I have consistently hit Skinny Bones each year since my kids were little. It's tough to gauge if it's expensive still, or just cheaper than another pumpkin patch but for a family of four it's about a $200+ day . We did spend nearly four hours here last Saturday despite it being a bit chilly. I will say they finally have a lot more to do, and I appreciate the updates they've made to make it more of a day trip than a quick trip. We rode all the rides, slid the slides, and hit both train/hayracks. We spent our lunch in the food barn and got some discount hoodies and tops in the market. We also got 2 over prices pumpkins but when in rome. You can't leave SBP without their very tart apple cider donuts. so good! We'll continue to come back, even if it's a a pricey day. read more

Skinny Bones has become our go-to pumpkin patch for the kids. They have a little bit of everything now: Hayrack rides, corn maze, corn pit, train rides, huge slides, daily performances, and more for the whole family to enjoy! My boys love visiting each year to see what's new, and visit their old favorites. As some other reviews said, yes the price has went up, but so have the amount of activities. It's still much more affordable than other options in the area for the amount of attractions they have. I always appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff are each time we're here. We've been visiting Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch for the past 5 years. We first discovered it when we got our dog and were looking for fall activities, and it quickly became a favorite. One of the best parts is their dog-friendly day, complete with a Halloween costume contest for pups, these types of events are what this city definitely needs more of! Since then, it's become a yearly tradition for us, and now we get to enjoy it with our little one, too. My only drawback is it's much smaller than some of the other well-known pumpkin patches.That said, the smaller size can actually be a perk. It's nice to experience everything in one visit without having to come back multiple times or spend the entire day. read more

Skinny bones is a great place to take your family. Not overwhelming and the staff are wonderful. Kids love the daisy ride and the pumpkin plunge. Some of the other attractions are the jump pillows, corn pit and two corn mazes to name a few. The food is well priced and the cafeteria style restaurant is a quaint barn. We've went to Skinny Bones pumpkin patch for several years, and I've always loved it. We will be back, but today was a bad day for funnel cakes. I have never written a review anywhere but felt compelled to share this. Every year we have made a tradition to get one and they have been so amazing, this year with raised prices at $12 for a regular funnel cake, it was a 20 minute wait and the funnel cake was at best a third of what it has been in years past. I mentioned this to several workers in which they said they have started to skip more on things this year. Please bring back the amazing funnel cakes from years past. We still love this place, but from being in the service industry for many years this seems like a weird place to skimp. read more

I might be biased because we truly just had a blissful weekday visit on our first-ever venture to Skinny Bones, but I wanted to share! We came at open, 9AM on a Thursday, left around 1PM because of storms, and then circled back around 3PM because I'd lost my credit card during our visit I was SO grateful they were understanding and accommodating - they allowed us to re enter and play for a couple more hours of fun! (To be clear, they DO offer this for everyone! I asked when we initially left due to the weather, and they said as long as we kept our wristband, they'd let us come back in) A much more generous and reasonable policy than many other entertainment facilities I've been to. +For my age group (3+5 y/o) this patch is the PERFECT size. In my 4-hour window in the morning, we didn't quite get to tackle every activity, but with the extra couple of hours in the evening we checked everything off our list! + Because it's smaller in size, the cost ($14 per person on a weekday) felt more appropriate than a certain other patch's entrance fees. Grateful for that! +The grounds are well maintained and well thought out - sweet little touches and photo ops sprinkled throughout +they include everything with your entry fee - even one free ball shot and endless trips on the cute daisy train and hayrack ride, etc. Optional "fees" are reserved to just animal feed, souvenir shopping, food or reserving a specific campsite. +We were able to pack our own snacks and light lunch without any issue -There isn't a ton of staff to supervise or explain things (again, this could be something that's different on a weekend visit). Wasn't ultimately a huge deal to me either. -if you do have bigger or very ambitious kiddos, it may not be a full day's worth of activities for your ticket price. -be aware, it is farm terrain - should you need a wheelchair or wagon or stroller, you may struggle or need additional accommodations as the paths are all dirt or gravel read more

