There are tons of options, including many vegetarian ones, and I have yet to try a dish that wasn't beautifully made, with balanced, light flavors. There are lots of beans, lentils, vegetables, yogurt-based sauces, olives, cheeses, stews, bread, tea, three or four variety of starchs--rice, couscous, bulgur, etc-, burek, fried stuff, baked stuff, boiled stuff.... Sometimes, if I need to eat one meal in a day, I'll go here. Second: the people that work here come from various places--Turkey, Lebanon, Germany, Cuba...ALL of them (that I've met) are friendly, generous, and welcoming (and patient as I point at the different foods to pile my plate with!). The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome: a clean, simple yet warm vibe, classical music playing, and a back room where you can look onto the back yard. Third: you are getting ALL of this for either 7 or 9 Euro. I come from NYC, where one can easily--and in fact often does--pay twice that amount for food half as good. SUPPORT places like this, that offer lovingly made, healthy, delicious food for good prices....this is my favorite restaurant BY FAR in the neighborhood, and there are many other good ones here. We had artfully presented dong bau beef (kung pao in U.S.) and stir fried shrimp, pork and chicken with vegetables. Each plate cost under 20 Euro. Seems you can't really eat in Germany without beer, and we found out it goes with all kinds of cuisine--even Chinese. I was surprised when we got a takeout box that it was stryofoam. That was the first piece of stryofoam I saw in Germany. Took off a star for that because Europe seems so very environmentally progressive. Highly recommend this place for a great change of pace in this interesting city.

The owner came over and spoke to us. He came here 40 years ago from Hong Kong. You can tell from the pictures that we had a scrumptious dinner and good German beer and wine. The Mojito was almost a work of art. The restaurant itself gave us a very upscale Chinese restaurant experience. All in all if you're in Berlin and near this "off the beaten path" restaurant, it's a must do.

I ordered the chicken platter and I think it came out to be around 10 Euros which isn't bad at all for dinner. The platter came with tons of chicken, sauce, fresh vegetables like tomatoes and red bell peppers. For the price that you pay, you get a lot of delicious food. However, I did notice that the man who took my order taking out prepped chicken from the microwave. I don't know if the chicken I ate went into the microwave but honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. It tasted good. I recommend this place for anyone looking to get some tasty Lebanese food at a good price.
