I thought the store was just a supermarket which it is. But it also says clothing and other caribou merch for sale. The produce looked OK. A good store to pick up while you're on your way home from work. I was able to find lemon juice and lime juice and small containers which I prefer. They had a large variety of meats and a variety of other items for sale. Check out they had a little bakery and homemade stuff I of course bought the whoopy pies was a mocha one which had good taste not a huge fan of coffee, but it was good. The one that threw me away was the one they meet in house. It seemed like two brownie sandwiches with really good cream inside. The staff were very helpfully taking even had somebody to bag my items. It also do a drawing weekly, which you have to check on Facebook to see if you won. Very nice surprised when I was done checking out. read more

Have never visited the store but they have terrible shipping service. We were wintering in Florida and wanted to send Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips and whoopie pies to family in New York for Valentines Day. Found the store online and ordered $65 worth on Feb. 5th, figuring it would provide plenty of time however, they never shipped until Feb. 12th or 13th and they neglected to even send the whoopie pies. Emailed and called and they basically said they were overlooked. They offered to send them the next day or receive a refund; family was waiting for them so of course I wanted them sent but they should have given the refund AND still sent them. Sleeper's Market is located at the corner of Hwy 1 and Lyndon St in Caribou. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this general store is the epitome of a shop from bygone days. Sleeper's has been a family-owned store since 1914. They have adjusted to the current health situation with Covid and offer curbside pickup. This is a one-stop-shop including groceries, fresh produce, meat/seafood, baked goods, local Maine favorites, and souvenirs. Not to mention the endless selection of cold-weather gear; boots, coats, sweaters, pants, socks, hats, gloves, and scarves. Thirsty? Pop in for your favorite cold drinks, beer, wine, and spirits. I love, love, love this store. Amazing staff, I was new in town and had no idea what time the store closed was downstairs with a friend who was shopping for a winter coat. The store closed and they never said a word, they stayed over and helped us. That was my first experience with this super friendly staff. Now every time I go in they know me by name. This is a small country store with great brands like Patagonia, NorthFace, Columbia, Ugg and Timberland. Great prices, great selection. Is also a great little neighborhood grocery store with fresh baked bread and sweets. I will miss this place when I leave. read more
