Been here a few times and they have updated/remodeled a bit since I was there last. We had a birthday party and got a nice room and a dedicated staff member to set up and assist and pack up when done. Kids can play on anything for one price. Tons of trampolines and obstacle course activities that are fun for the kids. Also have concessions, pizza, etc. plenty of places for parents to sit and wait.

New activities installed for all ages

Happy to upgrade this review from 1 to 4 stars! I reluctantly returned at the persistence of my son and was happy to see it in good repair, clean, and with new activities! The park was clean, the biggest complaint is the foam pit by the toddler area had some extremely old foam blocks coming apart, we even found an old cell phone and other odds and ends that have probably been down there for years and most likely not cleaned. We will return, it's now worth checking out!

Great place to take kids to get out energy. We visited this past Monday since it was Presidents' Day and school was out. We arrived around 9:20 and there were very few people inside. We did not have to wait in line, which was nice. They have a seating area located in front of the trampoline park which is nice to set up base with drinks. They have comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. They also have a large restroom and a snack bar with an assortment of treats and food.

The service is terrible. They have a bunch of kids working here that seem like you are inconveniencing them by asking them to do their job.

So, two people in our party had to pay full price for no rides. There was a long wait at the front to get into the park, because only one employee was working. Not really sure what they were doing because they gave us a wrist band for the water park even though we only paid for the theme park. We were as confused as they were. We went during Thanksgiving week so the weather was cooler, but there wasn't much of a wait for any rides. Our daughter wasn't tall enough to ride everything (only 38"), but we still managed to have a good time. They have a lot of rides for the smaller kids. My wife and I enjoyed the roller coaster the best. We took advantage of the low wait times and rode the roller coaster several times. Definitely worth checking out.

I traveled from Birmingham and spent a significant amount of money to bring my children to Tropic Falls for the indoor waterpark. Unfortunately, my experience ended up being extremely disappointing and embarrassing. After climbing several flights of stairs to ride a float attraction with my son, I was asked to step on a scale in front of multiple guests waiting in line. I was then told publicly that I exceeded the weight limit and could not ride any float attractions. Another guest even asked if I could ride solo instead, and again, in front of everyone, I was told I exceeded the limit. I completely understand and respect ride safety policies and weight restrictions. My concern is not that safety rules exist. My concern is the lack of clear disclosure beforehand and how the situation was handled publicly. The website states: "All Riders: Maximum Weight of Rider = 250 lbs. Double Riders: Maximum Combined Weight of Riders = 400 lbs." Based on that wording, I believed my son and I qualified for a double float ride as long as we were under the combined limit. If the policy is that no rider over 250 lbs can ride any float attraction regardless of combined weight, I feel that should be made much clearer before ticket purchase. What hurt the most was being weighed and having my weight discussed in front of strangers and my child. My son no longer wanted to ride afterward, and I walked away feeling embarrassed and unable to participate in the attractions I came to enjoy with my son. I have reached out to management privately because I wanted to give them the opportunity to address my concerns first. However, I also feel it's fair to make others aware so they can make informed decisions before visiting. I truly hope policies are communicated more clearly and situations like this are handled with more privacy and sensitivity in the future.

This place has a much more chill vibe than OWA or Big Kahuna's, so if you're expecting that level then you might be disappointed. However it is far less crowded and you don't spend hardly any time in lines. All the water slides were working and it felt like the kids went down them each a hundred times. Pro tip on the lazy river: get you a double tube and stretch out and take a nap. They've got some shade in several stretches and it's normally able to handle the traffic so you're not running in to anyone and able to relax. The little restaurant they have was giving away unlimited free drinks which was a nice, and there was a nice older gentleman working the grill. When I ordered a cheeseburger he said "it'll be ready in 20 minutes boss!" and then I went down a couple slides with my son and came back and got it right off the grill. I'm giving it 4 stars because it may not be the upscale spot but we consider it still solid and worth a visit. So yeah if you want a chill, relaxed day, and don't need all the bells and whistles to have a good time!

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We paid over $250 to spend just a few hours at the park before storms rolled in around 2:30 p.m. By about 4:00, the skies had cleared--but the park never reopened. With two full hours left in the published schedule, and clear weather outside, the day was over. I reached out to management, which is when the situation really took a turn for the worst. Their proposal - a rain check for a future visit. Problem is--we came all the way from Colorado. A "come back next time" credit just isn't helpful when you've spent that kind of money and have no plans to return. We've visited waterparks in multiple states--Arizona, Texas, Colorado--and have never experienced this kind of early closure after a storm passed. Most parks resume operations when it's safe. Not here. Beyond that: You're not allowed to bring in your own water, which is a challenge on hot Alabama days. Several lifeguards at the wave pool seemed more focused on chatting and flirting than on guest safety. The park itself feels a bit rundown and in need of investment. This may once have been the place to go in Orange Beach. But based on our experience, I'd suggest exploring other options for your family day. There are better values--and more responsive customer service--elsewhere. Incidentally, I made numerous attempts to resolve this issue with management, to no avail. They were unwilling to help and (eventually) completely unresponsive.

One of the things my hubby and I loved the most is that the Gulfarium also serves as a rehabilitation center for marine life. Many animals are treated and released back into the ocean whenever possible, while others that could not survive in the wild are given a safe and caring home. We saw a sea turtle with two missing flippers, which was both heartbreaking and made us happy at the same time since it wouldn't stand a chance to live in the wild. We watched both the sea lion and dolphin shows, and they were great. It was so nice to see that the trainers genuinely care about the animals. The animals were rewarded with plenty of treats, attention, and affection throughout the presentations. My favorite part of the entire visit was seeing the manatees. I had only ever seen them in pictures before, and I completely fell in love. They are such gentle, peaceful, and beautiful creatures. I could have watched them all day!

We saw stingrays, dolphins, penguins, manatees, turtles, crocodiles, pelicans, snakes, lizards, frogs, and many other animals. Even though we missed the scheduled shows, there was still plenty to see and enjoy at our own pace. One of the best parts was learning that they care for many rescue animals and help rehabilitate and release them back into the ocean when possible. It was great seeing a place focused on marine animal rescue and conservation. The park was family friendly and easy to walk through, with lots of close-up animal encounters. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is that some of the animal habitats and viewing areas were not very well maintained. A few tanks had noticeable algae buildup, which made it difficult to clearly see some of the animals. Overall though, we still had a good experience and would recommend visiting if you are in the Fort Walton Beach area.
