The staff was warm & friendly, the esthetician was professional, knowledgeable, & I also saw results. With summer around the corner I decided to try it again & purchased another groupon. My 1st appointment, the girl was 15 minutes late from lunch & did not even apologize or acknowledge it. I was irritated since I had to make arrangements for my son and figured we would run 15 minutes over to make up for her lack of punctuality.Instead of running over, she ended my appointment 10 minutes earlier than my scheduled time, saying she had to get ready for her next appointment. I lost 25 minutes of my appointment, in addition to the time it took to get measurements and ready for the machine. I pointed this out to Lola at the front desk, who was cold, condescending, and seemed irritated by my presence. She let me know that they made an exception with me getting a groupon for a second time, which made no sense since it says on the groupon you can repurchase after a year. I told her regardless, I should have received an hour treatment. She said eventhough it says an hour, it is only 40 minutes on the machine,which was not the case a year ago, & never pointed out before this. I told her I didnt even get the full 40 minutes but she shoo'ed me away by confirming my next appointment and moving on. I shook it off and hoped for a better experience the 2nd time. I got a call the day of my 2nd appointment, a short while before it was to start saying they needed to reschedule which was inconvenient since I had to make arrangements for my son. The next time I went in, the esthetician again showed up 15 minutes late, and again with no acknowledgement or apology. I was upset at the unprofessionalism and lack of care or concern. I asked to speak to the doctor who was very nice and calming. He apologized and validated my concerns and said he would have a new esthetician work on me and also re-do my first appointment since I did not get my full treatment. I appreciated that and let all the bad vibes from the previous experience melt away. I made my next appointment with Lola who wanted to put me in the next day at 1. I made it very clear to her before booking I wouldn't be able to make it until 1:15 due to childcare and she confirmed that would be fine. My next appointment with the new esthetician went well. She was punctual sweet and professional. When I went in for my 3rd appointment, Lola told me the doctor wanted to speak with me. After waiting well into my appointment for him to free up, he told me they were making an exception to see me because it was my 2nd groupon. Lola pointed this out at least once every time I went in there, which was beyond annoying, since it says on their groupon you can repurchase after a year. I wish they hadn't made this "exception" so I could have avoided all this. The doctor then said that I was 25 minutes late at my last appointment which was absolutely not the case, and showed me a note in my file. I am still disturbed at how someone can/would make up such a ridiculous lie, especially a professional working at a doctors office. And even if I was late(which I wasn't), I sure hope they would be more understanding, considering their history of tardiness and cancellation with me. He then said they checked the machine after my first visit and it recorded a full 40 minute session which can not possibly be true. The esthetician walked in the office 15 minutes after my appointment had started, and we ended 10 minutes before my hour was up. That's not even counting the time it took to get measured and undressed. I felt like a suspected criminal being interrogated and falsely accused. The doctor now wanted to take back his offer of letting me make up the first session, which I can't understand how anyone can feel comfortable going back on their word. At the end, he decided to let me do an additional 20 minutes instead of the full session he had originally promised. After this session, my stomach was raw, inflamed, and super scary looking. The new esthetician was very sweet and assured me this was a "good thing". She said when they trained her, they said it is good when you see "hickies". There were no marks at all with the treatments I received a year ago, let alone, this scary mess. The 1st 3 pics are what it looked like when I got home yesterday. The last 3 pics are from today. I dont have ANY stretch marks or discoloration on my stomach prior to this treatment. I didnt call the office after since not only would it be a waste of time, but it would be emotionally exhausting, and I am still recovering from my experience with them yesterday. However, if it doesn't completely clear up within the next week, I will be sure to contact my attorney. Every bit of this experience was traumatizing exhausting & unacceptable.

What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment.
