Dr. Duthu has been my children's pediatrician since they were born. Obviously anyone going to…read moreschool for that long to be a children's doctor loves kids and it definitely shows with Dr.Duthu. She calls my little girl things like "sweet petunia" and "buttercup" and my little boy "brave bulldozer" and "handsome". She's really soft spoken, gentle and kind. I really love her. Recently her own daughter graduated med school and is also a pediatrician. She joined her mother's practice and I've had the pleasure of meeting her when Dr. Duthu was either booked or on vacation. She is as sweet as her mother. If you need a pediatrician, I highly recommend this practice.

I was readmitted into the…read morehospital in then which Harrell reported me to Child Protective Services , because I failed to appear at an appointment with my newborn, while I was in the hospital. I would hate to think it was because of my skin color. Thanks to Children's Hospitals' Wonderful doctors (Located in New Orleans) , Harrell's case was closed because her allegations were proven to be false.

Today I had appointments for both of my children one of which is 4 and the other who is 8 weeks…read moreold. I've waited almost 2 months for these appointments. The appointment for my newborn was especially important because we need to make sure he is growing properly and what not. The lady who scheduled my appointments clearly gave me the times. One was for 10:40am and the other was for 3pm. When I arrive at the office for the first appointment the receptionist said I missed my appointment because it was for 9am. I was upset but okay things happen I figured I would just reschedule because it's for my 4 year old. Then I check to see if my newborns appointment was really set for 3 and she tells me "No that was for 9am also." Now my sons were seeing two different doctors. Why on earth would I schedule the appointments at the same exact time? I didn't. They had everything messed up on their end. The ochsner automated system even called me yesterday to confirm the appointments for 10:40am and 3pm. So this was a huge mishap on their part. The ladies were extremely rude and rolled their eyes multiple times while we were trying to figure everything out. They told me I couldn't get my sons in until next year. That's ridiculous because 1) the waiting room was completely empty. There was one other person there. And 2) How can a newborn wait an until he's almost 6 months old to see a doctor? I decided to take my children elsewhere and I wouldn't recommend this place for two reasons... they can't get their appointments right to save their lives... and the staff members are extremely rude to their patients and parents.
