We had no idea this existed. The views from the top on this beautiful sunny day were great and worth the 303 steps to the top. We hiked on a couple of the other trails to see some of the other rock outcrops. The trails were very nice. We drove through the campground and it appeared to have good sites. There are a few picnic areas but not a lot of other amenities. It appears that the main entrance to this park closes sometime in late October but there is a winter entrance for cross country skiing on the south side of the park. Worth a detour to check out.

The free par 3 golf course, is something fun to swing the sticks, the free mini golf is quiet enjoyable, their adding some pickle ball courts this season. Overall, GLC is an excellent place to recharge your batteries, anyone who doesn't enjoy it, doesn't enjoy life to its fullest.

It is more like a little resort with pools, camp store, fishing pond and planned activities such as ceramics($), horseshoe tourney($) and music at the pool each day. Very family oriented. They had a movie Sunday night on a big screen by the playground and also a cute little mini golf course...for free. The facilities and camp store/office were very clean and well maintained. It fits the definition of "glamping" with all the amenities. Of course they really cram in the campsites so you are very close to everyone around you...which is ok but can hear EVERYthing the others do. The part that stood out the most was the great customer service of the staff. Always a smile and a hello. The kids all went to buy candy in the store and when realizing they were $ .11 short the wonderful lady behind the counter gave them a little wink and covered each of them...not a huge amount at $ .33 but it was a very nice gesture and the kids thought it was so great!

It's a shame that such a special place for so many campers and staff has done so many corrupt…read morethings. So many staff have been underpaid, mistreated, experienced ableism and been exposed to unsafe living conditions. Some campers have even experienced ableism and unsafe conditions (like COVID-19 exposures). Hope this place gets its act together and priorities straight because the campers, families and staff deserve so much better...

We try to come here every year, we just love staying here. Eddie and Patti have become friends after our first visit at the cabins. They make sure you have everything you need to have a great stay.

We went to rent three WaveRunners with our group of friends. Outside, they had new WaveRunners…read moreavailable, but they gave us the older ones. When I asked why, they gave a ridiculous excuse, saying they couldn't give us the new ones because we were a group, and they would only give them to solo riders. Despite the illogical reasoning, we took the older ones without causing any issues and started riding. Ten minutes before the end, I was swapping the passenger behind me with another friend. Both of us stopped, and there was a distance of about 4 meters between us. The friend behind me jumped into the water and went to the other WaveRunner. Just at that moment, one of the employees was coming towards me at high speed. Unable to control his speed, he tried to veer to the right to avoid hitting me head-on but ended up colliding with me. The 16-year-old employee said we needed to return to the shore, so we did. He told everyone that I had hit him, even though myself and two friends witnessed the incident. I explained the situation, and two female managers came. Surprisingly, both of them accused me, as if they had witnessed the whole thing. Their only argument was that we shouldn't have been that close. I understood that point, but their employee shouldn't have approached me with such speed and shouldn't have hit me. Despite my efforts to explain, they blamed me unjustly. Then, another employee on the shore, who was more than 200 meters away from the incident, claimed to have seen me hitting the employee. This was an obvious lie and deception. Later, the girl at the reception inside the establishment claimed that I had asked her a question: "What happens in case of an accident?" I asked her to show the footage because I knew I hadn't asked her anything like that, but she said she didn't have the authority to access the cameras. When I got home, I saw that they had charged $1030 to my credit card. This is a robbery, a lie, and a slander. I strongly advise staying away from this place. I will do everything I can to get my money back. The document I signed does mention that I will be liable for any damages to the WaveRunner I rented, but there is no clause stating that their employee can come so close and even collide with me, and I have to pay for their expenses.

Tube and skis included. Beautiful area of the Wisconsin river. Highly recommend. We would return for sure.

Turns out, I'm a bit of a Yogi Bear at heart (Hey Boo Boo...let's go get us a pic-a-nic basket). Only, unlike that thievin' bear, I bring my own bountiful basket. So, while cruising around the Dells, I thought--why not have a picnic in a park. Enter Bowman Park. It's a great park to enjoy a picnic. They have a few picnic tables scattered here and there as well as plenty of shade--so, perfect for picnicking! Beyond that, there's a large field near their bandshell/pavilion that is plenty big for sports (and indeed, while we were there, there was a group of guys playing a casual game of football). The field is sort of sunken, so that if there were a concert going on that brought a good sized crowd, you could get a spot on the berm above and still have a great view of the band. The don't allow pets of any sort (leashed or unleashed) in the park, which was a bummer as we had our dog (it wasn't hot, so she was able to hang in the car with the windows down, but she would have much rather rolled around on the lawn). Other than that? A great little park, conveniently located to many walkable restaurants and shops. Get to it!

Mark and Lucy were very kind and professional, Jake, and Elliot were fun and made dinner prep go smoothly and Jacob was all business and super helpful. Fair warning though, working as a volunteer, in the kitchen is fast-paced and no joke! Absolutely hydrate. ITS HARD WORK!! The family cabins are minimalist and rustic. We tried to prepare for the hot weather by bringing our own portable A/c but there was absolutely no way to place this unit using their side-opening windows. It was well over 85 degrees and once it cools off at night, the cabin remains warm until morning. The foam mattress also heats up the longer you lay on it. We asked if they had a cool space for us and they put us in a air conditioned apartment basement offered up by staff members ELI AND KASANDRA. This was quite kind. Camp for kids looks like they were kept busy and as cool as possible. They have plenty of staff watching over them. I walked into both boy and girl cabins to drop off something and the cabins were way to o warm for comfortable sleeping. They use fans. It is not enough in 90 degree weather. I would have paid a little more for my Childrens comfort. Night time is a struggle for my kids and many kids. Offering comfort can help attitudes. Camping does not have to mean suffering in heat. My son did not want to return based on the discomfort (heat) alone. I think a comfort-based survey from the kids may be useful towards repeat business. Again Staff gets 5 stars Comfort gets 2 family cabins too warm and campers residence is also too warm. He learned new games, practiced archery, swam in the lake, and had Christian devotions by the campfire at night. The cabins were clean and comfortable. He is already looking forward to going back next year!
