    Night View of Skyline Plaza

This mall is a nice reminder of home when I am traveling in Europe. It is a rather crass aspect of home life in that it brings to mind the over-the-top consumerism that typifies American culture. But when one is on a long journey, any reminder can be positive if viewed as such. This mall, once you walk inside, is very similar to ones you would find in the US. Many of the shops are the same although there are some that are more associated with Europe. I typically go in to patronize the Starbucks, which allows me to experience the mall atmosphere without being obliged to shop. It's also a nice place to get in a few steps if the weather is less than desirable. In addition, there are a couple of good restaurants on site that make favorable lunch or dinner destinations. The location of this place also makes it a frequent stop for me when I'm in Frankfurt. It is rather close to the Hauptbahnhof and to the hotels I often frequent when I'm in town. On my last trip, it was an easy walk for me to have a coffee or dinner here. In general, if you would like to grab a coffee, get dinner or take a shopping break, this is a great choice. The environment is pleasant and it provides a quick option for a breather if your means of relaxation involves one of those things I mentioned. It also provides a nice change of pace just to take a stroll, if you don't mind doing so via Mall walking.

Great Mall! Really enjoyed walking around! Had an awesome American Expat store with things I hadn't had in years! So that was nice! There's also a Chipotle across from a Starbucks and a Gamestop. The garden area looks like it will be very nice in the spring but it was very cold and rainy when I went up and took a peek. There are lots of great food options too!

Skyline Mall is 1 of Frankfurts largest malls that I've seen. It has quite a few American stores and thats comforting. The food court is amazing Oooh Em Geee! The choices are endless. Then there's treats on other floors as well. We went 2 different days just to get a taste of The Bunt. There gourmet waffles were superb. Freshly made, warm, drizzled with your choice of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla chocolate, strawberry chocolate, nutella and the options go on. Then you can top it offvwirh fresh fruit choices and then the ice cream toppings list as well. #Scrumpdealiocious

Opened officially on August 29, 2013, the oval-shaped shopping center is nice and clean. Most major retailers are represented. The food court with dozens of restaurants is massive offering a wide variety of cuisine available to choose from. With about 2,400 parking spaces, it has around 170 specialist shops and service providers on a sales area of 38,000 m². The opening hours are from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm. It has a unique attraction of a public park-like area on top of the building with a restaurant, a playground, and a green garden. To relax during the shopping trip, head up to the Skyline Garden on the rooftop of the mall. The area around the Skyline Plaza has developed into a high-rise cluster in recent years. The view from the roof to the surrounding skyscrapers is also good. I recommend an undisturbed shopping spree. It is easily accessible by public transport, close to the train station, and has a bicycle storage facility. The Skyline Plaza is a medium-sized shopping center by Frankfurt standards.

I need a psychiatrist or someone in the field of brain examination to tell me my problem. I have a sense of Central vision when it comes to malls like Skyline Plaza. I will probably pass by many of the stores within the mall and think nothing of it; never remember the name, just know that it sells clothes or it's a drug store. Yes, Skyline Plaza has stores like that and many, many, many of them because it's a mall. I came here for one reason only and that was for Chipotle Mexican Grill but discovered everything else (partially). It's address was here and I am like "oh, it's at Skyline Plaza". I heard of Skyline Plaza before. And on my first trip to Frankfurt it was on my list of places to visit, omitted because it is a mall. I'm back and I'm at Skyline Plaza because Chipotle's is here. And that's that. My Central vision on malls notices this: yes, there's a bunch of stores to visit and buy stuff. I visited three levels. The ground has a drug store, a McDonald's, clothing store, spa, cigar shop, a Nordsee (seafood restaurant), fruit store, chocolate shop, Asian restaurant, Rewe (supermarket), Starbucks and really I believe other stores. Now to come to think of it, it's mostly food and a few shops. The second level is more food. And then you have the awesomeness on the upper level of Skyline Garden. Tip: Don't come here on a Sunday, everything is closed except: McDonald's, Chipotle's, Starbucks and Skyline Garden. Note 1: The restroom is 50cent Euros to use, like almost everywhere in cities in East Europe. Note 2: It's only a 10 minute walk from the Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof. But there's a 3 minute walk from Skyline Plaza to the train stop. Note 3: There's a level for Parking but I have no idea how that works. All in all a good experience for hanging out with friends, eating, buying stuff and to take children.

My first day in Frankfurt, I was delighted to find a mall that had everything I needed. Located in the Gallus area, Skyline Plaza was only a 5-7 minute walk from the Meininger hotel as well as other hotels located along the same street. The mall had a DM- Drogerie markt and a Rewe located inside the mall on the first level which allows you to buy forgotten toiletries, snacks and beverages if your on a budget. It is also conveniently located near the train station festhalle/messe which could easily get you to the center of Frankfurt. The best part of the Skyline Plaza is the view from the Sky Garden. There's no charge to go up there unless there is a event but it does give you a glimpse of Gallus at panoramic views. There is also plenty of food options inside the mall especially if you're becoming acquainted with the city for the first time. One last thing for those that aren't accustomed to caring change it's a good idea to have some loose coins laying around as the bathroom use is not free!
