. I have hair all over. And I do mean all over! Joy showed me how curled my Jaír follicles were after she removed them. She even talked about how she would see how deep my hair follicle was, and after checking with the sterile, disposable needle, she went in again and cauterized my hair ñ. My hair is very thick and tough, and Joy had no problem removing it. As far as pain goes, I didn't feel any pain when she stuck in the little needle in the first time, but of course I felt discomfort when she went in again and this time burned the hair itself. It was bad. More like a very small localized burning sensation. And let me reiterate, LOCALIZED burning sensation. With laser that I've done before on my pits, my hole underarm was hurting, and the process was ineffective. I did my consult treatment today WITH NO ANESTHETIC! Yes, some spots were more sensitive than others, but now it al prepare for the next time because I will be using the Ebanel 520 numbing Creme, just so I can sleep, since the process can be long. Google it! It's on Amazon. Joy cleared a little patch for me to noticed the difference. It's been a whole 24 hours, and I have no pain, no discoloration. NOTHING!! She also explained that wearing deodorant was okay as she cleaned beforehand, and to make sure I tried not to sweat afterwards. Keeping it dry. Again, I've never felt more comfortable than today. I can't wait for my work schedule to calm down so I can return to her!!! Joy even told me about how she purchased her own machine YEARS ago and tried electrolysis on herself before she went to school to learn. She explained all the places she did her treatments and even showed them to me. Haha! Love being a woman! GO TO THIS WOMAN PLEASE!!! Won't be disappointed! She never pushes you and always follows your comfort level. Very calm, cool and collected!

Every time I called, I was told someone would follow up, but I never received a single call back over the course of two months. When I finally called to cancel, the manager assured me my cancellation would be processed and that I'd receive confirmation. I never did. When I followed up again, they told me there was no record of my concern or cancellation request. What's even more frustrating is that before I signed up, I was told there was a money-back guarantee if the treatment didn't work. Now I'm being told I'm still responsible for part of the cost--something that was never disclosed upfront. Had I known this, I would not have signed up. Loraine finally came in, she appeared visibly agitated and mentioned she was running behind while another employee informed her that the patient scheduled after me was upset about the wait. At no point did she apologize to me for the significant delay. I asked whether it was still appropriate to proceed since the numbing cream had been sitting on my skin for such a long time. She simply applied more numbing cream and disappeared for another 30 minutes or so. I had taken the afternoon off for this appointment, but I certainly wasn't expecting to spend hours waiting because of poor scheduling and time management. When the procedure finally began, another employee interrupted to tell P.A. Loraine that a patient had returned and was very upset about an issue. Without hesitation, she asked someone else to finish my treatment and rushed out to deal with what she referred to as a "difficult patient." I have never spent thousands of dollars on cosmetic treatments only to be treated with such little regard for my time. The entire visit lasted more than four hours, and it felt more like waiting at a walk-in urgent care than receiving care at a premium aesthetic practice. As for the results, I had Clear + Brilliant laser, Sculptra, and Botox. The only treatment that produced noticeable results was the Botox. I did not see any meaningful improvement from either the laser or the Sculptra. Florida has no shortage of outstanding dermatology and aesthetic practices. Given this office's premium pricing, poor time management, lack of professionalism, and disappointing experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
