I'd give it 0 stars if it would let me!! This place is rarely open, and if you do happen to catch him there, be ready to hear his opinion on politics, his signs prove that point!! Along with that, he is extremely expensive with his firewood. We wanted 30 sticks of Oak firewood, and he wanted $110 for it. We drove to 1585 & Frankford and got the same amount for $40. It's sad, when we live in New Home, a few miles up the road, and we will pass it up to go the few extra miles to give someone else our business. Love being able to shop local so decided to stop in. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable. Greeted warmly by all employees who went above and beyond to help find the exact vegetables we were looking for. The owner had awesome recommendations on what would grow in the west Texas area and also gives out his personal phone number to which you can't text for help on any plant issues you have. I would not shop anywhere else. His signs may not be for everyone but when it comes to knowledge and customer service this is the place to shop! read more

They had a great selection of daises, white roses, calle lillies, as they only deal with all things white. But I did overhear that they do work closely with their local Klan chapter, supplying them with the wood for burning crosses on people's lawns. read more

Trash market. Everything is messy and not sanitized. Some of the plants are dead, seems like the owner doesn't care. Elsewhere is recommended unless you want to get sick from the smell as well. read more

I bought several hundred dollars worth of flowers and plants and all died except 1 within 8 days. I really believe the plants were chemically boosted. I returned to the store with a car full of dead plants and was told off by the staff. I wasn't even looking for a full refund but I was hoping they would help me replace everything at a fair price. The employee laughed. I will never buy anything from this place again and you should think twice about it as well. read more

I went to Slide Plant Market last week and was extremely impressed with the plants and the service. I bought the most beautiful hanging baskets with mixed flowers and several hanging asparagus ferns. Every single basket was lush and full. Plants were hardy and very reasonably priced. They were actually quite a bargain for their large size! The owner was extremely helpful and offered advice on the care of several different kinds of plants. The plants are thriving and I am so very pleased with them. I would highly recommend going to the Slide Plant Market for beautiful, healthy and reasonably priced plants. It was well worth the bit of a drive and I'll certainly go again! read more

They are very helpful with any questions I have in regards to the plants I buy there and even to questions I have about my flower beds. This place has the worst people working there. First thing they told me was they don't speak Spanish. I was confused since I'm American. They were not helpful at all and kept voicing their racist and political views. Honestly had to leave because it was very threatening. read more

My husband bought 3 tomato plants that were supposed to be good growers in this area, they were $10.00 a piece! I've had to pull one up already & the other 2 look horrible. I thought maybe we were getting to much rain & not enough sunshine, but the Celebrities I bought from Market St for 5 bucks w/ 2 plants in 1 pot are doing far better then the ones we bought from Slide Plant Market. When my husband sent him a picture of these bad looking plants, he was told by the guy, they're planted in grass, the grass is sucking up all the water, really?? I am an urban farmer & have planted my tomato plants like that for yrs & never had any problems. My husband also bought 2 jalapeno plants & 1 of them already died! I have transplanted to volunteers that grew up from my compost dirt & they are kicking butt compared to the substandard plants we bought! I will never buy another high priced tomato plant or any plant for that matter from Slide Plant Market again!! read more

Checked them out a few days back, after spending the last two weekends shopping around everywhere else in town from Little Red to Ivey to Lowe's etc. Have to admit this was the last place I went to. This will definitely continue to be the last place I ever go to. Selection wasn't anything of decent quality especially lots plants with disease. Prices were not a good value and even if there was quality, prices too high. Couldn't get much help. Answers to my questions were like hearing a used car salesman making stuff up and trying to sound knowledgeable. Huge fail. Took my children with me and left having to explain things to my kids that I shouldn't have to explain. Their political ideology is thrown right into your face but the way they do is what is offensive and not anything I want my kids to learn about. I would have given them only 1 star but they do have plants so I will give them 2 stars, and that's very generous. read more