We had so much fun. Definite Halloween spirit. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Loved the gift shop, corn maize, wild flower area you can walk through, mad cow ride, and petting/feeding the farm animals. The food was amazingly good. We're blessed that every year our realtor, Samantha Tisinger, has a client appreciate get together at Skinny Bones. So for transparency I've never actually paid to get into this place. The prices though seem way too expensive to me. That being said we always have a blast here. The bathrooms are pretty cool in a converted grain bin. My daughter loves the giant slide (that I REFUSE to go down). Bonus that she was tall enough for the tube ride this year too. I think that was her favorite now. There is plenty to keep you busy for hours and they have fire pits to rent if you wanted to. I still haven't done the corn maze or hay bale rides, but it's on my list to do next year. Skinny Sones would get 5/5 stars from me if the prices for food and entrance weren't so expensive. Parking can also be interesting depending on when you visit. read more

This is our 12th year in a row going to Skinny Bones. All the way back to when the parking lot held about 25 cars. We found it by accident and now it's a family tradition. We have SO MANY October birthdays, we rent a fire pit, the whole family comes, we roast hot dogs and smores. It's grown every year but still in a "Pumpkin Patch Family Way". I remember when the owner would drive our hayride every year. He doesn't now but we speak to him every time he lights our fire. We go TOMORROW, OCTOBER 14TH and yes it will be chilly but everyone gets excited about our Skinny Bones day! We personally don't go to the "other one" much. We have yet to do the night time haunted corn maze, but we will. As my mom got older and couldn't walk as well, they would bring a gator up to her and bring her right to our pit. Before 2023 you called to make reservations and always spoke the owner's wonderful wife. I kinda missed that because we'd chat about our awesome tradition. Now with automated scheduling I didn't speak to her, but hopefully we see her. Ava has been going every year of her life, as has Bennett and Kaydee went at 5 and I'd now 16. You're never TOO OLD or TOO YOUNG for Skinny Bones. Sometimes I pay to use air cannons (the ONLY thing not included in entry fee) but I am this year. If you prefer the extremely spread out "other patch", that's great! We've gone. But Skinny Bones is literally as important to us as our Christmas Holiday traditions! The mad cow ride, check out "Betty". My mom's name and the kids always ride in her. Kaydee, unfortunately, got too big. I am writing a long post because this is so much fun in a FAMILY type atmosphere. We can sit at fire pit #1 and watch the kids on the slides and jumping balloons. So, the only thing Skinny Bones Pumpkin Patch, some of us are 12 years older and those bikes ARE NOT as easy as they look! A tiny motor for us old-timers?? Do not miss the Haunted Trail. We do it every year and still love it. The only thing from "the other one" I really love is the big ball pit room with air cannons. You asked me last year if I thought of any new things to let you know! And a little zip line. But you're perfect so don't worry! TRUST ME! MORE AFFORDABLE, PLENTY OF FUN, AMAZING PUMPKINS, HOT COCOA, FOOD, RESTAURANT, KETTLE CORN, CARAMEL APPLES, A STORE AND SO MUCH FUN FOR ALL AGES. Genuinely enjoyed my time here! Wasn't expecting too much, but I was surprised. Corn maze is awesome, you actually can get lost in there ! Unfortunately, we went on a rainy day so we were not able to do daisy train or hayride. However, from the things that were open I'd say the corn maze was the best attraction. Admission price wasn't too bad but the food at Emmys Barn wasn't worth the money. Definitely eat before going. Thought eerie trail was cute, and I loved the animals they had! Someone said they were free range, so if they wanted to get out of their enclosed area they had that option. Worth a visit for sure! read more

