These 5-stars are for respiratory tech Brittany ONLY - she is a wonderful representation of what this company should be like. In 2015 SCS was very good, but since then has taken a nose dive to sub-0. A few years ago I was tempted to leave SCS, then came covid, and last year I met Brittany, an extremely friendly, professional, customer caring person who desires to help and help educate those of us in need of oxygen equipment. Since that time I've had several interactions with Brittany and she consistently demonstrates these qualities - she's a definitely the only asset plus the only reason I remain with SCS. As for SCS, this company never answers or returns phone calls - except for Brittany. If Brittany leaves so will I. read more

Serious problems with their billing department. I am very glad I had them bill me and I sent them a check rather than giving them a credit card!! I feel I have been way overcharged and they will still not give me an accounting of charges. Now they want to take me to collections for $46 when I feel they owe me a refund. Have talked to the office SEVERAL times to no avail. Poor customer service. Have advised pulmonologist to use different company. read more

I moderate a large COPD site. I have dealt with every major 02 company out there, as well as a lot of the little guys. Sleepcare Source gets 10 stars. They are beyond outstanding. I had my equipment the day after the doctor put in the order, and the RT spent quite a bit of time making sure I understood and was comfortable with everything. Every time I have contacted them, service has been almost instantaneous. I have yet to meet an RT that is not a rock star, but these ones go above and beyond. I am SO glad I told my doctor that Lincare tried to kill me (see Lincare review), and he ordered my Trilogy from Sleepcare Source. read more

Service was terrible as was the billing department. I hadn't received supplies in awhile so I called and they said that they had fixed the issue. More time goes by and no supplies and I called again. This time they said that my doctor needed to send chart notes before they could send supplies. (There was no internal coordination on this or contacting me to let me know there was an issue. Very poor process.) Finally, that got resolved and then the billing department sent me a bill saying they had not received any payment from Medicare or my Medicare supplemental insurance. In fact they had cashed a check for the full amount. After many phone calls, my insurance company had to send them a copy of the cashed check before the charges were removed from the bill. I asked several times on different dates to speak to the manager but the manager refused to speak to me, even when I was in their office in person. Avoid this company and go to California Sleep Solutions. read more

I used this company for quite a while and things were fine. Recently, I tried to reach them or order supplies. After calling the main line and the supplies line I couldn't reach a person - only a recording to leave information for a call back. I left a message for a callback but never received one. I called again and stayed on the line which was the option as opposed to requestng a call back only to receive a recording at the end of my wait to tell me someone would call me back but no one did. I have since switched to another company for my supplies. One that answered on my first call and took care of everything needed to switch suppliers. read more

I got a Philips Respironics CPAP machine from Sleepcare about 5 years ago. Having had an unpleasant experience with a different machine and mask from another vendor, I was very happy. My new CPAP setup worked quite well and I have grown comfortable with it. Then Sleepcare telephoned to notify me that I was eligible for improved equipment under a voluntary recall notice. They explained the necessary steps and gave me an appointment to come in for the exchange. Through all this, they were very patient and courteous. I arrived a few minutes early, walked into their office and immediately wondered if there was a loud carpet cleaner or some power tool operating inside. I quickly realized it was a small cabinet alongside the wall was making the noise, like a freestanding air conditioner might. In any event, it was loud. Very uncomfortably loud. Preposterously so. There were no other patients around. Only employees, silent behind their glass windows. I called out to one that the noise was torturous, eliciting an only amused chuckle. When a woman came out and called my name, I asked her to repeat it, because I sure couldn't tell. She was efficient and cordial and completed the machine upgrade in just a few minutes. I then asked why they had such a horribly unpleasant sound for the patients to endure in the waiting area and she blithely responded, "Oh, the white noise machine? That's to muffle confidential patient information employees might discuss." She was not impressed when I noted that hospitals and medical clinics manage without. In more than 70 years of modern living, the only times I have encountered such a cacophony in a care setting were those seated beneath a dental drill. Oddly, when I went to get the original machine, another patient got the same orientation at a table with me and our respective companions. No great privacy concerns then, though perhaps we gave formal consent first. All that said, I do still like the machine very much and have no plans to go elsewhere. read more

I do have a choice in supply businesses and will not ever do any with this company! These folks have no customer service at all. The phone is the worst. The call is answered by a recording and it is NEVER answered. Even when you're asked to leave a message it will just disconnect. I received my Philips Respironics Dream Station CPAP machine from Sleepcare Source in July 2017. The Dream Station machine has been recalled by the FDA. I was never notified by Philips or Sleepcare Source. When I called to ask about the recall I was told by the person answering the phone "it's not our responsibility" and she laughed. I bought a new ResMed machine from a dealer out of state out of pocket. Sleepcare Source staff are unprofessional. When I got my machine in 2017 I had an appointment to set up the machine. There was another patient at that appointment also getting the same machine. At the end of the appointment the other patient asked if he could try a different mask. The technician told him he didn't have time, the appointment was over. It was lunch time for the technician. Try all the other CPAP dealers in Sacramento before settling for this uncaring company. read more

