We tried out Skyline while traveling. It was a fun experience to try a 4way although I didn't necessarily like it. I did have two hotdogs though! I was surprised that they were so small. The service was fast. The waitress was attentive. The sweet tea was AMAZING!

When in Cincinnati it's a must to try Cincinnati style chili. It's different but that doesn't mean it's not chili folks. It's Cincinnati STYLE chili which is served over pasta and has a hint of cinnamon. When at another restaurant we ordered chili cheese fries which I did not care for because it was too much cinnamon. I had it 4 way with onions....small. With A LOT of cheese but you can get less cheese. They give you crackers and the hot sauce on the table has a kick! It's clean and bright and the staff was very friendly especially our waitress. I wish I got her name because she deserves a shout out for putting up with a table of 8 women....most from out of town. She asked questions and was so engaged with us. Awesome! Plenty of options for large parties. Basic menu and I felt inexpensive. Table of 8 and our bill was around $50. Bathroom was clean. You get your bill and then take it up to the register. You can see the assembly line of them preparing the orders. I feel it's a Cincinnati must try.

Full disclosure: this was my first time at skyline and first time eating Cincinnati style chili. Let me start by saying this is a very diner-esque place. If you're from MI, like me, then you can equate this to a Coney Island, but with less options. They start you off with some delicious oyster crackers. Pro-tip: mix a little bit of the hot sauce in with them and enjoy while you order! We ordered chili cheese fries, 3 and 4-way chili, and cheese coneys. NOW, something to keep in mind if you're new to Cincinnati chili. Their "chili" has chocolate and cinnamon so I'm unsure if it can safely be called chili, but it was delicious nonetheless. I very much appreciated that our waitress brought me a sample of the 3-way so I knew what I was getting into. Secondly, the cheese coney isn't really a coney dog on the traditional sense. The hot dog itself is quite small and skinless. Also everything comes with an inordinate amount of cheese, which can be good or bad depending on your taste. The chili cheese fries were phenomenal. The fries remained crispy underneath the deliciousness. The cheese coney was tasty, but she forgot the mustard and onions on mine which was rough. The 3 and 4-way's were pretty standard and adding the hot sauce elevated the experience for sure!! Overall the experience was great and as long as you don't expect actual chili, you'll leave satisfied!!

All of the food was as excellent as everyone says - especially the 5-way and Coneys - and staff were all super friendly to a family of northerners, especially Megan!

A Cincinnati staple. I particularly like the coney. Service is incredibly fast and efficient. You can't visit cincy without having Skyline.

Sweetness. Cheese, spaghetti, and chili. How could you go wrong.

Great service and good chili. We were greeted the moment we entered and picked our own table. A waitress came and got my tables drink and food orders. Another waitress brought oyster crackers for the chili shortly there after. When the food came it was scarfed down, like a garbage disposal. The taste of sweet cinammon and spaghetti noodles and the chili molded together with the overwhelming shredded cheese nicely. Helpings are fair and fills you up no doubt. Enjoy this northern version. As wolf chili slogan goes, neighbor how long has it been.

Skyline had been a long-standing tradition in my life. This was my first visit to this location, and it was evident it had been recently remodeled. The furnishings were fresh and I loved the modern light fixtures. We had specifically visited to get the "sky way" three ways and both myself and my little sister definitely enjoyed the extra cheese! Overall great service, and delicious food as well.

Just like Skyline and GS -- it's pretty doggone good. I had my three-way in the park nearby (wow, let's not take that sentence out of context!). I had to try the coneys, but their double decker sandwiches also sound amazing (maybe for another day.) I decided on 3 coneys and an order of chili cheese tater tots and they absolutely did not disappoint. They offer a little bit of everything including a kids menu, and a tasty assortment of desserts as well. It's a perfect spot if you're looking for a quick meal while shopping downtown OR the most ideal food for a drunken night after car hopping in OTR.

I'm not up in Newport very often, but I definitely will be back and try some more of the menu. He ordered a pretzel for his starter which he gave a thumbs up. He described it as having a fermented sourdough taste which he really enjoyed. His main meal was a Hofbrauhaus Hot Brown which he described as very rich and dense definitely filling. I tried his dish and was very confused by the mix of flavors. I ordered the Rueben balls which I thought were nicely crisp on the outside but overly soft on the inside but it did taste very nice with the dip provided. I decided on the Munich Sampler which came with 2 sausages, a crispy fired pork chop with potatoes and sauerkraut. The pork chop was overcooked and dry although smothered with a mushroom gravy. The sausages were tasty but nothing special. Both sides were so heavily seasoned with vinegar I could not get through them. My husband even thought the sauerkraut tasted too vinegary but he loved the potatoes, polishing off what I had left on the plate. The service was great; prompt and polite. I would say if you like German cuisine this is the place for you! Quite authentic flavors. Just not my favorite.

My wife and I were in the mood to try something new to us, so we popped in for a dinner date. The restaurant space is pretty large, especially for Mt. Adams. It's sort of an indoor/outdoor location, with a large covered patio and large garage doors that open the indoor space in all directions. Certainly a nice place to visit when the weather is good, but the food is just as good as the location, and therefore worthy of a visit no matter the season. My wife and I shared a pitcher of margaritas ($26.99 for the gold), and they were very tasty. Even though they were not prepared to order, it did seem that they had been prepared recently and had great fresh ingredients. My typical Mexican restaurant order is the chimichanga. Theirs is a large tortilla, filled with shredded chicken, beans, and cheese, deep-fried, and topped with lettuce, guacamole, tomato, and sour cream. This is served with rice and beans ($15.25). This was very good and the ingredients were fresh! My wife ordered the chile verde, a delicious plate of slow-cooked pork simmered in a savory green chile sauce. Again served with rice and beans, along with tortillas on the side ($18.50). Another really good dish, and one that is not very common in the Cincinnati area. Go give it a try!
