This is my goodest girl when she was feeling better.

Dr. Turner and her staff were amazing. Dr Turner gave us the information we needed and her recommendations with compassion but without sugar coating it. An emergency vet is not the place you ever want to find yourself but Sweeney was given the very best care and we are thankful that she had this amazing team fighting for her.

Take your money first then tell you it will be a 4-6 hour wait. If you leave, they charge you $30. What a rip off

Their prices were comparable with any emergency vet and I would highly recommend them.

I brought my dog to PAH as a new patient about a year ago for ongoing loose stool and diarrhea…read moreissues. After requesting blood work, it was revealed that he had PLE. We chose the non-invasive treatment route with steroids. However, we were given very little guidance regarding the treatment plan, expected duration of steroid use, or follow-up monitoring. No one from the clinic bothered to check in on his progress after treatment began. Whenever I called with questions or concerns and wanted guidance from the vet, I was frequently told that she was unavailable and would not be able to get back to me until the following week. This was frustrating given the seriousness of my dog's condition and the fact that he was taking long-term steroids. I eventually sought a second opinion from another vet, and the difference in communication and follow-up care was night and day. It was a relief to find a vet who was proactive and actually cared about monitoring my dog's condition. Based on my experience, I would not return to this clinic and would recommend looking elsewhere for veterinary care.

She will make remarks and have a ridiculous attitude if you refuse her recommendations, which are founded on out of date information and practices. She argues with owners openly in front of staff and will not advocate for best practices for the family. She also struggles with basic technical skills and will blame the pet for her incompetence. We will not be taking our pets here again. 2 stars because the staff is kind and tries to be accommodating.

Very disappointed with Dr Lisa Kivett. Went out to the barn one morning and my gelding was falling…read moreover and could hardly walk. Called the practice and she called back and diagnosed him over the phone with rabies and said the only way she would come out was if i submitted his body to Raleigh. I told her No, that I felt it was not rabies and she told me good luck and hung up the phone. Called another vet, Dr Thomas Daniel, who was extremely caring and came out right away. My gelding had EPM and was treated and doing fine. No vet should make a diagnosis over the phone without even seeing the animal. If it was up to her, my gelding would be in the ground for something that was treatable the whole time. Will never call that practice again.
