So this is definitely a tourist attraction... it's $20 USD for the ride up ($6 for kids), but we really enjoyed the sunset views. Theres a decent restaurant and bar, which really has decent food and good cocktails. The menu is pretty broad from sharable apps, to main courses, deserts and even milkshakes. The prices are decent even considering the $20 charge to get up there. One level above the restaurant is another observation deck with no roof but with big glass panels, sort of an indoor outdoor experience. There was also live music that began at 8PM when we were there. I usually don't go for the traditional tourist activities, but I'm glad we went. This was our first visit to Santiago and we decided to check out the views from the Sky Costanera tower. It was a little complicated to find the entrance via the mall, but we persisted. You can buy your tickets from a kiosk which looked easy but a helpful guide made it easier. It was not too expensive for the trip up to the top and we only waited a few minutes during the early afternoon. In the elevator the guide asked where we were all from and explained what to do in Spanish and English. There are wonderful views of the entire city and it was a great way to get our bearings, if a little smoggy. We stopped by the cafe and had a little cake and coffee. Had tickets for 11AM, showed up and we were told the place was close d and to come back at 12. We showed up at 12 and were not allowed in until 1 (2 hours past our ticket time) There was zero communication whatsoever. We had planned our day around this. Overall, SKIP this. Came for the views, and it didn't disappoint. The tallest building in South America has a wonderful observation deck on 2 levels. A clear day provided views of the snow-capped mountains behind the very built-up city. Organized and easy process from purchasing tickets to reaching the top. It's definitely worth the 30 mins or so we spent enjoying the view. read more

As a 1st time tourist to Chile, we went up the Sky Costanera tower. The views were gorgeous! I recommend going when it's not cloudy or overcast. It costs about $18 USD for a ticket. We went on a Thursday afternoon and there wasn't a long line. The worker who greeted us in the elevator to go up was very friendly. And he spoke good English which helped us since we couldn't speak Spanish. It's self guided but he did point out what we were looking at from each direction. There's some photo ops on the top floor. The restrooms are clean. There's also seats in case you want to rest. There was also a nice but small souvenir shop. I recommend visiting if you're a visitor to Santiago. read more

I enjoyed my visit to Sky Constanera. I went at night and the lights of the city were beautiful. I enjoyed how they kept it dim inside so you didn't get glare from the interior lights. It's more expensive to go on weekends so if you're looking to save money, go during the week. Make sure you take the escalator up to the outside portion to enjoy more of the view. There is a little cafe on the observation deck that was very popular and there was a combo playing music while were there which was nice. You need to go to the bottom level of the mall to enter. The largest skyscraper in South America, Sky Costanera grants you to a vast view of the city of Santiago. We went just before the sun set and it seemed we weren't the only ones. Lines were a bit messy, there being no direction or organization. Ended up having to make the line twice as I had bought the tickets online and there was a second line for that, but again, no one tells you because everyone is stuck in the same line. Inefficiency aside, going up to the top, my ears popped. Ditto with going down. The views themselves were good but not great. Why do I say this? Because Santiago is heavily full of pollution and you see it even more when you're that high up. I recommend it as an experience, yes, but I wouldn't tell you that it's the end all, be all, if that makes any sense. I've gone to other skyscrapers in other parts of the world that have impressed me more. read more

We visited Sky Costanera because the gondolas were closing soon. We wanted to get a good sight of the beautiful city of Santiago. I found Sky through a google search and had no idea it is the tallest skyscraper in South America. The cost was low but the views were definitely not. On a nice cloudless day, you can see over the mountains (but not over the next ones or the ones after those). It is an amazing 360 view and worth the visit. It's a quick trip, maybe 40 minutes if you really take your time. I highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in Santiago. You won't be disappointed. If you are looking to visit, you have to go inside the mall and go the bottom floor. It's right next to Samsung. read more

The sky Costanera is the tallest building in South America and offers you a chance to rise above the city of Santiago de Chile to view the city in panoramic views. I went around 7:30 to try to get good sunset pictures. It could be more straightforward where to go to get to the top. GPS will take you to the building, but the entrance is in the attached mall's lower level. The last elevator up is at 8:30, and you should allow at least an hour to wait in line if you do not pre-purchase tickets. The sunset is fantastic; the only downside is that pictures of the sunset are challenging to obtain, as the glass in the viewing area was quite dirty the day I went. Don't forget there is also a bar one can visit while at the top. read more

A real stunner. A fantastic way to really get a perspective on the jewel of Chile. We lucked out on a low smog afternoon so the views were great. The little bar/restaurant was top notch and you never felt rushed along. An absolutely beautiful place to stop by. Sky costanera is a spectacular 360 degree view of the city of santiago. The view is seen from the top of one of the largest skyrises in santiago. In order to get to the top, you have to buy a ticket on the ground floor. The tickets are about $12 USD per person. Afterwards you have to pass through a metal detector and present your ticket to an elevator attendant. The elevator takes you up over 40 floors and then you arrive at a truly remarkable and memorable view. The whole city is visible from this spectacular vantage point. The andes moutain range in the distance makes found an astounding backdrop. My family and I went during the day on a relatively clear day so we got to the advanatage of a lot of different photo opportunities. The view was truly amazing during the day but I could only imagine how beautiful and the romantic the view must be from sky costanera during the night time. Overall, this is a really cool place to stop by in santiago. On the lower levels of the building, the place actually has their own mall. My family and I didn't get to explore the entire mall but it looked like a good time. Sky Costanera has a variety of cool attractions: restaurants, stores, and of course the unbeatable 360 degree aerial view of santiago. There is parking available in the basement of the sky rise building. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place and checking out the view if you are staying in Santiago, Chile. read more
