We missed so many shops in Michigan because they wouldn't allow well behaved dogs! Their loss! The owner, Sabrina, is as sweet as her shop! There are SO many wonderful things at reasonable prices and the place is bigger than it looks! It's neat, tidy, and well organized. My only complaint is that it is over 2 hours from where I live! I found a sweet artist print that I took home but had to pass on a furniture piece that we didn't have room for! Don't miss this one if you love antiques, collectibles or home decor!! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Anyway, without further ado, my review of Touches of Time Antique Mall: I love antiques! I love anything that's old, any thing that reminds me of the past. My favorite subject growing up was history... still is one of my favorite types of book to read. I just feel like I was born in the wrong time. More over, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping for home decor. I love making my home more beautiful and comfortable. Antique stores, which combine both my love of old things and my love of decor... is one of my favorite types of store to shop in. Touches of Time, is one of the better antique stores I have been to and has become one of my favorite stores in my new home town of Van Wert. I have come several times already. I have bought items for myself including beer steins, antique candle holders, and other items. I bought my friend apple some cute gifts from here, that she loved. I also came here during the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk, which they were involved to giving out free chocolate. This store is just wonderful, it has items of all kinds: Christmas decorations, books, furniture, collectibles, tools, a huge grandfather clock, coins, etc. Come here often because there is always sometime new and interesting here to find. Place is huge, three floors for you to explore! What more can I say about it, except that you need to come check it out!

The thing is, the old owner removed the workings inside one of the clocks and i have no idea what she did to the other. I spent months trying to find someone who knew how to fix them and my lawn guy told me to call Laudick's Jewelry because and speak with Mike Litchle. I called him and on the phone he helped me get one of the clocks working, the other he had to come himself. He came by and fixed my clock and taught me how to set the clock weekly. So if you have a grandfather clock needing to be fixed... this is a place to go. Besides that, its a beautiful jewelry store. Definitely a place to buy some jewelry for a significant other or someone you love. If and when i find someone to buy some jewelry for, definitely will come here. They are supposedly planning in a few weeks a set of events first a ladies night where ladies pick out several pieces they would like their husband, boyfriend, whoever to buy them. Then weeks after, a separate event for the men tk come and buy from that list... hang out... drink and eat and have fun with other guys. That sounds so cool! I have come here a few times since I have moved to Van Wert. It's one of the few pharmacies in…read moretown. Still I would rather come here than Walmart for pharmaceuticals. I also have come here to shop for snacks and other stuff. The staff is helpful and the store has everything you need in a drug store. Still I will say that soda is a bIt expensive. I used to make a habit of buying soda from drug stores (if I didn't want to make the trek to Costco as that is the cheapest place to get soda). In Florida, you normally can get 3 for $9 or 4 for $11 on packs of soda but not in this store. Also it could also have a larger chocolate section... I mean chocolate always makes me feel better?

I discovered this hidden gem and was excited to be able to do the pumpkin patches again with my kids. They have a large and small pumpkin patch that both my kids loved doing, fun, commentated wagon ride, smore making down by the river, great deal on pumpkins from the patch, putt putt, food truck, goats, and tons more activities. I also added the round trip kayaking which topped it off. The family was very involved and engaged with the visitors and super sweet. You can tell they truly enjoy sharing their farm with the community and seeing the happiness on faces. Now that I know about this place and all they offer, more trips are in store and can't wait to see what they add next year.

Honestly this location was a lot nicer and cleaner than the Goodwill stores I've been to in Fort Wayne, Indiana where I usually shop. I didn't feel like I was in a thrift store at all and the staff were friendly.
