I came here for a work party recently and I can firstly say this place is gorgeous. From the lighting to the details, it's very "Instagrammable", but I did appreciate it. The area by the upstairs bathroom is a perfect area for this. However, I did notice some regular patrons were seated near the area of our work party. Everyone who I came in contact with was helpful and nice. I had the rice and salmon and it was fairly decent. The salmon at first was slightly dry with the initial bite but got better as you got further in. The rice was a bit too soggy for me. As for drinks, they are on the pricey side. I paid $22 for a Casamigos reposado Margarita. The drink was the right balance of sweetness and strength for me. In all, I would try here again just to see if there is a difference between a catered experience and a regular dining experience. Took bae here for Valentine's Day (eve) and she loved it. It is beautiful from the outside, all the way to the restroom. Definitely a lot of great photo ops here if you're looking for that. It's perfect here for an intimate dinner or group celebration. There's music playing but it's at the perfect level where you can have a conversation. We had 7:30 reservations, arrived 15 minutes early and were still seated right away. It was surprisingly not busy for valentines eve. We had really good service start to finish. Our waitress was attentive and kept everything flowing as we ordered. The food and drinks were great. Everything we ordered we were very pleased and satisfied with. Drinks- I started with the "navagio" and bae had the "corfu". The corfu was good but the navagio was my fave. 2nd round I had the "margaritari"- which was basically a spicy margarita but it wasn't spicy at all and a French 75 (off menu), which was made way too tart. Bae also had a frozen mango margarita which was pretty good. Food- I started with the oysters and bae had the calamari. Both were really good and fresh and the creamy sauce with the calamari was good. I also had the mussels Santorini in white wine sauce. It's really good just wished it was made with more sauce but the waitress did warn me that it comes in very little sauce. For our entrees I had the seafood squid in linguine and she had the baby lamb chops with garlic mashed potatoes. The taste and flavors were perfect but I don't think the portions match the price ", especially the seafood linguine. Celebrated my friend birthday here. First off, the restaurant is beautiful. Plenty of photo ops! The service was nice... The drink presentations were nice - can't say much on if they are strong since I didn't have any. The appetizers - AMAZING! I had ordered the steak initially; medium rare - they made it well done. I asked for it to be corrected. (also, it lacked flavor). I was told it can't be corrected but I can order something else. So I had the short rib I think (something beef, can't remember). I recently celebrated my friend's birthday at Skinos, and it was amazing! Just a 5 minute walk from the World Trade Center subway stop, this place is classy and perfect for special occasions. I also saw a lot of Tiktok videos on this place. The porterhouse steak was incredible - juicy and full of flavor - and the old-fashioned cocktails were exactly what I expected. The bartender was fantastic, making great drinks.. keep in mind it's not the most budget friendly spot but for an occasion like this, it was worth it. I chose Skinos NYC to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. While the restaurant might have a lot of hype, our actual experience was far from celebratory. The service was a major letdown. Despite letting the staff know multiple times that we were celebrating my birthday, we were pretty much ignored. Other tables that arrived a good 45 minutes after us were served promptly, got the full birthday treatment, and even left before we did. Meanwhile, we were left waiting and had to ask repeatedly for basic things like water refills. As my friend also noted in her review, they promised a complimentary mocktail for the occasion and then charged us for it anyway. On top of that, the steak we ordered medium was served well done and was so tough it was almost inedible. In short, for a birthday dinner, this place just isn't it. For the price and the hype, the experience was not worth it. I wouldn't recommend Skinos NYC for anyone's special occasion...especially not a birthday. This place is absolutely beautiful both inside and out, totally lived up to the TikTok video hype! My friends and I tried the chios & mediterranean Mojito. Both drinks were delicious and strong. We had some complementary bread with some amazing olive oil and herbs, and then onto the appetizers. We had the grape leaves and also the spanakopita. So fresh ! Nothing frozen ! For dinner, we shared the moussaka, it was just a perfect amount for us, so creamy and delicious. The food is good bordering on great and inspired but you are paying Financial District prices for sure for food that is not extraordinary. TLDR: Skinos fraudulently charged my credit card $1,080. I hosted 16 friends for drinks at Skinos. The vibe was nice, the drinks were good, and everyone had a great time... until the end. We spent a total of over $1,100 on drinks, and as we were leaving, the bartender (Peter) said we owed another $1,080 as part of a minimum spend agreement. I never signed any minimum spend agreement. The manager Parisa H came over and claimed she had called my girlfriend and confirmed the $1,500 minimum spend over phone. She also said that if we didn't pay the $1,080 fee she would call the police and it would be a "felony." My girlfriend showed her phone records, and indeed there was never a phone call from anyone at Skinos at any time. Parisa then pretended to dial 911. To avoid escalating the situation, I offered to let her charge my card and said I would simply file a dispute and let the credit card company investigate. Parisa printed out a receipt for $1,078 and told me to sign and I refused, saying it was not a legitimate bill. Parisa then said she would not give back my credit card