    Hot Lobster Roll
    Emma W.

I came here with one goal in mind. Try lobster for the first time in my life (I'm only 25). I got the Hot Lobster Roll not knowing what to expect. For about $30 you get a soft roll with lobster chunks, fries and a lemon slice. No drink but I knew that in advance from looking at other Yelp reviews. My sandwich wasn't very hot but kinda luke warm, not a big deal. The lobster wasn't fishy, but it had a very mild flavor that I don't know how to describe and you could really taste the sweetness of the roll. The lemon slice really enhanced the whole experience, I'm glad it was there. The item description on the menu says it's dipped in butter but I couldn't taste it. All in all it was very pretty and striking but not as flavorful as I anticipated. The fries were good & they had fry sauce which was a win for them in my books! The location was clean but definitely had a strong fishy odor which I read from another Yelper. Our service was fine, fast casual style. Where you order at the register and then sit down with a number and they bring you your food.

Yeah, this place SLAPS. We don't have restaurants like this where I'm from. A walk up and order, fairly quick, seafood place. We've been here a couple times while in town visiting friends and try to make it a point to come here each time we're there. We did notice a couple of menu changes since we've been last, but honestly, what do I care? The lobster roll is still there, and that's all that matters to me! One thing I can say is that the service has seemed to slowly decline a bit each time we've come here. Not sure if the ownership has changed, or just the management, but I'm not sure I've come across much more disinterested staff at a restaurant in awhile. In any case, the food here is good, the concept is good, and I hope they continue to grow positively and maybe even make their way to us in Northern California.

This place might have the most below- par lobster roll I have had in Utah. Huge disappointment. I would have given it a 2 star, but the fries were the only superb part. Trying to get silverware or napkins is a hassle. You have to ask for it even when they bring the food. Just have it out. Clam chowder. Ok. Kinda tastes like it might be Progresso from the can at the grocery store. But adding bacon and oyster crackers made it better. Not very flavorful until I added hot sauce. Lobster roll.....I only ate the whole thing because I was starving after being at the lake all day. Considering they only had 3 people working and there were no customers besides me and my kid, they could have put more effort into it. Was the driest lobster roll ever. Got the hot one. Dry lobster. Had to ask for lemons just to make it more moist. They definitely didn't use butter. Maybe have that out too! Finally the slaw. The worst!!!!! I am so very sorry, I would have rather went to KFC for their slaw. Dry. It tasted basically like shaved purple cabbage with a dollop of Mayo or something. You could make this pretty amazing, but it was so bland. I will go to Freshies next time.

We're so obsessed with this place that the phone never gets to eat first. Deliciously flavored fish and healthy options. It's always super fast and the workers have great suggestions if you're not sure what you want! It's usually our first or last stop during a shopping day at the outlets. The vibe and location can't be beat!

I really am so obsessed with this place! So so good. It really is a hidden gem that no one talks about. My favorite is their mahi mahi voyage bowl. Fresh, filling, and so delicious!!

Seared Ahi Tacos. Good amount of fish, and yummy toppings. They come with chips and salsa which were not good.

Kind of disappointed. We went to Slapfish tonight after having not been there in a while. The menu is completely and entirely different. It used to be New England comfort food. Now it's more California Coastal. They still have Lobster rolls for about $27. It comes with a small pile of fries. there's only a couple other things left from the original menu. The thing I always order is no longer available. They have the lobster roll, clam chowder, fish & chips, and what used to be called the clobster grilled cheese. Now it's called lobster and crab melt. That said, I ordered the tacos with seared Ahi and and the sesame soy sauce, and they were quite tasty. They come with chips and salsa, which aren't very good. The chips are kind of thick and the salsa is kind of tasteless, but has a funny taste at the same time. Absolutely no heat. They do not allow substitutions at all. So, you're stuck with a side you don't like. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts side. It was just ok. It needed more sauce. My husband also ordered the tacos after deciding he couldn't stomach $27 for a small sandwich and little bit of fries, and he liked them a lot. Our friend ordered the bowl with grilled shrimp and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sad they got rid of my favorites, but I would go back for the ahi tacos. The poke bowl looked pretty good too.

