Jamie (the owner) is really friendly and welcoming and even let me sign my name in the bathroom! (This is a common thing at Carpy's...I promise I am not that weird). Aside from the great service, drinks are cheap and are made well. For the bloody mary that I won't shut up about, Jamie adds the perfect amount of heat and flavor and there is just enough vodka that you can taste is, but it is not overpowering. Add the beef stick and pickled asparagus garnish he puts in and you've got yourself a meal! Friday and Saturday nights get fairly busy (for small town Iowa). The dance floor is small but just big enough that you aren't getting to know the locals too well, if you know what I mean...I will definitely stop by again!

My wife had boneless wings and the deep-fried cauliflower. The food was excellent across the board. Portions were big, nothing was greasy, and everything was cooked exactly how it should be. The cauliflower was crisp and seasoned well, the wings were solid, and the tenderloin was spot-on--great flavor, not oily, and the onion rings were light and perfectly done. Our bartender/waitress, Jesse, was outstanding. She was friendly, checked on us several times, and made sure everything was right. All in all, a great stop.
