Building management is not responsive to tenants. Constant maintenance issues that go months without being fixed. Very poor experience. Several tenants have moved out in recent months due to the inability of management to properly service the building. read more

I bought my house about a year ago, I don't know why I never thought to review this place before. My Husband and I were first time buyers and 5 months pregnant so you could say we were in a bit of a time pinch wanting to be settled before the baby came. I contacted Skyward and worked with Joe Jacobs. Joe took our wants and needs into consideration and immediately started compiling personalized lists of houses that he would email me a few times a week. The moment a new house came on the market that looked like it would fit us he would let me know. Joe was also very accommodating with our schedules, and would take me around to look at all the houses and from there we would narrow down a list to show my husband ( He works about 60 hours a week so not a lot of spare time to house hunt!) He even helped us mediate over houses ( I had to have a dining room and a nice yard, husband had to have big garage or basement.) Joe helped us to find the house that was perfect for our growing family and once we found it he sat down and helped us understand and assemble all the paperwork that we needed. I felt like I received a personalized experience and one that made the intricacies of buying a house feel simple and manageable. This will be our second time working with the Skyward Group. We work with a realtor by the name of Josh Taylor who is really nice. Sometimes he is really busy, so you might have to call him back 1 or 2 times before you get ahold of him. He will do whatever he can to find the type of place you are looking for and will negotiate rental rates (definitely saved us a few hundred dollars a month). I would recommend using this company f you are looking to rent or to buy a home. read more

In 5 years of renting apartments in various cities (in Michigan and beyond), I have never had as bad of an experience as I have with Skyward Real Estate. The apartment I am renting uses Skyward as a property manager, and they could not be less responsive. Getting the keys on a weekend was a nightmare. When I moved into the apartment, it was filthy. Food in the fridge and caked on the oven and microwave. Stains on the carpet. Mold in the shower. I complained that it wasn't cleaned, and they sent someone over who did a minimal job. This is after charging each resident $200 as a cleaning fee to cover cleaning after moving out. In addition, the holes in the walls were never patched from the previous tenant. The dishwasher leaks. Many of the specialty lights have burnt-out bulbs in the apartment. After over two weeks of complaining, still nothing has been fixed. Moreover, they apparently don't believe in responding to emails. I even sent an email asking about putting utilities into my name, and never got a response. Only when I sent another email a week later asking again about utilities did I finally get a response - probably because the landlord was going to be paying for my utilities due to their failure. If you can, stay away from renting with Skyward. I don't say this lightly, as this is my first ever negative review. read more

Skyward was referred to me by the mortgage company we were working with. My husband and I have been working with Matt, and I just can't say enough about the excellent service. I've met a few people in the office and they've all been very kind and easy to work with. My calls and e-mails are returned promptly and I feel like I'm working with friends, not just business partners. I'll almost be sad when the process is over! I would recommend Skyward to anyone looking for an agent in the Royal Oak area. read more

We just bought our first house and we HIGHLY recommend Jennifer Stillwagon! She was absolutely wonderful to work with, very professional, personable and she strives to accommodate! As first time home buyers we had no clue what we were doing and had high anxiety about it; Jen was patient and thorough with us, she helped us to distinguish exactly what we were looking for in a house, and then she found us an amazing house! Throughout the process Jen made a huge effort to accommodate, asking us when we were available to look at more houses, and made herself available to fit our crazy schedules - she really let us know she was there for us. Among her many amazing qualities is her patience w/ clients & willingness to explain things and make sure you really do understand what is going on. Do yourself a favor and don't even begin a process with these people. They never call you back or give you updates. When the sale of my house didn't happen they didn't think of calling and letting me know why...they just went and pulled the sign. Oh wait they did give me the number to the title company to call them. When I polled the Realtors that were on the buyers side they said they were the worst they had ever dealt with. I even called the owner of Skyward and he didn't have the ethics to even call me back. Just don't do it!!! read more
