While she did our hair she took her time. She knew exactly what to do to make the curls stay. My mom was hesitant on if her hair would stay curled throughout the night because her hair usually looses curls within an hour of curling her hair. Well Daryl did such an amazing job and knew the right products to use that my mom's and all of our hair not only last the night, but lasted all day the following day. We were all impressed. My sister who didn't want to spend the money to have her hair done was immediately jealous when she saw everyone's hair that Daryl did. Darly also did my make up. I was in town with my family who were all out skiing but I had knee surgery recently and the wifi wasn't working in our condo so I had nothing but time to drive around and hope for the best. The first place I tried was a no go but when I peeked in to Jocelyn Lee I was excited to see only a handsome gentleman with an adorable little boy and the beautiful owner I'd recognized from her photo. I asked if she had time for a walk-in and she frowned and said "not really, but what do you need?" I said "I'd love a bang trim and a blow dry but if you don't have enough time just a bang trim" She said "I've got 30 minutes but that's enough time" I have long, fairly thick hair but I wasn't gonna argue. To my surprise she gave me one of the best shampoo/blow-outs I'd ever gotten and the trim was perfect. The service didn't feel the least bit rushed and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Jocelyn. She shared a little about living in Mammoth and what brought her there, told me about some shops around town that are hidden gems, gave me the numbers for a massage therapist and a manicurist that she likes and told me about her sweet little boy that was visiting her when I arrived. It didn't take long to realize that Jocelyn is every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and she is great at what she does. Also, her shop is so nice and has a posh, high-end vibe and is located next to Sage to Pine which is an eclectic little apothecary/candle/self care collective that carries amazing products! It felt like such a luxury experience I couldn't believe that she only charged me $45! I will absolutely go back to Jocelyn Lee next time and every time I'm back in Mammoth.

I have been a loyal consumer for 16 years. I've had many different styles over the years, some my ideas & some hers when I need something different and cant figure it out, and I've been uber happy with all of them. As far as color goes, I'm a former blonde that went brown as soon as I moved to mammoth.Lisa has been able to highlight that drab brown and replicate the natural blonde highlights I had when I lived at the beach. Whenever I mention to friends that I have my hair colored everyone's reaction is always "I would've never know - it looks so natural" My reply is always "that's exactly why I would only have Lisa do it" then I pass out her card! On another note I've been cutting my sons hair for the first 9 years of his life or hitting up a Supercuts on the way to Grandmas house. Anyways I gave him a really bad cut last year and had to beg him to give Lisa a try (he is super shy and the thought of going to a salon flipped him out) he agreed and we scheduled an appointment. She rescued his hair and he has been agreeable to schedule regular appointments since. One more thing to mention here is a few months back we showed up to his regular haircut scheduled with Lisa and she asked him if was willing to try a new style she had in mind for him (she already checked with me before his appointment) and he was keen (mom was shocked).
