Incredibly expensive, awful customer service. Barely would explain things to me when I'd go pick up my car. Went in to get something fixed that they had fixed 6 months prior. They called me and told me my car was ready, went to pick it up, it was still making a weird sound after one minute of running and so they had to keep it another night and then finally it was ready at 5pm the next day. Still didn't get much explanation from any employees. Just seems like people rushing to do things and not doing a good job. Had to get the same 1500 dollar repair done twice in the last year. read more

Well I didn't actually have any service. There was a noise coming out of my front left tire assembly. They gave me an appt one month out. Even though I was under warranty with ford I didn't feel I could wait a month for the repair. One tire barring and 300$ later the noise is gone and now I don't have to worry every time I drive. I will try a different dealer next time. read more

Note that this is regarding their "Online" sales people/process. I never made it to the dealership, and frankly, I'm telling people not to go here if you plan to do an online transaction for whatever reason. Wednesday evening: So they have a car that really isn't what I want, but it's basically acceptable. I reach out through CarGurus, these guys are literally around the corner, but I'm at work all day tomorrow. I send an inquiry hoping they'll get back to me so we can do 95% of the process over the phone/email and not have me sitting wasting time (and not making money) for four hours at the dealership only to find out they can't work a deal. Thursday, ~8:30a: I get an email from "Vee" who wants to talk about the car and the situation. Great. 95% sure I want the car at this point. I'm stuck on conference calls all during the morning but don't want to keep them waiting, and I'm not new to the process. So I go on their site and fill out the credit app - it comes back declined and I know why: They want Experian, I refuse to unblock Experian because they promote erroneous credit reports. Has never been a problem otherwise, usually the dealers just run the others. Thursday, ~9a: I get an email from "Pamela" about the credit app. This chick right here is the absolute rudest person I've ever talked to at a dealership. I thought Nick Bauer was bad, she's worse. "I don't see a decline" - I do. B! So what do we do about it? "what do you want to do about it?" No, that's not the way it works. You tell me what CAN be done, I decide what will work of those options. "we finance with a lot of banks" - okay, so DO IT! "When can you come in?" Why do you need me to come in, you already have a completely filled credit app. Find financing options, call me back when you have some that work, when I hear something that makes sense, I'll come in and sign paperwork. She's not trying to hear me. I tell her I'll email Vee and... " Vee's gone". Err, for good...? "She's out of the building." Err...for good...? "SIR, VEE WENT HOME SICK AND..." hold up. I didn't ask for specifics, I asked whether she's gone for good, because (A) she just emailed me 30 minutes ago and (B) I'd rather talk to Vee instead of you. B! "Well your file was given to me." Then I won't be doing business with you guys. *click* So if "Pamela"'s boss reads this...she needs to be fired. Straight up. She cost you an easy sale. read more

I bought a new Ford Escape there just over two years ago, and have taken it there for service since. The service people have been nice enough, however the culture at Skyline seems to be that masks are optional. The staff doesn't seem to care and if you ask them to put one on they'll do it for a few minutes and then take it off. As a healthcare worker I am in the midst of treating those who suffer from the pandemic and cannot endorse a company that is so lax in their safety for themselves or their clientele. I've asked more than once for them to do better, and been promised that they would. After another appalling experience today, they lost a customer. read more

