On a recent trip to Florence I was on the look-out for art stores and art supplies-- both as…read morenecessity and to compare to art stores in the United States. Although Bati is a small store, and combination art/hardware/& hobby shop, it had just what I needed. Bati's owner spoke English & was so nice and helpful that I wished I had needed more supplies. He stocks acrylics, oil and watercolor supplies for the serious as well as amateur artist. I bought a pack of Daler-Rowney watercolor postcards that I had forgotten to pack before departure from the US. I painted my way through Florence, Venice & Tuscany. FYI: the Italian postal service is rather slow for delivery to the US. As each card arrived I was reminded of "my" little art store on Via Verdi Giuseppe. An added bonus was that Bati was not far from Santa Croce and our airbnb on Via dei Neri.

Qualità pessima e personale anche peggio. Acquistato un mobiletto già di fascia medio alta per il…read morebalcone. Dopo poche settimane plastica rotta sia sopra che sotto. Chiamo il negozio e mi passano il reparto. La commessa mi dice di riportarlo perché essendo di marca buona mi verrà sostituita. Sottolineo il fatto che vengo da fuori e che pertanto avendo più di mezz'ora di viaggio ho bisogno che sia sicuro il cambio e mi viene risposto "stia tranquilla ne abbiamo 24 in magazzino. Lo porti che lo sostituiamo". Prendo permesso da lavoro per andare a sostituire e una volta li mi dicono che non può essere sostituito perché posso averlo rotto per cattivo uso io. Chiedo di parlare con un responsabile e dopo quasi un'ora di attesa mi dicono che il responsabile è appena andato a pranzo e che se voglio posso aspettare il suo rientro. Occhio per il cliente veramente squallido. Piuttosto che comprare altro resto senza! Una stella perché 0 non si può dare.
