I finally got around to trying Smalls and I think once is enough. When they first opened, the line was wrapped around the building but now you can just pull right on in. I never see more than 1 car here when I drive by. So I pull up to the drive thru menu, and I was expecting to see a variety of sliders. Nope. They had 1 kind plus a special which was a bacon, bbq, jalapeno slider. They didn't say what was on the regular sliders on the menu or their website anywhere. Well, I hate mayo based sauces.so I figured I'd be safer with the special since the title says what's on it. I order the jalapeno bbq bacon sliders, the lady says which number? I look at the menu and basically you can order 2,3, or 4. I order 2. Well, I got 2 regular sliders and yep they had a thousand island type mayo-based sauce on the crusty hockey puck of a slider with a pickle and cheese. Seriously how do you screw up an order with 2 choices!?!? The fries were like Temu Chic-Fil-A breaded waffle fries that were not good either. Ore-Ida in the microwave is the only thing I have had worse. These were at least crisp but tasted like 37-year-old grease. So, all of this sounds like a 1-star review, but Drew Brees owns them, and he won us a Super Bowl so 1 extra star. Have more options. Make gourmet sliders. I finally decided to give this place a try after years of stalling lol. I ordered 3 burgers, fries, cheese sauces, and a cookies and cream milkshake. First and foremost, the service was just OK. The man at the window didn't seem too interested in being of service, but everyone has their days or moments, I guess. The actual burgers were okay. I don't think they're anything to run back to. The bun was nice and soft. The meat was grilled nicely; however, I was expecting it to have more flavor and moistness. It wasn't completely dry; rather, a bit dehydrated, if you will. The fries were pretty good. The cheese sauce is on the thicker side, but really flavorful with a slight kick. I enjoyed it! The star of the show was the milkshake! It is arguably one of the best fast food milkshakes, in my opinion. It's thick, creamy, and the actual vanilla is near perfect. Overall, I'll probably stick to regular ole castle burgers. Chas and my friend Chloe had been to Smalls Sliders already and they said I absolutely needed to check them out when I got back down to the Nola area. Yeah ok...don't threaten me with food! Upon pulling up it immediately gave off a Chic Fil A feel with the way the drive thru was setup and how people were working the drive-thru taking orders on foot. It also in a way gave off a checkers feel by the look of the building and limited seating outside. Neither of those things were a plus or minus for me honestly, but I could see the drive thru being something people don't love because once you're in it, there's no way out so if they're super busy, you're stuck. We grabbed some cheeseburger sliders with bacon meals. The food came out fairly quickly and everything looked and smelled great. I mean, if you go into this thinking you're going for white castle, you're going to be insanely surprised. I have been to many slider spots so I was aware of what was to come, but I think people associate sliders with white castle or krystal and that is just not the game anymore. Plenty of meat, bacon, and cheese and the rolls were soft and fresh. I'm not sure what else I could even say about them. Cooked well and seasoned well. I never get waffle fries at chic fil a because they're always lukewarm and not crispy but these waffle fries were good, I have no complaints about them. These little big sliders are super tasty and filling. I don't eat a lot of red meat anymore but boy oh boy when I got these, I was like, "you sure you wanna give up red meat??" They were hot, fresh and juicy. As my husband and I first time here, we ordered two of these biggie sliders with fries. When we got the order, I told the lady we're missing a box. Apparently, they put both sliders in one container lol. So, just be aware of that before you get home and realize you're missing food lol. I've visited twice before doing a review just so I had time to really assess. I thought the hype would have died down a bit by now, but on my second visit, I still waited 40 minutes in line. As others have stated, the fact that you can't get out of line after you get there is very problematic and should be rethought for safety and efficacy reasons at the very least. So we attended on opening day. While a way was definitely to be expected, I most certainly didn't think it was going to be a 2 and a half hour wait. Once we entered the drive through, we were completely STUCK! As a Human Resources and business operations professional, I'm always tracking data to improve quality and service. When I got to the speaker to order, similar to Chick fil A, there were two staff present taking orders. They appeared to be very exhausted. I asked the order taker how long she thought the wait time was. She stated that it was supposed to be 3-5 minutes. Surely I figured she must've misunderstood what I was asking, and rephrased the question, "From the point of view of entry into the drive through line this evening, how long do you think people are waiting?" She repeated what she said before. I said, well I understand what it's supposed to be, and giving grace because it's so. We, however our wait time thus far has been 2 hours. She didn't seem bothered by it. I proceeded to order a 4 slider meal with 2 milkshakes. At that point, we were told that the milkshake machine was tired and wasn't working as they had sold over 300 milkshakes earlier in the day. I said, it would have been nice to know that when we initially entered the line and was given these paper menus. Another 20 minutes later we were at the wind onto receive our order. The manager from Atlanta was assisting and apologized, and handed us 2 free Combo 1 cards. The food was hot and fresh, though the burgers seemed to have been cooked on a grill that needed some cleaning. They were extremely greasy and you could taste the grease. The Queso was very good and the fries were hot as were the burgers. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: 1. Time how long the lines are taking for process improvement and let people know prior to entering the line. 2. There was a better use of time for the 4 individuals in the parking lot walking around telling people to pull up an inch. They could/should have been assisting with processing orders. 3. If there is an item not on the menu, post a sign or let customers know before sitting in line for 2+ hours. I'm happy to consult on an operational and/or human resource perspective. I'm sure we'll be back but I'll allow the hype to die down a bit and let the team improve their systems. read more

I was so excited for Smalls Sliders to open, but that quickly turned to disappointment. The line was a bit long but moved rather fast. I ordered the 3 sliders meal with a sweet tea. The tea was delicious. Everything else...not so much! The food was really greasy and bland. The fries looked so good but didn't taste like anything. The burgers seemed like a poor quality of meat and one of the other guests had a raw burger. I paid an extra $1 per slider to add bacon that I ended up throwing in the trash because it was just barely done.
