We got the wet suits and booties which was only like $7/person total. I'd highly recommend getting it. Kept us warm. We did that Level 3-4. My kids are 16 and 19 and loved every bit and want to do it again. I felt like the level 3-4 was doable though we had some close calls. Out of the 6 raft's no one went over. Theses guides are skilled. The time is exhilarating and serene at the same time. You get to to tip your guide after. We also choose to get a digital photo which the photographer does an incredible job capturing our moments. After you get to enjoy some of the best hot chocolates in town or coffee. This establishment is legit. It's a bit pricey after everything is done but so worth the experience with the family!

We prepaid $458, woke up before dawn, drove 90 minutes, and stood in the cold, pouring rain before 7AM on a street corner with no shelter, waiting for this company's so-called Yellowstone National Park day trip. The tour van NEVER showed. We called repeatedly. "Michael" kept brushing us off -- "She's only 2 minutes late... she has other stops" -- and told us to just keep waiting. One full hour in the rain later, we asked for a refund. His solution? "Come back tomorrow." (As if we had nothing better to do than waste another vacation day waiting on a sidewalk.) The next day, they denied our refund. To add insult, the "guide" claimed she drove past us THREE TIMES and had "witnesses." Yet never called us -- despite having our phone numbers -- then blamed us for "missing" the pickup! She even admitted this happens often... then hung up on us. BOTTOM LINE: * No-show Yellowstone pickup * No way to reach actual guide/driver * ZERO customer service -- only excuses * NO refund Save yourself the headache and heartbreak. He chuckled at me and said, "It's only 7:02, there are multiple vans" so I and two other passengers waited. We ended up making multiple phone calls to Michael and he could not tell us what was going on or why no one was coming back for us. We finally left at 8am. We waited for an hour, and never saw another van like the one I saw when initially pulling up. Now, the owner Sunny will not refund our money and is making up lies about circling back 3-4 times and couldn't find us. That she has a van full of people who signed affidavits stating she did this. We were on the corner, able to see the main and side road the whole time. That did not happen. Just refund our money, admit there was a mistake made. Be professional. Look at the 1-star reviews on Google. Seems to happen fairly often.

What stood out most to us was how incredibly knowledgeable he was. He taught us about Edgar Howell and the history of the bison population in the park, how to differentiate coyotes from foxes, the Bubbly Paint Pot--how it was formed and became a giant sulfuric acid pond, the remnants of the concrete road, the 1988 fire, the earthquake, and the consequences of those natural events on the park. He also explained how mineralized, super dead trees were formed and, most importantly, how Yellowstone's bio-ecosystem is changing the world, with potential futures for biodiesel and microplastic-consuming organisms! We could tell this guy loves his job so much that he became a nerd--in the best way possible. He made the entire group feel comfortable, was always ready to answer questions, and happily chatted with anyone interested. He's extremely funny; we couldn't help laughing out loud at his hilarious and brilliant safety instructions. We definitely had a blast on this snowmobile tour, and it was 110% worth every penny because Ben was our guide!!! Book Yellowstone Vacation Tours ASAP, especially with Ben if you can. Since our casting is far from professional and current conditions of the rivers were high and fast, we opted for a lake. The great thing about Yellowstone is there are so many wonderful options. You can white water raft, hike, zip line, e-bike tours, etc... We booked them all! Sadly, we chose Big Sky E-bike tours. The tour started off great. The owner, Jay was our guide. About halfway into the tour, the it starts. Jay brings up Trump and how attending "Trump's school" was the thing he's most proud of. It was like he needed us to know he was MAGA. Jay followed up at the next stop by telling my family how he and everyone hates Californians because they drive up the home prices. Why did Jay feel compelled to say these things? For the record, I am originally Texas, have lived in Californian for 20 years, don't own or plan on buying property in Montana, and was visiting as a tourist pumping my tourist dollars into the local community. It's a free country. Jay can run his business anyway he likes. So, if he doesn't want to serve people from California and feels compelled to profess his love for Trump, that's cool. I wish he had posted that information on his website and not waited until we were in the middle of a 4 hour tour. I would have respected his honesty and simply booked another company. I don't think this would be bad business for Jay. Marketing exclusively to the MAGA community would probably be great business. Anyway, enjoy your time in Montana.