Everything went quite well. Wally is personalable. professional, and efficient. We completed the entire transaction in about 90 minutes. This was without doubt the smoothest most efficient new vehicle transaction we've yet experienced. Also, our 2nd experience with Jeff in Finance was similar. Personable, professional, and efficient. All the paperwork was ready to go. What more can one ask for? If I had a Christmas card list, Wally and Jeff would both be on it. My sales person James Turner made me feel like family. I traded in my 2012 Ford Raptor for a 2015 Mustang convertible. He made an effort to help me through the whole ordeal, even when it involved driving to a different location for the vehicle, and was not pushy about it at all, which made me feel more comfortable and relaxed through the whole process. My family and I have been buying cars here since 1993! It's a great dealership and they've done right by us every single time. We've bought both new and used cars. New cars are covered under warranties, and they always take care of it. Used cars typically are bought as-is and its stated on the car. Although, they've gone out of their way to fix things when they are a problem. We had to take one of my mom's cars in because of a check engine light, and they gave her a rental car without charge or problems. They even took the car to an Oldsmobile dealership and paid for the repair. It was the stupidest thing, just a faulty gas cap throwing a censor. But we took it back three times before they figured it out. They've lowered the price on one of my cars because the after-market stereo didn't work, and took it in themselves to get me a new one installed. I've also made them do things as basic as install my license plates. They are always more than willing to do it and are helpful. It's the dealership my entire family goes to. We don't comparison shop at all, and we have high expectations for them, and they exceed them all the time. I would highly recommend this dealership for both new and used cars. Update to this saga: 08/11/2021: Ford Corporate and the Skyline Ford Body Shop team worked together to cover the repair fully. Skyline Sales stepped up and paid the difference and got our vehicle restored. I have to say, I'm impressed with the job Skyline Ford did on our vehicle. The paint is absolutely flawless. Ford Corporate also offered us an extended warranty just in case more issues arise. I wish I could express how much this means to our family. This is a HUGE worry lifted off our shoulders. Thank you, Ford for being a good corporate citizen and making good on the product. This is important. Folks, don't be afraid to advocate for yourself and your family. I do believe that our local dealer does want to do right by their loyal customers. Sometimes it just takes some communication and expression of honest feelings to get the job done. Stay away if your a woman looking to buy a car or place an order. Walked into this dealership about a month and a half ago (mid august) interested in placing an order for the 2023 ford maverick. Was weirdly greeted by John M. I could tell from the start that he thought I was just a dumb young woman. Told me that the books were currently closed but he would "put me on his list to reach out to when the time comes" He also showed me a maverick he had on the lot and told me that someone order this and hasn't picked it up yet but when their grace period ends that he's going to mark it up $15k+. Like why tell someone that? Whatever. On my way out, the rest of the salesmen were standing by the door talking about a recent ufc fight that happened the night before. I tried to jump in the conversation to talk about the fight and all of them looked at me like I was stupid. All of them gave me weird vibes. Maybe change the salesmen rotation technique where you sit by the front and someone is on the door waiting. Gives creepy vibes. Fast forward to September, I saw online that books for the maverick were going to be opening soon. I decided to contact a different ford dealer and got an appointment to place my order the day the books open. Thank god I did. The books closed in less than a week and guess what? No contact from John at any point letting me know to come in and place an order. Moral of the story, stay far away. read more

Waiting over 2.5 hours to speak to someone to finalize a car purchase is absurd! They have only one person working on paperwork. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes while the person stapled papers from the previous sale and checked his personal phone under the desk, no doubt so that he wouldn't have to stay late. We are paying cash for a vehicle so why should it take this long? If it were up to me only, I'd leave and find another place to spend tens of thousands of dollars. read more

I sent these comments to the dealership as well as contacting Ford. Let me get straight to the point. I just returned from picking up my Ford Fiesta which was at your dealership for a parts recall. As you are aware, a customer must walk past the service bays to reach the service office located at the rear. I observed that the vast majority of your mechanics had their facemasks down under their chin, as if it were some kind of clothing accessory. Two of them walked past me at a relatively close distance. Even one of the managers inside the service office was not wearing his mask. Your gift to me was a feeling of profound anxiety, so thank you for that. I am truly dumbfounded by this level of ignorance. I could rant on for pages as to how utterly void of anything remotely approaching care and consideration for your customers, let alone the safety of your staff, but what would be the point. Willful stupidity of this magnitude is rarely influenced by something so mundane as 7.52 million Covid cases in the US as of this date and 210,000 dead Americans. I wonder how many of them died as a result of catching it from someone who just couldn't give a damn about the complete stranger they just killed. No, all I can do is to tell you that I will never do business with your dealership and I will share these thoughts with everyone I can possibly think of. Problem with brake job. They told me to come back in two weeks when the technician who worked on it was available to look at it because he got paid to do the job. Hahahaha What about the customer having a potentially dangerous situation "Brakes" and your not immediately trying to diagnose a repair your company did?......... Any "come back" repair takes priority over any current or pending repair. How about taking the C1 ASE test again for everyone working the service department. Luckily for Skyline Salem Service Department there is no Bureau of Automotive Repair to reprimand this. Taking to another Ford dealership. Good luck everyone currently at this location lol. Update Took to Keizer Ford location. They inspected the work and wouldn't release it because the brake shoe adjuster fell off and was rolling around in the drum. That was the noise and why the brakes were failing while driving. They got the parts and fixed it ASAP in 2 hours we were done. If we would have waited 2 weeks for Salem Skyline Ford what kind of accident could that have caused?............ read more