I've definitely tested this business patience and they have passed my expectations, we have had ti switch machines a few times . Robin and Alex are totally awesome technicians, great at explaining everything and very professional they exceed my expectations. They will and have done everything in their power to make my mother's quality of life better. If I had any constructive criticism it would be a more customer friendly automated answering selection, friendlier people answering the phones and I am shocked just shocked that a breathing/respiratory company has Glade Plugins inside the office. I haven't looked yet but plan to and I believe this is a violation of code for a respiratory company. I know for a fact the pulmonary doctor's office doesn't allow any scents. read more

Can't say enough about how great these people are. Destiny worked so hard to coordinate with my 91 year old mom's doctor's office to meet her needs. Noah delivered her oxygen machines and explained how to use everything in a clear, patient manner. They have 24/7 access for any needed assistance. Highly recommend them. read more

Horrible service and I just found out they don't take blue Cross a fact that they failed to mention. The person that I meant with originally acted like she was doing me a favor. Granted I was late, and it was a group session for an 1-1/2 hours for a 15 minute appointment so she took me separately, but I have dealt with California sleep solutions for 5 years now my son uses them my husband uses them and they are very nice and they don't set up group appointments,they take Blue Cross. I'm calling today to switch all my items that I have left with this outfit which is only the oxygen machine because I switched my supplies to California sleep because this place just never responded so I will be done with them I'm still pissed that they didn't tell me they don't take Blue Cross my insurance pays but I have to pay half because you're not an in-network provider read more

I received a bill for the first time from Sleep Source 8 months after starting business with them, though apparently I owned them for my insurance deductibles. They continued to send me product while I was unknowingly building up the debt. Had they billed promptly I would have ended the relationship with Sleep Source before receiving additional product and costs. Throughout the 8 months Sleep Source would call me and say "You are eligible for new product", I was unaware the bill was adding up. I feel that the medical supply business makes the products for pennies and charges dollars. My advice regarding Sleep Source LLC. is for the patient to keep an eye on the billing process. read more

Absolutely useless company that does not provide any level of decent care after the sale is made. Whatever you do, do not use Sleepcare Source. They are asleep at the switch. By that I mean, they are closed most hours of the day. If you ask for support and someone does call, he or she will have no idea about how to help. Using their machine I have had oxygen levels drop to 80%. When I asked for help, I got someone who knew about billing but nothing about the machine. I was told to get the "app". I tried. My machine is "not compatible" with the "app". So what I was told to do in fact was wrong. The wrong information from the wrong person at the Sleepcare Source. Again, go to another company that provides after the sale support. You are going to need it. These guys just don't care. read more

I had some recent interaction with Sleepcare. I am a sleep professional and was helping a family friend to navigate the sleep health system, i.e. sleep center, reports, DME for a new diagnosis of sleep apnea The matter was somewhat urgent to get CPAP prior to pacemaker surgery and to make sure that he has it in the recovery room. Kristie was so very responsive to my inquiries and communicative, it was a pleasure. They were able to get him an appt right away for CPAP set up. Overall a good experience. read more

After reading the reviews on SleepCare Source and other Medicare contracted CPAP providers I must say I was a bit apprehensive about starting my therapy. My physician picked SleepCare Source to send the order for my machine and supplies, so I didn't really have any input into the process. But based on the marginal reviews the other providers I figured it wasn't going to make much difference. I got my machine just about a month ago and I am wondering what all the complaining and griping was about???? My experience with SleepCare Source has been excellent from the very beginning. The person who called to set up my appointment was very professional and accommodating as I was going to be on vacation and wouldn't be able to get in for few weeks. When I arrived a group of three new patients were invited into a conference room where a machine and paperwork had been set up according the orders for each of us. Our instructor, Mitch, had done this many times, so he was very organized and hit on the important topics in sequence. He was patient and answered all our questions and invited us to call if we had any questions or issues once we got home and as we initiated our therapy. I did have an issue with the nasal mask that I was given to start. It had a small amount of hard plastic inside the soft silicone pillows. Unfortunately there wasn't enough pillow to keep the plastic from gouging the bridge of my nose. Not a problem with the mask. I just like to roll around a lot when I sleep. When I called, I was scheduled for a visit with Issac within 2 hours. Issac quickly determined the problem and brought out a couple of options for a replacement mask one of which is soft and won't cause any damage. Over the course of the first three weeks of CPAP therapy, I found that I would wake up during the night with a dry mouth. Again I called and Mitch answered the phone. He patiently explained why this was happening and gave me some options to try to mitigate the problem. Again great service. Based on my experience. I don't know why others have posted such negative reviews for SleepCare Source. I suppose some of it is to do with all the rules and regulations imposed by Medicare and managed care health plans. But this isn't SleepCare Source's problem and I have found them to be very helpful in dealing with my insurance coverage. If you are going to start CPAP therapy, I would highly recommend SleepCare Source. If you have a managed care program, just relax and let them try to work things our for you. read more

Billing took one year for some items to get to me. I have a cafeteria plan for healthcare but by the time I received the bill it was too late to put the money aside. Also, I was charged $350 for the headgear for my CPAP machine which was not covered by my insurance. I went to Amazon and bought everything for $50. I hadn't heard anything from them in 2016 and received a bill totaling over $1000 in 2017 and the last item charged was over 6 months earlier. I had problems in 2016 trying to get supplies with unanswered phone calls numerous times to Destiny and others. Expensive and poorly run operation, go elsewhere. read more