This review is for the after-dark experience only. Because Skinny Bones is open three nights a week I thought it would be a bit more user-friendly then. If you're not there for a bonfire, though, I would recommend a daytime visit instead. Too late to enter the corn maze, said the freezing guy at the entrance. He directed us to the peewee maze, and somehow we stumbled into the hayrack ride path instead. Ran like bats out of heck when we heard the hayrack truck rumbling toward us! The petting zoo animals gave us the side eye and if they could talk it's clear they were saying "hey dudes, it's dark. We're off the clock now." Daughter had fun on the bounce pad at least. Exit not well marked at night. We headed to the bright light and almost ended up in a field. As we left on the correct exit, we saw two other field-bound cars making the same mistake. p.s. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Butter in the gift shop if apple butter etc. is your kind of thing. read more

Absolutely disappointing. Underwhelming. Lazy. Half-assed. We came here two years ago and thought, "This is OKAY." Two years later, I figured we could give it another chance. We showed up about 1pm and left less than 2 hours later. There is absolutely, positively, no way that this place was voted best pumpkin patch in Nebraska. Ice cream for the kids! Oh wait, it's just Italian ice and overpriced containers of crazy ice cream flavors. How hard is it for a place that is "family friendly" to have some damn vanilla or chocolate ice cream? Laziness. This upset me so much because I saw the sign and told my 3-year-old they had ice cream. About 2:45pm we were hungry and saw the Food Barn was nearly empty. Score! Time for a turkey leg, some mac & cheese for the kids, and... what's that? Anything from the kitchen will be a 30 minute wait? What about a corn dog? 30 fucking minutes for a corn dog? Are there other food places? No? You mean to tell me that I paid nearly a hundred bucks to get in here and there is ONE place to get food? Got it. We left after that. GOODBYE. Not giving these greedy owners another dime. They offered uncrustables. Are you FUCKING kidding me? This crossed the line. All you can offer me is a damn $6 uncrustable? You ought to be absolutely ashamed as an owner that this is what you offer your customers. I understand you have to make money, but you are blatantly ripping people off. Not a thing changed in 2 years except the price. I paid $95 for 4 people and feel absolutely ripped off. We will never come here again. I'm not going to let my kids suffer because of this place's incompetence either so I will be taking them to another pumpkin patch next weekend. They deserve much better than this. I will spend twice as much as I spent here too and actually enjoy myself. I won't leave hungry either. I finally get it now. This year (Friday-2024) is a complete bust. About 1/4 of the attractions don't work. Pumpkin plunge creates more work the pleasure, nothing works in the Eari forest, the haunted car works when it wants. The tractor hay ride isn't operating. Save your money this year. read more

I visited the Skinny Bones pumpkin patch in Blair with my grandkids (ages 6 & 5) for the first time. The last pumpkin patch I had been to was when my children were around the same ages. They had a blast!! Favorite things to do were the Frankenslide, Corn Pit, the Bounce Mound, and the Pumpkin Plunge. All of these were included in the admission price. The restrooms were very clean and had warm running water. When we arrived I noticed others with lunchboxes - if you can I highly suggest doing this - the food prices are WAY TOO HIGH. In my logic (if I ran the place), I would make so patrons would not find it necessary to bring in their own food. I would bring my prices down (just a little). I apologize to be commenting on the food without showing pictures. An example of ridiculous pricing was $7.50 for a SMALL order of cheese curds - if they were priced closer to $5 they would have still been over priced but very acceptable because of convenience. Another example was the Funnel Cake priced over $10! Here's another - Apple Cider donuts $12 for 6!! $4 for 2!! I purchased the same donuts at Trader Joe's $4.50 for 6!! My grandchildren took one bite of macaroni and cheese ($$) and were suddenly "full". In a nutshell, great pumpkin patch; bring your own food. read more

By far my favorite pumpkin patch in the area. We've been coming for four years now and it's basically our annual tradition with a couple other friends. It's a family owned business and staff are always very friendly and nice. Plus, it's usually less crowded than vala's. Each year they seem to add new things and don't raise the price of admission. Our favorite thing here is by far the corn maze. They do a scavenger hunt type game, where you get a punch card to find the 8 different numbered posts in the maze. You get a small prize for achieving this, but for us it's more about our own competition. We've turned it into a game among our group where we race in pairs of two to get as many as we can in the shortest amount of time. Each year the maze is different and challenging. We also love the house of mystery and of course always do the Hayrack ride to the pumpkin patch. They have an eerie trail, frankenslide, petting zoo, and jump trampoline among other things. They just added real bathrooms this year, so that's a huge perk-no more port-a-potties! Also added a barn restaurant but we did not try that. I always get my pie pumpkins when we go here every year, for $3 each. Next year we plan to continue our tradition and try the corn maze at night for the first time. read more

