Ordered one slice each of the "Mary's" (all meat) and the "La Ramona" (vegetables). Each slice is about 10" wide at the crust end by 12" to the point. The meat dough was reminiscent of Pizza Inn 20 years ago, a little spongy in a good way with a crisp, crunchy bottom. I felt there could still be more meat, but it was acceptable. Could have used a little more flavor. Especially in the sausage and pepperoni, I definitely expected more flavor to counter the neutral dough. By comparison, the "La Ramona" was disappointing. Bland and the bottom was not crispy, nor was the dough as thick, so it was chewy and not as interesting texturally or flavor wise. Add your standard grated parmesan, dried oregano, hot pepper flakes, and if so inclined, the "Calabrain Chili Pepper Sauce" they have available which tastes like smooth tomato sauce with a kick--in order to add more textures to each bite, and a bit more flavor. The staff was friendly and nice. They did ask if we were eating in or if it was to go, however, they forgot to ask us if we wanted a box or a paper boat. We ended up with a box, which wasn't environmentally friendly when it is unclear if they recycle the boxes which are piled high in all the "trash/recycle" bins they have by the door when you leave. We would have asked for the paper boat. They have paper straws available for those who want to use them. Would I return? Maybe, but I'd be more aware of asking about a crispy bottom as you order. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, which goes to Rosso in the states, or places in Europe. But it is acceptable and fills your hungry gut when you need a hit. If you like Mary's Pizza Shack, you'll love the Slice Shack. I stopped in for lunch today, and they have lots of favorites - cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian, Mary's combo, and a neat pesto pizza, too. I ordered a slice of Mary's combo - huge, glorious, wonderful. And at $5.50 for a huge slice, it's a deal! I couldn't finish my piece. They've got Mary's salads too and neat, fancy sodas. I'm an east coast pizza-lover and this pizza shop blew my taste buds away! Some of the best brick oven pizza I've ever had! The service was friendly and speedy. My boyfriend, father and I picked up three slices and pesto breadsticks to-go. We got two pepperoni and one meat lovers slice. I'm usually not a huge meat lovers person but this slice was a-mazing, it was loaded with really fresh hunks of good-quality sausage, thick pepperoni, and sautéed mushrooms. I loved the addition of mushrooms mixed in the meat lovers pie! The pesto breadsticks were also great - they were swirly with a nice zingy pesto sauce in between the crevices. The oven baked pizza crust was sooooooo good. The slices are huge. The amount of toppings is vey generous (I hate when places skimp on toppings!) After drinking wine all day, we decided we were too drunk to go out and ended up calling Mary's ten minutes before they closed to order their brightest pizza. They said the large was 20 inches, I said sold and the rest was history. Well there was a bit of confusion between Mary's belt the slice and the Mary's next door- confusion that left this tipsy girl with a large pizza from both. Wandered in here when our wine country tour dropped us off in the plaza area for lunch. Great find. My boyfriend and I sat with Ronnie at the bar, and even though she was slammed the whole time, she took excellent care of us. She was friendly, funny, and on top of her game. After several crummy service experiences in San Fran, she was a breath of fresh air. We had spaghetti and meatballs, some side salads, and pizza. Really great sauce, on both the pasta and pie. Stopped by tonight during the busy Saturday night of the Vintage Festival. Thought it would be ridiculously mobbed and backed up since there was pandemonium outside. It was quite busy but these guys were jamming out the pies. I got my slices within a few minutes, everyone was super polite and friendly and the slices were ENORMOUS! Was shocked that they were so huge for the price ($4.50 I think?). They made small error on one of my slices (or maybe I wasn't talking loud enough, but fixed it right away and were so pleasant. In my book it's not if you make a mistake, but how you handle it that makes it breaks a customer relationship. My expectations for new businesses are pretty low, it seems like they always start out a little wobbly with new staff, etc. This place is well above the curve. Bravo! read more

I can't say if their pizza is good or not. Quick and convenient it is not. After waiting in line for nearly 45 minutes, we ordered 2 slices of pepperoni--which they had readily available. The girl taking our order never collected our money and people behind us paid and got their specially made pizza. They were obviously short staffed, but should have been aware that there were busses dropping off from a music festival nearby. The girl at the counter was trying to take orders, collect money, and help Goldilocks make the pizzas. The young guy making the pizzas kept dragging his hands through his blonde hair and definitely wasn't hurried at all, so maybe it was a blessing we just walked out. Such a wonderful idea! It is nice to get a meal for two on the plaza for just $20. It's Mary's foods with an added convience- to go and by the slice! In addition to their pizza, they also sell wine, beer, breadsticks, pestosticks, soup of the day, and salads. We grabbed our lunch and enjoyed it on a bench on the plaza. I never go out of my way to leave bad reviews but one of the employees was SO RUDE. I usually get great service here but when my daughter and I came in today, we felt unwelcome and offended. This employee shouted at us for ordering extra sauces and for ordering to-go in front of other customers. UNNECESSARY AND DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR. Had a slice of "La Romana" and really enjoyed it. Didn't have much in the way of expectations. I thought the crust was pretty good. The pesto was mild and the chicken, artichoke and sun dried tomato worked well. My only complaint was the gentleman taking our order was a little rude to myself and the family. Slice Shack is a great addition to the Sonoma Plaza! They're fast and the slices are delicious, plus I love that I can create my own combination.
