I originally signed up for the big jump but was told minutes later that the big jump location was on hold for high winds so I decided to switch to the bridge jump instead. The cost difference was immediately credited back and I weighed in and waited for the bus. The driver was pretty funny. Got off at the bridge stop and was amazed at the facility next to the bridge. There was a cafe, gift shop, restrooms and lockers? There was a bungee swing and a very short zipline running from that building. To get to the bungee jump I walked outside and up a short flight of stairs to the end of the bridge. Walked outside to the center where a prep area and staging zone were cobbled onto the bridge gave my ticket and in a few minutes I was waving to the unseen cameras. The jump was a bit scary The guys in the boat hauled me in and I was off the building. I was surprised at the quality of the images and downloaded them to my phone. The tee shirt is nice. After that it was back onto the bus and into town. The trip back was faster because I was looking at the photos... Amazing

I jumped backwards on the platform, which was a first for me (I have done bungy jumping before, but not at the Harbor Bridge and certainly not backwards.) They also put on my favorite music to do the jump to, which was really cool and fun! The jump also comes with a T shirt (they no longer do certificates) and you can purchase photos and the video too. I was very impressed with the photos and video! This is a must do activity for both tourists/visitors and locals alike as I definitely recommend it. It is also very unique, as you are not only bungy jumping in a major city (supercity) in New Zealand - but you are actually bungy jumping right underneath State Highway 1 a significant motorway, which the Harbor Bridge is actually a part of.

So, when I found out there was a Sky Jump in Auckland, I KNEW I had to do it again. It's a BEAUTIFUL way to see Auckland, although it passes by very quickly. For those not familiar, the Sky Jump is a vertical free fall. So some have described it as a vertical zip line and the free fall part of skydiving. I just love it and it's a great thrill along with a beautiful view of Auckland which for us, we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. The staff was extremely helpful and did a great job of calming our nerves. Your jump includes a shirt and there are other souvenirs to buy before and after your jump. There are also photo and video packages and you can see the photos and videos before you even buy. My husband and I opted for just the USB which includes our videos and it is a unique carabiner USB that I still use today. NOTE: you cannot take anything up with you on the Jump, even my little hairclip got taken for the staff to hold. There are lockers when you get there, but probably best to leave everything behind, if you can.

I came here with my friend when he did a skydive for his 21st birthday. There are two skydiving…read morecompanies right next to each other and he chose blueskies which is the one at the far end. When you walk in the get you to sign your life away with a legal document which makes you feel a little uneasy at first but after you have watched their instructional video and a chat with the instructor things feel much more relaxed. The dress you in their blue and orange jumpsuits, give you goggles and a hat to match and then they fit your harness. The plane went up and we were all eagerly watching, then we saw the little black speck jump out of the plane. He was falling for around six seconds and then it was about 5 mins with the parachute out. After your jump you have the option to purchase a video which is about $100 so pretty expensive, or to purchase still images for around $60. At the end of it my mate said it was one of the best things he has ever done and he was really happy with the company.

Sometimes the best laid plans are no plans. Our jet boat driver was a crack up and a pretty good photographer when it came to taking pics and movies with a gopro. We paid an extra $20 for the digital versions and these were uploaded to a dropbox so we could download them when we got back home. The thrill of 360s was good fun; watching and cheering the bungee jumpers from the bridge was crazy and seeing the harbour from water level was excellent for a change. You will get wet but your laughter will dry you off pretty quickly!

As a specialty store, one would assume a more upbeat reception and less prompting to get information. The selection looks impressive to my untrained eye but the lack of enthusiasm left me a bit bored, even with the rainbow of colours on offer.
