I've been a patient with Skin Solution for 4 years now and they are fantastic! I have ongoing issues with squamous cell cancer and they are both caring and efficient at handling my treatment and surgeries. Dr Hermann works wonders and her assistant Bailey has fantastic bed-side manors. I didn't like this place. They just pushed for Accutane and Spironolactone which I'm allergic to. They never even tried anything else and would tell me my acne was because I wasn't doing what they told me to do but they never gave me any advice on what I should try. I thought maybe it was just the person I had been seeing so I requested to see someone else. They refused to let me. read more

Tried to make a botox appointment and they said it was $75.00 consult fee, but the fee goes to service if you choose to proceed. That sounds fair. Except they won't tell you have much a unit of botox is. So if you get there and they charge $30.00 for a unit of botox which is ridiculous, and you choose not to proceed, they keep your $75.00. Worst service! They email me the wrong address. And when I showed up the was no sign saying they had moved. When they didn't open I called to find out why they told me I was in the wrong place. I was 17 min late because of there incompetence and they expected me to reschedule. Didn't even bother to ask the Dr if they could go ahead and take me. The whole place was empty. This location is nice, and the two times I've been the consultant and aesthetician have been lovely. The reason for my poor review is because it's been less than two months and I already look like I haven't had any botox at all. I got botox, plasma injections, and under eye filler and my face looks older now than when I went in. All of my forehead creases are back and I already need another treatment. I kept waiting for my features to freeze before I wrote this, then I forgot. My one main point i kept stressing was I didn't want to be able to scrunch my eyebrows, and I still can. Honestly I would pick a different place if you're looking for results you're happy with. read more

Skin Solutions did a fair job for me some 5 years but finally made it too difficult. You can't make a cosmetic appointment online like their other apts. You have to call, but rarely will anyone answer the Franklin,TN phone so you make many calls. Then they made us pay in advance due to irresponsible customers who fail to show up. Not my fault; I never failed to show up even when they didn't, never failed to pay, all to no avail. That meant I had to drive a check more than 20 miles some 6-12 weeks ahead just to make an appointment. Finally they allowed us to give credit card info over the phone, but I've been robbed too many times for that again. Cosmetic service places are demanding money up front without refund (according to blogs) so watch out. read more

Having been going to Dr. Pena's offices in Columbia, Franklin, & Nashville for about 5 years; I feel very fortunate that I found her when I did. She made a diagnosis which was overlooked by my Chicago Dr. over the last 10 years. She is very attentive and wants to truly do a great job taking care of all of her patients. She also does the MOES procedure which many other Doctors don't have experience in. I was frustrated with my last visit to the Columbia office. Did not wait long in the waiting area, but quite a while in the exam room. Also frustrated that I paid a $45 co-pay just to have a PA spend less than 5 minutes providing information that could have been given over the phone. read more

I had an appointment this morning at 10:20am in Columbia to address some issues I am very self conscious about. The first part of the appointment went very well with a lady named Alicia (I think that's her name). We discussed the plan of action for the issues I had and she stated she needs to go speak with another doctor about the meds I was on to make sure everything would be ok. I sat in the chair in the room and heard all of my personal issues discussed very loudly. I heard every single word they both said. The doctor (don't know her name shorter lady with brown hair) had TERRIBLE manner and my doctor what she was going to do. Then she very rudely stated I needed to address one issue at a time with a terrible attitude. As a female with pcos I have some issues that I struggle with and I am very emotional about. I am unable to miss a lot of work so I was unaware that they couldn't treat all of my issues together. I trusted this office to be professional and not tell the whole building my issues. I walked out of that visit crying. I was humiliated. I reached out to my regular doctor that sent me here and told them what happened. If you want compassion from your doctor this isn't the place for you! read more