Polite no pressure sales, but be sure to give them a junk email when requesting a quote as my email exploded with advertising for everything after I dealt with Skyline. I didn't follow through as I don't see why the same type of vehicle is $15,000 more than the same type I bought in 2006. After 4 months I am coming back to leave a more honest review/warning about my car, and Skyline. My great unhappiness with my brand new Ford. This is my first new car, large car payments, interaction with salesman, and I very disillusioned about my entire experience. I really wanted to believe in Ford, help the economy, and feel safe while having fun in my very major purchase. I am currently leasing a Ford Focus Electric from Skyline Ford in Salem, Oregon. The sticker on the window said it would be equivalent to 105 miles. The salesman, told me I would, "average 80 miles." I said that one of my main journeys would be going home to Portland, often, which is about 60 miles away. He said, "No problem! You'll get there with plenty to spare, have dinner while it charges, and head home!"... Not even close. I am no longer able to go home, at all, without a ton of hoops to jump through, and this causes great emotional, and economical pain. After I was stranded twice from a dead battery, and absolutely no help from road side assistance as having the only option being "towed to a dealership" is utter nonsense. I needed it towed to an outlet! Luckily, my neighbors were outside the second time, and I asked them to help me push it close enough to my house that I could string some electric cords together. That was an incredibility hellish two days. Tow trucks, tears, having to pay for parking just to find out the one plug was already being used... stuck again and again. I went back to the dealer the next day, and wanted OUT. It was less than two weeks, and was only 127 miles in. I was more than willing to continue leasing another car, a hybrid hopefully, and continue on my way making payments, and living my life. I told him I wasn't getting the miles promised, and wanted a different car. I was told this was "impossible!" "His manager told him" the only way I could get out of it would be "an obscene amount of money," plus on, and on about how difficult it would be for them to write up new lease terms. What a hassle it would be for THEM! He wouldn't even tell me how much... just kept saying "obscene." He said, "I" had put HIM in a very awful, uncomfortable spot! So, he says there must be something wrong with the car. Bring it in, we'll do a diagnostic. While there, not only are they telling me there is nothing wrong with the car... the service guy is telling me, "Well ya, if you use the heat or anything else you're not going to get anywhere NEAR 70 or 80 miles!" Try to imagine my horror. No one told me you'll average 80 if... if if if... So I pick up the car, and am basically told, "Well, there's nothing wrong with the car..." so that's it. We're done here. I never heard from him again. The guy that acted like my good friend up until that point completely disappeared. Everyone there was so nice up until I needed help, and now you think I've heard anything from Ford, except robotic emails telling me how awesome Ford is, and all the "rewards I have" with Ford? I have had the car 4 months now, and am up to 1700 miles. I average 40-50 miles. I am really starting to hate that car that I pay so much for every month. I have been stranded twice more... Once in the worst winter storm Oregon had seen all year. Driving with my head out the window, because I couldn't use my defrost, because it would cut my miles IN HALF, and I wouldn't get anywhere near a charger. A charger that the app in my car will tell me is there, and won't be. I was stuck for hours soaking wet, in the snow, with no heat, ended up sick, missing days that I don't get paid for. Now, if I want to go home to Portland... I have to stop half way, find something to do, plan to stay the night while it charges, because I was also told that my car would charge "in a couple of hours." No... I have many pictures that even the car says it's going to take at least 20 hours to charge. Then, I still have to stop, and charge on my way home too! As you can imagine, I don't get out much now. I would like to move, and I can't even dream of trying to look for a job in a more populated city if it's 15-20 miles away! This is complete shit, and this car makes me so sad. The steering wheel is even lifted on one side like the air bag is going to explode in my face at any moment. Just within the last couple days one of the handles on the back door stopped working properly. I feel like I'm paying 300 a month for a toy car. I'm a teenager again... I "can" drive, but I still have to be home every day before dark. I felt so proud, and fancy when I took over those keys. Now I feel like royalty if I'm only going to the store, and can actually use the heat! I really, really wish someone to fix this. Amy B read more

