For my 40th birthday, my wife purchased for me a gift certificate to SBRS. A dream come true! The gift certificate was for Road America. After 1 1/2 years, there were no race school events at Road America so I requested a refund. I was promised a refund on May 25, 2016 but was told it would take 90 days plus due to a backup on paying off other refunds. It is now November 17, I am still without a refund and they refuse to return my calls, email or social media communications. I've given them more than enough time to reconcile this issue but they have chosen to ignore me. Be extremely cautious if you plan on doing business with them. Wondering if others have had this issue and if they got the BBB involved. Update as of 1/5 - was promised a refund by Dec 31 from their VP of Bus Dev / HR on Nov 17. Horrible experience. They cancelled and haven't done any response or refund for a year now. Please SAVE your money and go somewhere else. My husband purchase a 3 day event last year and he's been trying to get a hold of these people and they never called him back. The event was scheduled for November 30th-Dec 2nd. They cancelled the event without any notice to their customers. We had learned about it through a friend that was also going and said he read it on the car forum. So then my husband tried to reschedule but due to being in the military he wasn't able to reschedule. The sales rep said he was going to call him back for a resolution but he never did. He dodged my husbands phone calls and even their headquarters didn't reply to our emails. It's BAD business. Horrible customer service experience and it's not like it's $200. We paid $2000 and haven't received any services or even a response via calls or emails. HORRIBLE!!! ***Update*** This business went bankrupt. They have the audacity to say claim they called each customers back to work something out? Not at all. My husband called, I called. No response. Do we really have to pull up phone records? I didn't receive one single email, nor my husband. I emailed the person whom sold him the track days and I emailed the person "in charge" and we had no response. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I would have to hire a lawyer to get some kind of money back, but after all the lawyer fees, I'd be back to almost nothing. Scheduled an event months in advance, $1,500. Bought flight, rented a car, got a hotel room. Time comes for the class. Fly down, pick up the car, go to hotel, open laptop and "Surprise!" your event has been cancelled. No-refund. No keep in mind that *you* cannot cancel...period...you could die and they'd still keep your money. Any attempt to reschedule will cost you 15%. However, they feel it's acceptable to cancel a class, no refund to you, less than 48 hours before the event? If you're like me, this may have been a bucket list item. Avoid SBRS like the plague. They cancelled THE only class that I would've been able to attend and they flat out refuse to give me a refund. I'm now on month 3 of fighting them through my credit card company. I've never dealt with a company that is so coldly tone deaf and disdainful towards their customers. I implore you to go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Don't end up in the same fight that I'm in. I really hope that I'm able to come to some resolution with this but with the treatment that I've seen thus far, I don't have much hope. read more

I too wanted to share with everyone my dissatisfaction with Mr. Michael Culver CEO of Skip Barber Racing School. I know many Skip Barber customers who also were unfortunately taken down a road of misfortune. Sadly, my trip was cancelled by Skip Barber days before the event was to take place. I have not been refunded nor have I been reimbursed for my lost airplane ticket that I purchased for this event. Google "Skip Barber reviews" and you will find a slew of dissatisfaction about this firm. Mr. Culver does not deserve any accolades for his performance as a CEO as he suggests under his signature line. I am confident your investigation will reveal his true business practices.
