I've been sniffing around Sunday's shop for a few years now, developing my idea for a branch on my inner arm. I knew from her portfolio that she was my lady, but it wasn't until yesterday that I was able to experience her hard work and her talent. First of all, her studio is amazing. Not only is Sunday an incredible tattoo artist, she also impresses with other mediums as well. The next thing I noticed about Sunday is her intuition. She was able to read me, grasp my vision and administer the concept into the most beautiful piece of body art I've ever seen (a little bias) having only just met me. I am so so grateful to have her in the Hudson Valley. She was a joy to work with, and my experience was nothing but positive. I won't ever see anyone else. Some things to note: bring hard copies of your ideas. Sunday appreciates printed images. I appreciate that about her. She also loves citrus fruits! Just sayin'. read more

I absolutely LOVE Sunday and her shop! She does amazing fantastic work! Sharp crisp perfect lines even with the tiniest of detailed parts. Her shading and colors are so smooth and look effortless. AmAZing work! Awesome shop. I drive up to this sweet shop from Northern VA, WHY?! Because Sunday is a kick ass artist who does custom tattoos with some serious style. While checking out artists at the Baltimore Tattoo Convention, I fell in love with Sunday's portfolio. Her shop is in Phoenicia, NY. (A totally-worth-it town to check out, no matter where you are from) I knew I'd have to get more info from her, and as I am not the type to spontaneously get a new tattoo, we agreed to be in touch. By the time her next convention rolled around, we had established what I had wanted and given her the time to draw it. So, my project with Sunday began. Five sessions later, I've got a gorgeous shoulder/half sleeve completed. I have driven up to her rad town 3 times now to work on it, and I could not be more pleased with my experience and my art! read more

I just need to add that since posting my original review, Sunday has contacted me more than a couple times. To the point where I felt harassed. Denying that I could possibly have experienced what I did, and denying that's she said what I heard, and denying that she refused to stop when asked. In all fairness, she did apologize for having a loud conversation while tattooing my friend. However , that was kinda spoiled when she said he was so difficult to work with she welcomed the distraction. (Seriously, that's just nasty, what kind of person says that?) I wish the best for Sunday, and clearly there's a devoted following... But the messages I received were not pleasant, customer service oriented or welcome. read more

When I decided to get a new tattoo, I was unsure of where I wanted to go. I could not be happier with the experience I had at Skinflower. Sunday took the ideas I had for my tattoo and turned them into something absolutely beautiful. The studio is super clean and she has created such a comfortable and relaxing vibe. It was such a wonderful and pleasant experience, and I am thrilled with the results. Sunday is very friendly and alot of fun, it puts you right at ease and made the whole process really enjoyable. I have gotten nothing but compliments on the design of my new tattoo and the quality of her work. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! Sunday is the Shiz! I have known her and she has been tattooing me for at least 11 years now. Simply put, it has been an absolute pleasure. I started seeing Sunday when she still worked at Lark Tattoo in Westbury, NY. I told her that if she ever left I would follow her to the ends of the Earth. I wouldn't say Phoenicia is the end of Earth but if she went further, I'd go further. Her Work and everything that goes into the experience of getting tattooed is just that Awesome. Her shop is spotless and very clean (extremely important in the Tattoo world of course) Not to mention Beautifully decorated. As far as her Tattoo artwork is concerned....Gorgeous. Sunday's portfolios only serve back up my claim. Every piece I have, about 52 hours worth to date, has been a colaboration between Sunday and myself. It's very fun to give her an idea and let her run with it, then bounce it back and so on. She will always give you her honest opinion and that is extremely valuable these days. Especially regarding something permanent. Listen to what this gal has to say, Sunday really knows her stuff. In closing, I would highly recommend taking the trip to Beautiful Phoenicia and stopping in to see Sunday. If only to check out her work and pick her brain about ideas. It's very surprising to read any negative feedback about Sunday. She is kind, generous, artistic, and flexible. Her work rises to the level of a masterpiece and she is eager to meet the requests of her customers. She is attentive to her clients ideas, and needs, and makes great effort to check-in to ensure that her work is up to the high standards that one would expect from Sunday. Until actual tattoos are done, it seems unfair to judge her services. Those who have been fortunate enough to have her work would likely be the one's to judge. I hope this feedback negates the negative energy that was offered during a previous post. If this is how someone feels, that's met with respect. But to offer an opinion so blatantly discrepant from what others have experienced, suggests that the writer missed the overarching kindness of this business, this space, and Sunday. I have been getting tattooed by Sunday for I think 10 or 12 years now. She is always amazing-- her studio-- SKINFLOWER is just as amazing!!! I love every tattoo that I have ever gotten from her. She takes the time to listen and to take my vague tattoo thoughts and turn them into beautiful reality. I also believe that her work heals faster and better than other tattoos I have received-- maybe it's just all the love that she puts into my skin......... Everyone should check her out at SkinFlower! I've been going to Sunday for my tattoos for about 10 years now and I have to say I wouldn't let anyone else tattoo my ever. She has always been wonderful to talk to, spend time with and her artistic ability is phenomenal. I have my entire back done by her and am working on filling almost all of my right leg wit her.