UPDATE: The day after this review was posted, I was contacted by a Skyline Ford sales manager. He said there had been internal issues in accurately communicating to me what the dealership would have been willing to do to rectify the problem described below. After discussion, the issue--a missing programmable key which I had replaced at my own expense--was resolved with an offer to reimburse the cost I'd incurred getting a key made elsewhere. Both the service manager and I regretted that the situation was not settled prior to the review, but the problem is now resolved. ------------ This review is a bit long because I promised the dealership that I'd recite all of the details . . . I bought a Ford truck last week at Skyline Ford in Salem, Oregon. The people were pleasant, the truck was nice and it had been a decent experience. However, before signing any agreements, I asked my salesperson if two programmable keys came with the vehicle. He said yes, pointing to the key tag showing it was marked "2 of 2." I signed the papers and went to drive the truck home, but was told they couldn't find the second key, though my sales rep thought he knew where it was and would look for it. The next day, though, I was told that regardless of what the key tag said, there was no second key and they had never had one. I had included the value of the remote key when making my offer and didn't want to pay a few hundred dollars to buy a key I'd expected to have. I talked about my options with the sales rep, who told me that they wouldn't provide a new key and that I should buy one myself. Further, he said that what he had really told me was that there were two keys assuming they could find the second one. I then talked to the sales manager who repeated that they would not replace the key, but he would think about whether anything could be done. Skyline later offered to provide the key itself, but I would have to travel to them to have the key programmed (about a three hour time investment for me) and would need to pay for that programming. I was also told that I could have this deal after they saw that I had left a positive internet review of the dealership. I declined this offer. I've bought dozens of vehicles over the years and have dealt with perhaps twenty dealerships. Several of them, I'm convinced, would have tried to make me satisfied, offering me reimbursement for a new key programmed at a place convenient to me, perhaps recognizing that it would be unfair for me to bear the expense resulting from their mistake. But certainly others would not have helped, even if admitting that in no way was I to blame. So while I wasn't totally surprised by the way Skyline Ford handled my problem, I was disappointed. read more

Took both of our newer low-mile vehicles in for service on the same day and We wouldn't even offer a one star review to this "Service" department. $1200+ in tires, battery, wiper blades and oil change service on my 2013 Lincoln MKS. And oil change, grease and inspection for our F150. Where to begin? $60k custom ordered MKS (when new, now only 30k miles) Bought a set of tires from them and took it in for oil change. "Ma'am, we recommend you replace your battery" I authorized a new battery. Checked the new battery when I got home to find they did place it in the battery box but didn't bother to clean the box out, all kinds of road debris left in there. They DID NOT top off my fluids as was promised in their oil change service and now I wonder IF they did change my oil?! They didn't tell me my air cleaner was so dirty that it should be replaced, I had to discover this for myself. F150 (under 25k miles!) We had to take it to Valvoline the following weekend to get the oil changed as it was a quart low!!! They were supposed to grease and do a safety inspection also, none of which took place. Grease zerks weren't even disturbed, road grunge proves that! We recommend staying clear of this "Service" department. If you take your car to them, I'd stick around and inspect it yourself before you drive off. Super upset at these guys! I will update after I have a chat with the owner next week. read more

My experience with Skyline Ford was mixed but ultimately broken when they did not stand behind their commitments. Then they blamed me (for things that were entirely under their control). They deserve only one star in that they didn't charge us for their diagnostics. We took our truck in for a tune up and exhaust leak. They called and told us that we needed to replace the motor, the exhaust manifold were cracked on both sides, ball joints needed to be replaced, the 4 wheel drive unit wasn't working and a few other things. About $10,000 worth of fixes. We told them we need a second opinion. Took to another shop and had it checked out. It needs a tune up, the exhaust manifold had a crack on one side and broken bolts on the other. The ball joints are fine and the 4 wheel drive unit is working. Cost for repairs $1600 read more