Took myself out on a little late Fri afternoon lunch date and boy did I pick a good spot! Hahaha 5s on the food, the ambiance, and the company! I ordered the hot lobstah roll- definitely recommend and appreciate them flyin that bad boy all the way over here for me! The meat was savory, the roll was fluffy and buttery like it should be, and although I was bummed they forced me to get the fries instead of tossing a few lettuce leaves for a side salad on there, the fries were super tasty, too. Do recommend they level up their options there- I just want some lettuce leaves with mah sweet lobstah roll! Overall definitely made me look forward to a next date!

The cod tacos are definitely my favorite thing to get here. The kids food looked really good and fresh so i might need to try the kids menu out the employees are so kind informative and patient. The tables are quickly cleaned and it's cute inside. Also I think teachers eat free all of may if I'm not wrong and kids are free on Tuesdays or Thursdays I don't remember. I love that they give back to the community

I think Slapfish is one of my favorite restaurants! We have tried many things on the menu. My personal favorite is the fried shrimp roll, it's crispy and juicy and perfect! Get it with the Jersey sauce (white sauce). My husband loves the fish and chips or street tacos (getting 3 seem to be the perfect amount). One of us always upgrades our side to be chowder fries and then we split them. They are delicious. Not too fishy, and they blend with the fries in perfect harmony. Everything at slapfish tastes fresh and bright, with a wonderful flavor packed in! Definitely one of my go-to spots for a nicer-but not sit down- style meal!

Awesome place! Went with a large group of people and they had our food out quickly and it was all so delicious. I had the fish tacos with the spicy aioli sauce. Also enjoyed the availability of several juices other than soda. Will be back!

Loved this so much came back but to the Lehi location. The salad is less filling than the bowl but still tasty.

    Fish & Chips
    Tatiana W.

Really great fish and chips! (I love that it's cod and not catfish haha) The fries were still warm and the fish was flaky! I absolutely loved their house tartar sauce (I wish they would have served more of it though.) The service was a little slow, and curt at the register, but they were still accommodating. The restaurant was relatively empty, but clean and open. The menu items were reasonably priced, slightly on the higher end of what I would pay for fries and fried fish, but it was really great quality! I think it's one of the best fish and chips options for Utah by far!

    Grilled Fish Taco
    Carrie O.

Clear menu, good food. Be sure to ask about the fish of the day. We love their double fist fish burrito, fish and chips, and The Clobster. So why three stars? They may be wearing masks but we watched kitchen help pull their masks under their chins when they thought no one was watching. I signaled to one as he came out of the kitchen to pull his mask over his nose. But as soon as he went into the kitchen, that mask came down again. No matter how you feel about masks, it is a mandate and your establishment can get docked. Not to mention that customers are watching.

However for a second we were a little confused about what was considered shareable versus a one person dish, but our server was amazing and stayed to explain everything to us. (Apparently most are shareable depending on your appetite) We added a couple drinks to our tab. I tried the blended specials margarita with tajin on the rim and my husband ordered a blended Sex on the Beach. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 only because the bendy heart straws were super cute but kind of a mess to drink out of. We also ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab shots. They weren't anything too special but the flavor was still decent. Both my kids ordered from the kids menu and I was honestly impressed by how good their food looked. My son had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and my daughter ordered the chicken wings. The portions were great and the quality was impressive. Truthfully it is one of the better kids menus I've seen in a while. 10/10 no notes. Now for the main event. My husband ordered the #Crabfam Classic and I built my own boil with snow crab, mussels, head off shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. We both chose the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at a medium heat level and we were not disappointed. I have not had seafood this good in Utah. Florida girl here with a semi San Francisco husband, so I would say we have standards. The seasoning was perfect and the shrimp was cooked just right. The spice level was spot on, but I think I could have gone even hotter. At the end of it all it only cost $140ish for a full family of 4 and that included drinks, imo a great price for what you get! The overall vibe of the place was great, I drive past this spot all the time and never see many people there. If you are in American Fork or near Lehi High, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great ambience, friendly staff, a menu broad enough to satisfy any mood, and food that delivers on what it promises. This one has earned a regular spot in my rotation. For a good price, you get miso soup, white rice, pork gyoza, and tempura vegetables, and then choose two items from a list that includes chicken, rolls, and sashimi. The gyoza and tempura alone are worth calling out, both done well. I went with the spicy tuna roll and steak teriyaki and did not regret either choice. Now for the rolls. The Spicy Masa and Fire Breathing Dragon round out my personal top three and I have yet to be disappointed by any of them. We ordered filet mignon, and it was very dry and overcooked. At the end, when he was cleaning the grill, the soapy water went all over the table where our food was.
