Pillows and mattress are comfortable, which to me is important. I slept very well. The nightstands each had outlets. There was a nice place to lay suitcases. The desk and chair were comfortable and fully functional. The TV worked well. There is a fridge and coffee maker. The closet is behind a full length mirror which was cool and a secret type door. The bathroom had a nice vanity and the shower was a good size. Not the kind where the shower curtain sticks to you. This is a good spot for a reasonable rate in Grand Island, Nebraska if you're passing through!!!

First, the front desk employee assigned us a non adjoining room even though I confirmed upon check in that we would have one and she said yes. We drag all our baggage up to the third floor only to find out it wasn't adjoining. We have to have one because one of our kids is special needs. Then we come to check into second room (having To drag six people's luggage back downstairs) and get adjoining rooms and we are told we're going to get ANOTHER $100 hold even though it was waived literally two days prior. The owner says that there are no exceptions and that it physically couldn't be done which was a blatant lie since they had done it two days before. And on top of all that the hotel charged us for the room which was supposed to be paid for with our IHG points because my husband is a diamond elite member. So we are now out almost $200 in addition to a total of $200 in hold fees on a credit card. If you're staying in GI or an IHG member I would suggest staying at another IHG hotel in the area!

Location wise it's very close to coffee shops, shopping, and entertainment. It was about 10 minute from the state fair grounds. I am truly at a loss of words. Despite the hotel restaurant losing our order and taking over 2.5 hours to deliver our food to the table with a half full restaurant, one staff member was overheard complaining that our family was being difficult to work with... While we appreciated the meal being comped....nearly all the food order was wrong and the food was incredibly under cooked. As we departed to relax in the lobby, my two elderly aunts in their 70's and uncle in his 60's were told to vacate the couches we sat on to relax after a horrible experience at the restaurant because "the area was closed". We were threatened with a security guard almost immediately saying "Do you want a visit from the police. I can arrange that for you folks". I have never left a negative review in my life; even for poor service I have experienced in the past. But this experience has been beyond words and there is nothing this facility can do to correct this. It is shameful and unacceptable a business can operate this way and I hope this review can make a difference.