My truck broke down in the Dalles after skyline Ford on commercial street after they worked on the fuel system, ( I called Tracey , he side " it might be the fuel pump". I was like ok. Well that Monday 8/23/21 the truck showed up on there lot. Then Tracey side he can't pay the tow bill and I would have to pay for the tow before they could start work on it! Then the truck was taken by the tow company only 24 hours after the fact! " I called 8/25/21 and Tracy to say I had the money and I was going to pay for it so he can start work well he then said " ur truck is GONE!" The tow company came back " with no permission to take the truck" the GM Octavia will not talk with me. Will not even listen to me. ( now on 9/20/21 I went to the tow company to pay the ( tow bill 580.00 and now it's 2425.00 and they wanted my money but yet can't bring my truck! So then octavia side " if it comes to be the fuel pump or other work they have done to my ford truck, they would " reimburse me for the tow" so WHERES MY TRUCK AND TOOLS! The tow company ( affordable towing company took 2500 dollars wroth of tools!) so I would NEVER NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! They don't listen to there customers. They will let ur car get stolen as well and when they get question about it they get all upset. But at the end of the day I'm out 8k and 10k worth of tile work Becase my tools where taken! read more

My husband and I recently took a road trip from Seattle to Portland in our 1987 F250. It was the first time we had it on the road for a long trip in 10 years and we knew it needed some work. Unfortunately it needed work on this trip. Tracy actually got is in on a Monday, the day we called. I couldn't believe it. The service was amazing and they actually found all of the parts that we needed. By Tuesday afternoon we were headed back to Seattle with new batteries, new water pump, new alternator, and working wind shield wipers. They also spent time informing us about the best way to maintain our Beast. Needless to say we were very pleased. read more

How they call themselves a top dealer is beyond me. Tracy the service manager is terrible, and has no idea on customer service or how to run a dept. I made the mistake of buyin my truck from them, recently had an oil change scheduled. Aftr 2 hours and no word I asked them what took so lo g, they said they were waiting for the oil to level. Wich was a lie and laughable. They didn't hav enough oil to do the change. All together it took almost 3 hours. And they charged me. When I called to talk about the prob they were rude and absolutely unapologetic. My friend that was with me was blown away they could run a business like that. So l recently brought my 2009 Ford Escape to skyline ford for a repair. I took it to them because they could get me in 4 days quicker than another dealership in the area. My appointment was on a Thursday morning at 8:30. I show up 10 minutes early and the service dept. tells me they will have an answer for me on the diagnosis by the afternoon. They said they would call me. So no call on Thurs. afternoon like they said, so l call Friday morning. The service dept say we couldnt get to it yesterday, we will get to it today. Again, another lie. They didn't even start the diagnosis until Tues. morning after my mom and l both went to the manger with the problem. I got treated poorly in my opinion for a 6,500.00 job until it was time for them too count the money. read more

Used their service earlier, now my Ford Explorer Limited is in the shop. 3nd week now for a needs a starter motor (which I knew and told them). Quoted me $550. for new. I checked 3 other shops, all were about $336. $214 lower and all said the Explorer would be ready the next day. Donofrio's Skyline Ford service stated after they had my SUV that they were overbooked. In any case way over priced, slow and borderline incompetent. They ordered the wrong part etc. 3rd week in and still not repaired. I checked in with the service manager. That first call was horrendous. they were angry, upset, and discourteous. They hung-up on me, then cancelled the part they had reordered and the repair appointment besides. They called be back later and we worked things out a little better...but, good grief. read more

I needed to get my recalled Air Bags installed. Called for a appt. was told it was a half day job. I know that's not the case and asked if I had my wife bring it in if she could wait. Minimum 2 hours was the response. No variable. I called Landmark Ford who has always done me right and she just got the airbags installed in & out in under 45 min. Moral of the story.
