We wanted a fun night in the valley so our group decided to give this nightclub a try. Especially since Friday was advertised as a throwback hip-hop night! We reserved a table for our large group of 16 and we were informed that it would be about $150 for the table. We were told it would include a bottle of prosecco and automatic gratuity. But we were warned that if we showed up after 10, we'd still have to pay the cover charge ($5). The inside has low lighting and there is a security guard posted at the entrance. The spot is surrounded by a couple of fast food spots, like the dog haus. And, of course, a taco truck and hot dog vendor show up later in the night! I appreciated that the music was at a good volume; I didnt have to scream to people to get them to hear me. They have a water station conveniently located at the bar. The drinks were great (they've got happy hour prices before 10). And its pretty empty until after 10. I enjoyed my margarita and the Mexican candy shot that I was able to request to have made. Honestly, the drinks were awesome! Since some people from our party werent able to show (down to 11), we were able to ask about the smaller group table, closer to the bar. Our original table was in the back, after the dance floor. Its great if you want to be isolated. Our table ended up being $100, probably cause we didnt get that promised prosecco and it didnt have table service, which worked for us. We had fun dancing. Even though, the music being played wasnt what we consider as throwback hip-hop/reggaeton. The bathrooms were pretty small, with an odd layout (a step before the two stalls). Drinks were good and atmosphere was cool but the main reason I left early from this place was because they were playing some really outdated and old music that's in no one playlist, majority of the songs were from probably 10-20 years ago and no one was feeling it. I recently visited your establishment and unfortunately had a disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. First, I'd suggest reviewing how your front-door security handles entry. A staff member named Matt requested $20 per person for front-of-line access, yet still expected us to pay the regular $5 cover at the door. This came across as unprofessional and misleading. Thankfully, the young lady at the front desk was courteous and said she would notify management -- a much-appreciated gesture. Inside, the bar service left much to be desired. The bartenders appeared more focused on taking shots with each other than serving customers. I was told to wait while the staff did a round of shots, and then got skipped entirely when another bartender chose to serve someone else instead. That level of service is frustrating, especially for paying guests. The DJ did a great job within the limits he was given. However, I was surprised to hear that he couldn't take song requests because certain tracks were deemed "provocative" by management and might cause fights. In my opinion, a good DJ should have more freedom to read and engage the crowd. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, especially considering past visits. It may be worth bringing back some of the former staff or policies that made this place enjoyable before. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. read more

Please Fire Host and security On Friday, December 6th, I had a disappointing experience at this bar. Earlier that night, Brittney told me I couldnt bring in my empty Hydro Flask and leave it in the front, even though I had already brought it inside without issue earlier with no problem with Izzy and Mathew . When I was leaving, my Hydro Flask was nowhere to be found in the front check in desk and they told me to call back to check cameras. I called multiple times last week, visited the location in person, and even followed up again to pick it up. Unfortunately, Izzy, Mathew, and Brittney did absolutely nothing to help. They weren't willing to take responsibility or provide a solution and just told me to keep calling, which I had already been doing without success. This lack of accountability and customer service is extremely frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone based on how poorly they handled the situation. Stop stealing from customers, and call back when we leave voicemails . read more

The music mix is horrible! Not much to actually dance too. The songs give a middle school dance vibe. Songs like, "you're a jerk etc," throw the vibe off. I enjoy all kinds of music but lately skinnys has not been doing well with the music they play. My friend and I use to come here all the time and stopped due to the music being lame but we tried giving it another shot recently and we were still disappointed. People constantly leave the dance floor. The dj plays the entire song even if the crowd isn't feeling it so you're there waiting it out till you hear something better play. I went to this place for the first time on a Thursday night and it was cool. Dj Laggz is a great Hip Hop classic music DJ. The bar isnt too big, but has a dance floor with lights, tables, seats to relax in with mirrors around and dim lights. The prices for drinks was avaerage. I took uber due to parking always a pain in the streets or alleys. Bar seemed very chill not overly crowded with people. One of my favorite bars in town. It's always a great time at Skinny's! The bar staff are all very friendly and work quick, even on crowded nights you don't have to wait to get your drinks. The dancing/DJ's on weekends are a great vibe and I find it a great crossover between a friendly neighborhood bar experience and a small upscale club. I've been here before, a few times since early 2000's when it had another name (I did a private event here back in the day). Recently I went to Skinny's again since a friend's band was playing here on a Thursday night. The place was booming on a week night, it was fun, lively, various types of people, nice crowd, fun, no issues. Cute Halloween decor, they serve a bit of everything - booze territory.Prices a bit high. It's nice since they have live music, local bands, everyone loved it. No cover during the week, $5 during the week (really?). Street parking, safe area, decent place. The music is a bit loud (not to sound like an old lady).
