I hired Claire for a renovation of my 2,600 sq ft flat in London, expecting professional interior design services. Instead, she did little more than act as a poorly managed project coordinator--and even at that, she failed miserably. Lack of Design Input & Poor Project Management I only needed basic updates (repainting, wallpaper, and curtains), yet Claire failed to contribute any meaningful design input. Every idea she proposed was uninspiring, so I ended up sourcing everything myself. Despite this, she still charged premium fees. Since I don't live in London full-time, I relied on her to oversee the work properly--but she didn't. Every time I visited to check progress, I found multiple mistakes that should have been obvious to anyone paying attention. I had to personally point out errors that she should have caught. The curtains I ordered through her were so poorly made that they weren't even straight! The Scam: Lied About Using Farrow & Ball Paint The worst part came after the renovation was "finished." A month later, while boiling water in the kitchen, I accidentally left the lid open for less than a minute. Steam rose to the upper cupboard, and to my shock, a large white mark appeared on the painted door. I had specifically requested Farrow & Ball paint (a high-end, durable brand I've used for 25+ years). Suspicious, I asked the contractor about it--he admitted they did not use Farrow & Ball. When I confronted Claire, she lied repeatedly, insisting she had ordered Farrow & Ball. After I presented her with evidence from both the contractor and Farrow & Ball itself (who confirmed their paint wouldn't react that way), she finally admitted the truth. She had used a different, cheaper brand without informing me, despite charging me for Farrow & Ball. Can You Trust Anything She Orders? This incident made me question everything. If she cut corners on something as fundamental as paint, what else did she swap out without my knowledge? I paid her a premium to handle orders, only to be deceived. Final Verdict Claire is not a designer--at best, she's a sloppy project manager, and at worst, she's dishonest. If you value trust, quality, and professionalism, stay far away. You're better off managing your own project or hiring someone truly reliable.

I knew full well what to do but was just too attached to all my things. I was lucky enough to find Katherine in my search to book someone immediately. She was the perfect person for the job in many ways. Firstly I immediately liked her energy and personality on the phone and during our initial useful skype consult. So I knew we would get on. Decluttering is very personal and would not work as well with someone who did not understand you and your space. She came for a 4h our blitz session and boy does time fly. So we concentrated on the main areas and then discussed ideas for the others. I cleared out 20 bags for Oxfam and she came with me in the car to drop off which is very handy part of her service. She is full of energy and sympathy for the task at hand and although we both worked hard I felt a sense of achievement at the end of our session. You are then inspired to keep the process going where possible. And am sure I would love to have her again to tackle my small overspilling kitchen for another much needed blitz. We accumulate so many things over the years that a decluttering session is a much needed service once in a while to breathenew life into your space.

The following is our review for a full home unpack/declutter/organize which Homefuless completed for us recently: We moved to London from the US and when our 5 BR home worth of belongings arrived in one giant shipping container it was overwhelming to say the least. I frantically googled for "London version of The Home Edit" and thankfully found Caroline and Homefulness. She responded immediately and offered to come by the following day (a Sunday!) to assess the project and provide me with guidance/assurance that her team could tackle it. She maneuvered schedules of her squad and two days later her ninjas were in our house beginning to work their magic. Zanelle, Maya, Molly, and Claire were incredible - full of energy, positivity, and solutions .. a real "can-do" approach to what seemed like a mountain of items to go through. They made it all achievable and they did so with my dog and two toddlers running around them. If you work full time as well, note you will not be required to be "on site" for the entirety of the project - only the decluttering which requires your input. That was huge as my work schedule has been packed. They offer a variety of services but we went for the full moving suite including decluttering, containing, and organizing. The Homefulness approach made everything seamless and allowed us to declutter (almost entirely through charitable donations) a ton of items. I loved that the team always made me feel great about the decisions we were making on categories (no guilt on what you keep vs not), and the speed with which they came up with solutions. They were so quick with taking measurements and ensuring that the product we needed to complete the project was reviewed by me at the end of each day (or intraday) and ordered immediately for arrival next-day. One large item (a wardrobe to hang clothing) arrived and required assembly - Caroline was able to tap into her network to have a handyman there next day to assemble. It made a big difference to see the space taking shape day by day. They label everything and take you through a tour of your home on the final day to showcase where everything is intuitively placed. The results are BEAUTIFUL - my husband, kids, pup and I are actually able to get right to enjoying our home and living life in London. It would have taken us MONTHS to do what Caroline's team did so expertly in days. Fantastic job all around and we give our highest recommendation!