until I signed the fraudulent $1,078 bill. By this point, a manager intervened and came up with a different, smaller number we owed. I took back my card, told them I would file a dispute, and left without signing the receipt. The following day I returned to get gifts we had left behind and to better the nature of the dispute. Parisa took me to the gifts and said she "could have thrown them out" but didn't because she was "being nice." I brought a copy of the itemized bill for the drinks and noted ~$200 for drinks marked as cash transactions that had not been paid, even though my reliable friend confirmed he had paid in cash for them. Parisa acknowledged that there had been an "error" that didn't account for the cash transactions and that they "owe money back." Parisa also acknowledged there was no written minimum spend agreement and that there was no phone call confirming guest count because her staff "forgot." Parisa did text my girlfriend about a $50 per person minimum spend (which we met for 16 people) but simply never confirmed the expected number of guests. In fact, we reached out to offer a guest count, and they said they would call the day of and never did. Parisa derived the $1,500 minimum spend from a post we made months earlier on a third-party website looking for a space for 20-30 people for a semi-private event. Parisa lied about having an agreement, lied about calling my girlfriend, double-billed for cash transactions, and never apologized or refunded any overcharges. I am filing a complaint with the New York Attorney General against this business over fraudulent billing and encourage others who observe the same to do so. My credit card dispute remains in progress. If you choose to support Skinos, be sure to check your bill twice and dispute any junk fees. -Edwin Dorsey read more

Went for my birthday and honestly had an AMAZING experience. First off my waitress was absolutely incredible, I believe her name was Mina (hopefully remembered that correctly). She waited on us hand and foot! She helped with my decorations, was on point and fast with orders, and was just the sweetest person. Honestly, if I could book and have her everytime I would keep coming back without hesitation. There was a female photographer that pulled me away for some solo bday shots and boy did she know what she was doing! Im not a picture person and I get very awkward, and when I expressed this to her, she told me which poses to do and gave me the best birthday pictures ever, loved her. The food was great because while it was tasty and filling - it wasnt heavy on your stomach and made you feel icky after. I think my fav was the Keftedes meatballs (wish I got like 3 orders), Shrimp Saganaki (dip your bread in the sauce!), the lamb chops, and the pan seared chicken. Drink presentation AMAZING, my fav was the candy shop (it was my tables fav as well!). My table had a total of 10 people and we were all just so charmed by it all. The place is absolutely gorgeous, I mean it speaks for itself. A DJ was playing since I believe 8:00pm, and a little later into the night they had a beautiful belly dancer come out, entertainment 10/10. I was on a business trip and had a free evening, so decided to watch the sunset from One World Observatory. Took a quick walk around after and stumbled upon this restaurant. It looked pretty from the outside and was quite beautiful on the inside! The decor is primarily white with gorgeous florals hanging from the ceiling. Really beautiful interior. Downstairs was more of a bar area and I was seated upstairs for dining. Service was excellent. The beef short ribs were pretty good, although the meat was just a touch dry. Not as tender as I would have liked it to be. The bread was delicious though! I suppose this was about standard pricing for NYC, but it seemed a little overpriced for the quality. I've been a baker for a long time and I've never seen anyone roll a baklava and now I know why. 1/2 a piece of cake and all but 1 bite of 2 baklava rolls hit the round file. We got there before brunch was over so there was no limitations on what you could order myself and some had brunch and added the unlimited drinks unfortunately this deal was not worth it I had a total of 3 drinks. Recently came here for a private room dinner with friends & family for my birthday/gender reveal. It was no pre-fix menu but a spending minimum is required for the upstairs room. Staying in a hotel nearby, my husband and I were looking for a place to sit down and eat dinner around 9pm on a Sunday night so options were limited in the area and the red lights outside drew us in. The bottom floor where you enter seems like a cute little bar/lounge area and only had a few people seated at the bar but we were escorted to the dining room upstairs. There were several parties taking photos on the stairs and it seemed well-decorated like this is encouraged. Upstairs was about 60% full, which was surprising given the hour. We were given a choice of tables-- one in a larger dining room, which was a bit more densely populated, or one near the stairs which was a bit quieter and more intimate (if you ignore the camera flashes) so we chose that one. Unfortunately, our seats had stained-looking cushions which was disappointing for such an aesthetically pleasing space but we moved on. Service was attentive and efficient and we ordered the Village Salad to share and we both got separate orders of the Chilean Sea Bass. The Village Salad was a basic Greek salad, tasty and a solid portion for two but nothing out of the ordinary. The risotto of the Chilean Sea Bass was definitely the star of the meal-- tasty and perfectly cooked. As far as ambiance, this restaurant seems like TikTok/Instagram came to life and looking around, everyone there was celebrating a birthday and taking plenty of photos so if that's what you're looking for, this is it! There even seemed to be a photographer walking around available for professional photos which was a nice touch. If you're coming for the aesthetic, don't skip the bathroom as it seemed like a favorite spot for photos too.