If it wasn't for the corn field maze it would have been the lamest pumpkin patch ever. The maze was great! The Eerie path was great if you're 3. Avoid the face painting booth as the face painter uses acrylic poster paint instead of face painting paint. (try getting that off!) The petting zoo had a pig, a baby goat, and a chicken....It was pretty boring. We spent $40 for two people. It was supposed to be $36 but the cashier forgot my change. I didn't notice it until we left. The hayrack ride wasn't working because the woman who drives it has a death in the family. We took my 4 year old and 2 year old granddaughters who are from Florida and do not experience autumn to Skinny Bones. They had a great time as did their parents and grandparents. There were lots of fun experiences such as face painting, the corn pool, slides, petting zoo, and pumpkin painting. We enjoyed the hay rack ride and the big trampoline as a family. We had a great time at skinny bones pumpkin patch today! It was our first visit. Overall, I feel that it caters to a crowd a little bit younger, but they do have a variety of attractions. We went there on a Friday and there was almost no one there. That is always a nice experience when you can kind of have the place to yourself and check out all The attractions at your own pace. The petting zoo was great, with some brand-new mini pigs. I'm not exactly sure what those little pigs are called. One thing that is great about this place is that you pay the entrance fee and then there's nothing else you need to purchase with the exception of food. You want to go on a hayrack ride or the mad cow ride, no extra cost. I also recommend getting pumpkins there. They are only $.35 per pound, which is much cheaper than some of the other pumpkin places in the area. You can tell the place is family owned and everyone was very very friendly. They would go out of their way to say hello and make conversation with you. I think this is definitely a place we will go back to. Oh, one thing I really would have liked to see was some seating in the shade. It seems that almost all the picnic tables were right out in the sun. read more

Went there last night with my family of 6 and 5 other teens. We rented for circle, # 9 to be exact. There was wood for a fire, 2 picnic tables and 4 logs to sit on. We had a great time together as a family. I must say I was a bit disappointed by landscape/ terrain of the areas around the fire pits. It was rough, there was no defined fire pit just wood on the ground. The logs to sit on were small barely 12" diameter, and not level by any means. Both picnic tables needed repair due to rot. And as I looked around there was plenty of others that need it too. Would I go back, probably. read more

This place is a jewel, hidden about ten miles north of Omaha. I have taken my now eleven-year-old son there every year since 2004, and he has enjoyed it more and more as he has grown. The attractions are generally geared toward pre-teen children and families with younger children, and the interactive nerf gun barn is where my boy spends hours playing with the other children. And the corn maze is phenomenal, even getting ME lost as we search for the stations where we punch our ticket with a variety of hole punches as we traverse the maze. I like the scary trail, because I can take my child there and be finished walking it in ten minutes or so. It's accessable to even the least hardy walkers, and the things designed to scare the walkers are absolutely no less frightening than Scary Acres, only much shorter. The family-owned setting is very pastoral, and the people who work there - virtually all family members and their friends - are absolutely great to talk to and helpful; it's obvious to even the most cynical that the owners love what they have created, especially the visitors who make it all possible. And speaking of which, it is NOT like Vala's Pumpkin Patch where one can wait in line thirty minutes or longer just to gain entry, not to mention the waits for the rides and attractions. Skinny Bones is a refreshing change and a real October family treat! My son would give it five stars, but I give it a four, only because I feel there is ALWAYS room for growth, including more attractions. The owners appear to have constructed the entire place themselves, so I encourage them to continue building: there is certainly PLENTY of land available out there to grow! :) I look forward to seeing Skinny Bones again and again.
